Something that happened to me and to save lots of lives. To pull out the cursor u just need to use the keybind you normally use to open chat. If it doesn't work go to settings, controls, keybinds and change the keybind from the replay mode that uses the same letter as your "open chat" one. For example I had my chat to open on "i" and the position keyframe keybind was also "i" so instead of pulling the cursor it just put a position keyframe. Hope it helped anyone :)

just as a note to people, mine did not work after I had followed all of the steps. you MUST add .exe to ALL of the files in the bin folder otherwise it won't work.

Fyi to all people wanting to use shaders along with replay, Iris works way better and is way more optimized then optifaric. Instalation is easy ask well. Also optifabtic currently crashes minecraft while using fabric loader. Unsure why but it will give you error code 1 and no debug log.

Hey I wanted to ask, for the properties section mine has a different path and when I pasted it in and added the extra stuff you said to do it says i need to install ffmpeg, but I already did that. The only thing different compared to your video and my pc is the path. Could that be the problem and if so how could I fix it?
Please reply, what kind of rendering do you use? we are 4 people and making a large build but for some reason some chunks dont load or the whole map isnt loading sometimes, how can i fix this?

Also, is the recording suppose to have no sound? Or is there a setting that I might have missed, because it didn't have any sound after it rendered.
Unfortunately not, it's really annoying tbh, and idk why they still haven't added it. To get around this, before I render out a sequence, I go to my recording software, record it with sound, then later match them up in the editing software.

Hey thanks for the tutorial but is it possible to cut out certain part of the recording during the replay(keyframe and keytime). Eg:- I was digging a big hole and sometimes I go to the villager for some trading and come back for another mining session but I don't want this part in the replay. I used the pause option but it just made events and didn't actually pause it.
I would just speed through that section as much as possible

Can you do a video on how to do jump cuts in replay mod. I see youtubers like zayapixel doing these amazing how to build videos, and her jump cuts are slick. No wondering camera path. It's driving me mad. Im missing something for sure.
More than likely, the editing that you're describing are actually done in an external editing software. It would be very easy to take lots of little replays and just cut them all together. A little annoying with having to keep leaving and opening the world but also easier than dealing with silly camera paths that are trying to make nice lines automatically. Hope this helps ^-^
I skip through to the render thing because I was having trouble on that and it didn't work, I have fabric but I am using feather client, so does that affect it?

sometimes i will go to hit render, it will show the rendering page for half a second then it will just say “joining world”. after that it will pause on that screen for a few seconds and then my game will just crash. i’ve followed all the steps here but this is still happening occasionally. any ideas for how to fix that? thanks!

Does Replay Mod work with Distant Horizons? I am really struggling getting it to work. In the replay the high view distance is really buggy
When I try to get shaders and the reply mod it doesn’t work and keeps crashing idk what I am doing wrong
The problem for me is that when i use replaymod, modded blocks gets randomized into other random blocks, and when a modded mob comes in, the game crashes.
I am using Forge 1.19.2.
I have one problem. My character doesn’t display the animation, it moves but no walking animation. While every other mob in my surrounding does display their animation.
How can I solve this?

Hey, so I've been able to do everything up until the "Open with Java". I had installed WinRAR for something else earlier, and that seems to have messed everything up, and despite deleting it things are still being downloaded as WinRAR stuff. I'm really sure what I'm supposed to do now...
hmmm, okay that's interesting, cos I have winrar too and that doesn't happen. I'd suggest probably uninstalling and reinstalling winrar or java (or maybe both), to reset whatever's occured

I had the same issue and for a while couldn't figure it out. What worked for me is to search Java downloads in Google, go to the java page and simply hit download Java. I've not hand issues since then. Hopefully that'll help for you.

For some reason, when I click on my character to go where they are, when I press esc afterwards, it doesn't take me out of the player pov. I don't know if there is a fix for this but if there is that would be awesome!

HOW DO I HIDE THE STUPID GUIS AND BUTTONS? When I render they are still there also my character is stuck in place during the render as well
I keep running into an issue where having Optifine (and OptiFabric) added to the mods folder with the Replay Mod causes the game to crash before launch.
If you remove RP Mod, Optifine works with fabric without issue.
If you remove Optifine+OptiFabric, Replay Mod works without issue.
But they cannot both be active in the mods folder at the same time.. seemingly incompatible.
I've checked all version to ensure the downloads are in fact 1.20.4, including Fabric API.
Softwares updated and launching the same or corresponding versions.
Does Anyone have recommendations for further troubleshooting?

Optifabric doesnt work with replay mod so i suggest just using iris as your shaders
Unfortunately Optifabric and Optifine are not compatiable with the 1.20.4 version of the fabric loader ^^'

everything was normal when i skip forward the recorded video but when i scroll back the recorded video, the server resource pack of the server I'm playing keeps reloading itself , anyone know how to fix this ?
Same thing happens to me. It's probably another bug like the player teleporting that the devs haven't fixed yet

I tried this and for somereason it still won't render for me...
I found out why you do not need to copy and paste the location in the last step. You just need to download the ffmpeg, put it in the correct location which is just in the .minecraft folder then render. That is a slight messup in the video and I hope this helps anyone who was having trouble because I was.
