    I hope these factories listen to you!! Adding parts, just to make their product what it should be from the factory, shouldn’t be necessary. Thank you for always helping us!

    Interesting video! At my age I'm not all that interested in how fast they go, but more about price and bang for the buck. I'm saving up to get an eLectric trike these days. I like their ability to haul items and ease of riding. I enjoy your great explanations on your videos.

    Just what I was looking for!!! Loved the bike but I right off the bat I thought the chainwheel/chainring was an obvious mismatch for all the great torque and high end speed that this bike is capable off. If you find a chainring that is a little larger that works, it would be great if you posted a video of that! It would be great to peddle at comfortable rate at 23-24 mph.

    i have a fat tyre 20x4 ebike with 500w motor and throttle,ive had it just under a year now and i always use top speed 5. i can get 26mph when the batteries have been charged up but after 35miles and down to 2 bars i only get 15mph on 5 that tells you how much power you lose over what miles you do and whats left in the batteries,great video jeremiah from uk.

    the 7 speed 14-28 shimano freewheel is one of my favorite gear clusters. Love the tight gearing but, you do need a 11-28 for high powered class 3 motors for the few free mph you get on the top speed.

    Hovesco said I could go as big as 48 teeth chainring without hitting the frame. Stock is 42. I have the HoveAlpha step-through. Do you think it's the same components? I'm exactly in the situation you were. I also noticed on your scamazon link to the freewheel page that they have one for ten bucks more that will give you a very low creeping gear too. That setup might prove useful should one lose power and have to pedal a dead, heavy fatbike back to camp. I'm a bit nervous about the chainring. I don't even know what type to get. I try to research and my eyes glaze over with all the info. It's like trying to drink through a firehose.

    Thanks again for all the help you give us, now I have a Lectric XP lite, it's been crashed a couple of times. Now, the headlight won't turn off, the dashboard indicates "on off" fine but you have to turn off the key to get it off. Any idea what it might be? Appreciate your help . Thanks again 11:40

    Thanks, perfect video! Was just contemplating this for my eBike. My e-bike has plenty of speed, but a lot of wasted energy when not required, therefore I am curious about battery life when geared properly for maximum efficiency. I understand that the e-bike makers use it more to govern the speed due to possible restrictions, but that has nothing to do with my desires, max battery life. We will see. I am still curious what should be changed first for my goals, front free wheel or back sprocket? Again, great video dude, you nailed it again!

    Im wanting to get a foldable bike. Right now I'm torn between, the Ranger s, hovbeta, and g-force t5.
    I'm trying to build my health back up from a hard battle of covid. I live just above Charlotte with Rolling Hills nothing really to steep.
    Here's where it gets tricky. I weigh about 370 right now but losing 5 ft 7 and need a rack to mount my oxygen tank on. I know ya thinking this guy is pure stud muffin i have been losing weight and looking forward to getting backout to riding.
    I very much enjoy watching your content. You're very knowledgeable and have an excellent way of communicating it to us. Hope you can reply with your thoughts have a great day

    Also, I would put a torque arm on one side at least. Those spacers work but can fail. My Zebra came with torque spacers and a torque arm on one side. I have seen many pictures of motor spinning and messing up the wire harnesses on bikes that only have those torque spacers!

    I have discussed this very thing with some of these e-bike makers. I have sent e-mails to some of them that these e-bikes absolutely need a free wheel that goes down to 11 tooth . Makes no sense to me to start them at 14 tooth at all. But to go along with that the chain ring absolutely needs to be minimum 52 tooth . That will let you be able to pedal assist still at 28 mph. If the free wheel starts at 14 tooth and the chain ring is 48 tooth or lower you will be spinning the pedals very fast by 20 mph. Making it useless to use pedals after that. Even better . The lyric cycle e-bike uses a 64 tooth chain ring . Giving you the ability to get use of pedaling up to 32 mph.
    All these e-bike manufactures need to understand these are necessary to get the full use of there pedal assist e-bikes. To many are still producing e-bikes with sprockets that are the wrong size.
    As always , find your videos very informative. Thank you

      Mind if I pick your brain? My hovsco hovalpha is stock at 42t chainring and the stock 14-28 freewheel. If I'm really getting on it with all I can cadence on pedal assist, I can get it around 25mph for a few seconds at most. "Safe" fast pedaling can be done about 19-20 and steady cadence around 17 or so. Upon inquiry, Hovsco told me the frame would allow for up to a 48T chainring without hitting it. With this vid I definitely want to change the freewheel to the one he changed to except I saw it had two choices to buy on his amazon link, one with all the same sprocket sizes as his and the other all the same too except they swapped out the largest sprocket for a 34t. I was thinking getting it in case I had to pedal home a dead bike. I would also like to change the chainring too. Do you know what type to get? The bolt patterns and all that just throw me for some reason and it seems one has to know some exotic bike language or something to understand the people selling the parts to know what the best brands are, what bolt patterns tools and measurements I need, etc etc. There seems to be dozens of different proprietary mounting methods.
      Also, would I need a longer chain? Would you know how much longer it would have to be?
      Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

    How do i fix this?..
    I already have a specialized DS Mtb with 135mm dropouts and bought a 2000w R. Hub kit with 135mm dropouts and all fits perfect..But
    BUT i had to remove the entire cassette
    (and chain and derailer)
    otherwise wheel won't fit. The cassette splined shaft measures 37mm wide and its only 32 mm from the hub to the chainstay. I haven't riden or messed w bikes in decades idk

    You may have to get into system mode to unlock the full speed, usually hold up and down for a few seconds to get into the menu, from there they all have different options, nice bike, that color looks like a burnt orange or red/orange

    Nice demonstration. Is the effect the same on a bike with a cadence sensor? I see Lectric made some great changes to the XP 3.0 and I hope you can review the new controller.

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  Před 10 měsíci

      Yes and the 3.0 now comes with the 11-28 freewheel already installed! I’ve already reviewed it, but it had the old controller in it, which I actually like better because you have full power in any PAS level but the new controller will make it a little smoother. If you want to see how the new controller works, you could check out my Lectric cargo bike review.

    Also, you should be able to go bigger on that chainring. even if you have to not use the rear chain guard.

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  Před 7 měsíci +1

      You really can’t on this bike because it will affect the folding latch and will hit the rear frame if it’s too much bigger.
