    It has to be said...
    There are many CZcamsrs who feign authenticity, but then there's awesome people like you, J.
    The level of detail and sincere commentary of these testing reviews is why channels like yours matter. Just mentioning the difference between the mid drive to hub benefits is just another example
    Bought my G Force T42 based on a review of yours and is awesome, 5 months later! Sorry for tldr

    It's a shame most e-bike manufacturers put the throttle on the left side. One of the main reasons I bought my Paselec GS9 was was right side throttle as I have been riding motorcycles all my life. Paselec GS9 has been a bulletproof great bike over 1 year ownership.

    Darn, that thing is a BEAST! love my lectric xp 3.0 and it does all that I need. but would love to have access to that level of power. I think I'd like to get a mid-drive bike too someday. Love the videos brother

  • @scrippslarry

    As usual you have to coolest stuff to test and you do authentic real world testing. That start from the middle of the hill at the end from a dead stop was crazy! Not many bikes are even going to move. My Ariel Rider X52 has 110 nm torque and can mash pretty much any hill with it's 52volts and 1,000w nominal (2,000w peak motor. Problem is it is so uncomfortable to ride. The seat is downright painful (on any ride over 30 minutes) and the leaned over cafe style riding position just makes it worse. I want a fairly powerful bike with beach cruiser style riding position but not too big. The Ariel Rider Kepler is a best in class powerful bike in the style I would like (and a great price at $1,899), but just too big and heavy. If they could make a “mini Kepler” that would be a huge seller I think!

    Just want to start off by saying great video
    In my personal opinion, I think a true hill test would be starting from the bottom of the hill in gear one, with no running start to build up momentum. No pedaling, 100% throttle
    100 trail runs would be sufficient in the testing, in order to determine how well the chain, sprocket, derailleur, and stall current holds under constant stress.

    I don't have that bike but mine has the same motor, and the difference I see between Eco and Sport modes if that in Sport mode the power seems to kick in quicker making it slightly more peppy.

    Of course it's powerful, it's a Bafang M620 motor 😁 If the gearing is right, a Bafang mid-drive is going to smoke most hub motors, if you can shift right. And for getting up hills, a mid-drive will win every time.

    Jeremiah, I like the Cobra Pro but am also interested in the Troxus T-Rex. They both seem like very good bikes and are very similar. Any thoughts?

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Just checked it out and does look pretty similar but I can’t tell if the front suspension on the T-Rex is an air fork or not. Looks like it might be hydraulic? Also not sure if the front is a through axle like the cobra pro?
      Hard to say tho without testing it.

    On my home built bike, I'm running the BBSHD with a 52v 20aH battery. My drivetrain is a 42t Lekkie with a 16t rear cog. I find it just goes up anything. I also have the same display and I have it semi unlocked to 65/90 Km/h but not stupid enough to try it on fully unlocked on PAS 9 without better wheels.
    Can this bike be fully unlocked?
    Being Canadian, I know my set up is completely no bueno in a peasant country like the UK. Otherwise, this bike is on my wish list.

    • @eidolusgad3818
      @eidolusgad3818 Před 11 měsíci

      @@JeremiahMcintosh I did it just through the settings. No USB cable was required. I reckon the BBSHD controller was just built different and not nerfed like the other controllers. For instance, same display as the Himiway but mine doesn't have the Eco or sport options.

  • @ChristmasEve777
    @ChristmasEve777 Před 11 měsíci

      @JeremiahMcintosh  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I agree it is a little pricey but it’s a lot of bike lol. Friends of ours just bought $6500 and $7000 trek E-bikes because they were lighter but that’s crazy lol.

      @@JeremiahMcintosh Yup!! I was just at a bike shop last Saturday and saw some bikes from the Trek lineup. Yeah, they're crazy expensive. Some of them are so sleek and light and they had torque sensors but no throttle. I liked them...until I saw the prices LOL

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  Před 11 měsíci

      Yep there’s doesn’t have a throttle either which I don’t think I would like much LOL and they also have significantly smaller batteries which leads to lighter weight but yet way more expensive!

    • @fraserthomson5766
      @fraserthomson5766 Před 11 měsíci

      If you know the science, 750w is a scam on a good day. Most controller are now 30a so if your battery is 48v, that's 1440w going in regardless of being 750 or 1000w motor. Dumb laws are a crime in themselves../@@ChristmasEve777

      Confiscated by who? I doubt police are going to be running around towns picking up EBikes any time soon.

    • @fraserthomson5766
      @fraserthomson5766 Před 11 měsíci +1

      The MET police in London routinely confiscate anything above 250w in blitzes, even converted ebikes not displaying the correct legal stickers get nabbed. Policy is nonsensical at best. We can have a throttle but only to propel us to 3.7mph after that we're breaking the law, and our legal 250w motors must stop any assistance beyond 15.5mph which is a tad on the low side.. @@scrippslarry
