Hmm. I would pause, shift to get out of my character, and then try to film from on spot. Should be able to keep filming without it stopping each time you die!

Awesome tutorial, concise and nice I figured it out quickly thanks to you but I was wondering if there was a way to record your point of view along with the vanilla gui or will you have to be recording for separate point of views?
You can record the your point of view by hitting b, selecting your person, and then making your time and key frames from that POV. But it won’t show your taskbar, and it won’t show your inventory/when you open storage you cant see the items.

I've always wondered how they made timelapses of builds, but it's really easy. They just press record, start building, the replay mod will record *everything* that happens in the world not just the pov of the builder. and edit it after.

Yes you can do that! It’s hard to explain via writing though. I know that PxlRiffs has a replay mod tutorial series that explains how to do it though 😊

Make a time/position key frame, unpause the video, let it play for how long you want it to be, move like 1 inch forward, make a new time and position key frame!

I would experiment with your render settings when you go to render! I think you have an option to chance the framerate there :) if you need more help join the discord and I can try to help you better there!!

My guess would be that you have to go into curseforge, look up that API, and install it to your mods folder! (Windows + r, -> .Minecraft -> mods

I know you can! I actually don’t know how exactly to do it though. My best guess is that when you’re about to export your replay video, look at the export settings and there might be a setting for “render audio”!

Okay extremely dumb question, but how do I open the replay mod editor thingy?😭 I have the mod installed and I've recorded my video but I can't for the love of me figure out how to find the recording???
There will be a replay mod logo in the minecraft title screen. You can click that and it will show you all your recordings, called "Replay Viewer". Selecting a replay will open up a lot of options out of which edit will be the one to open that "replay mod editor thingy".

The thing I wanted to do with replay was to have the camera stay still and teleport not move around. Essentially I want the camera to cut from one place to another. Is there any way to do something like that?
Yes! Make two different time frames (even if they’re like .5 seconds apart on the top timeline. On the bottom timeline make a time/position key frame, and then another 5 seconds after, but keep the camera position still (in the same spot) when making the second position key frame.
how do you get it to not pan? I know its fine for some things but I've been struggling with it not panning. I want it to go from one position to the next with out the cinematics and then utilize them later in the video.
Make your first set of keyframes, and only move the camera forward like an inch for the next position keyframe!
idk why but for me i cant save my clip and it says "some of your kyeframes are out of order ...." but i dont know how to remove the kye frame that is wrong
I would hit c to clear the keyframes and try again - when making your cinematic you accidentally put one of your time markers before another one, but replay mod can only to forward motion cinematics. You can fix it once you have an eye for it but if you’re getting started with replay I would just make it again!

I’ve thought about that before. Maybe if you send your replay recording file in .Minecraft to someone else and make sure they have the same mods list as you? I’m not sure.

I usually quit out of replay and then Minecraft, and then reboot it. Usually this solves it when I have this problem.

Shaders apply regardless of Minecraft version - place the zip file in the shaderpacks folder of .Minecraft!

Why do you use time keyframes at every position keyframe? I've done a few videos now and it seems you can have a start and finish time keyframe only.

Do you play with shaders?
If not add them and then and use fabric as a launcher and when you use replay you should be able to toggle them on and off in video settings, just as if you were playing with them!
I use BSL shader, but it’s not compatible with fabric.
@@erinhorsevlog it has to work with fabric I think, bc replay mod is a mod and so it needs to work with the mod loader!

I hope that restarting the game will fix this 🫶 sometimes if it’s a MASSIVE file (2+ hours for me) it will do that. I try to record for 90 minute chunks max.
