USED LINK. THANKS MY FRIEND. (Kickback GIVEN) LOL
This is the only way my 3D Rundown survives. Thanks so much
@@3DRundown trust me I understand. Can't wait to try out the dryer. Have 2 Sunlu's that do an okay job want to see how this 360 degrees of heating works out.
Creality has a double spool one on their VIP site.
Yes! Looks super cool. But it's kinda big. All these multi-dryers are kinda huge. But I want one, of course. 😜 I've never been able to login to the vip site. I finally got an account to work about a week ago. Now I gotta remember to use it
A good informative review. Loved the outtakes. 🤣😂
Thanks for being one of the few that make it to them! That's for you. 🔥🔥
Great job on the video, a lot of effort on detail and a lot of good information. Just great hearing from a real person! Thank you so much for posting. I think I'll get a few of these.
Welcome. So far, I like it. Printing direct to my CR6-Max without issue
Sold me on the unit - thank you for the very detailed video.
I've been happy with mine. I toss a Desiccant bag in the spool hole
Great stuff buddy, looks good. Still waiting for mine :)
Looks like a great product
It's pretty darn awesome. Creality has upped their game immensely this past year. I will 1000% be using this on one of my larger printers.
Do you have the problem that the Bowden tube keep getting pull into the the space pi when printing? Can’t seem to figure out why mine is doing that. Thanks!
Simple: Don't use the bowden. No need. 🎯
Please tell me what is the distance between the bearings. I can't find information on what maximum width the coil will fit.
77mm
Is there a 2 spool version of this dryer?
Yes
Hi and thanks for the review! It made me buy the dryer. :)
However, I noticed it suffers from similar issue as Sunlu S2. It does not vent the humid air outside. I placed a thermometer inside and monitored the humidity on a time scale. Without opening the lid the relative humidity will slowly increase and not get released (obviously, as the box is sealed), so the drying process will probably not be efficient. There are oter videos on CZcams showing the issue...
To fix this, I made a small air vent spacer (search "Creality Space Pi - Air Vent Gap Spacer " on Printables), which could be attached on the dryer case, so that the humidity is continuously released.
This fixes the issue, but obviously would be nice if the dryer does not have this issue in the first place...
I'll totally check that out! I've spoke to creality about it
Decent that you show how loud are fans , cheers 🍕🍻
They are a bit loud, but, they also crush the fans on the EIbos and S2. So, at the moment, it's a trade off, as the Creality air flow is best by a large margine.
Do I need to use the filament dryer tube ?
Can go right out the hole. Or, can cut a small piece of tube, to make your life easier
hands down best product creality ever made I have the 2 spool model. 😂😂😂
Does this thing have a moist are outlet?
Very small hole. I would just toss a Dess pack in there. We are only dealing with the smallest amounts of moisture anyways
First, this video deserves a hell of a lot more likes!!!
I've seen some other videos on this unit, because I was trying to decide to buy one or not.
I can build one, sure, but I'm pretty much a lazy Fk who has enough projects on the go. LOL
In vids that I've seen, there are 2 things that give me great pause.
One of them, is because I'm an electronics guy (for decades) and I design "gadgets". I use Nextion touch displays because they are solid.
What I'm noticing on all these videos, yours included, is that the display on this box is really bad. Not in how it looks, but in the fact that the touch sensor layer is right on top of the LCD layer itself! So when you touch it, the finger is crushing the liquid crystals, as seen by the area going black the fading back on again. After a while, this does destroy the crystals. What they should have used are screens that have the touch layer on top, below that a solid plastic shield, then below that, the actual LCD element.
The Nextion displays do that. This way, when you touch the screen, it doesn't affect the actual LCD element.
Many televisions and computer displays also do not have that protection over the LCD portion. Many people have destroyed their TVs and displays when moving them around because they grab it in such a way as the fingers dig into the screen, crushing the crystals. Yikes!
So that's the one issue. The second issue, and perhaps you can let me know your opinion, is that there doesn't seem to be any venting to the outside world.
In one vid I saw, the guy was showing how, with putting a little tiny cup with a little bit of water in it, inside this box and letting it run over night, didn't remove the water and the humidity stayed the same.
But he then propped open the lid a tiny bit and then the humidity could escape.
Just having the humidity circulate around and around inside this sealed box, doesn't seem logical. Especially when, like you say, there's no compartment for desiccant.
Perhaps in their next version they'll add those 2 things.... desiccant area and venting to the outside world.
So in reality, how are you finding this works if you put in a spool of filament that is loaded with humidity?
And with that question, I would ask, what is the ambient humidity in the room?
I can see this not removing humidity if the ambient humidity is high.
Any comment or idea would be very much appreciated.
As for design, I too really love this design. Physically, it's a beautiful piece.
Thanks in advance.
Great Novel. Can't wait for the Sequel! :P
YES. You are correct on the screen.
YES. You are correct on the fan. I don't know why all the major Dryer companies continue to get this wrong.
I emailed Creality on the Fan topic, and their engineers are taking that into consideration.
The reality is, the moisture in a wet roll of filament is a fraction of what even the smallest cup of water would have. Tossing a Desiccant pack in the unit, would deal with the moisture just fine. Their 2 spool unit has a spot for that. Their one spool does not, but, you could just toss it in the hole of the spool.
@@3DRundownSigh.... yeah... sorry.... brevity is not my strong point.
😆😆 No worries, I literally own a jacket, custom made for me, by my Dad, that says "MOUTH" on it....
you can easily print a base for the Sunlu and the stability will be fixed.... I still prefer the Sunlu, don't like the single heating element fo the Creality and the extra fans to compensate that are making more noise...
I have bases, but don't really like any of them. I've found the Pi to be quiet while loaded and in use. I am liking it allot.
Are you having issues where the humidity sensors is dropping to 15%?
I haven't used this one much yet. As I get closer to Summer, and Halloween, I'll be using it everyday, as it's currently on my CR6-MAX. A machine I use for larger props, that I don't get many orders on, during Winter. But I hope to get one for my 5+ as well. 15% sounds good. Do you think the 15% is not accurate?
@@3DRundownczcams.com/video/vnaJ5KTAixM/video.html&ab_channel=SkullyN-thusiast
I just turned mine on, and started it. The Meter went to 15%. Very interesting. I don't think it really matters, as the machine isn't going to turn on and off, based on the reading. The Eibos and S2 certainly don't either, but, it does seam like the reading is not working. I will record the behavior and reach out to the engineers at Creality
@@3DRundown Creality got back to me and they said something wrong with it. I ran mine for 30-40 minuets and I had no change in humidity. This is something crucial for places that have different humidity because different locations need more or less time to dry. if moisture is the one biggest culprit of failed prints we need to have proper knowledge of how much humidity/moisture is left saturated in the filament.
@@3DRundown it matters to know how much humidity the filament has left before its at proper saturation. differnt states, locations, house humidity will matter and drying times will vary so having a proper working humidity sensor is crucial.
I don't find the fan that loud, unless you run it in the bedroom while sleeping. But who does that?
When loaded and closed, it really isn't that loud.
The only negative about the Creality dryer. Is no vent holes. So I drilled two 3/64 holes in the lid near the handle to let out the moisture. Then it dries real good
I would toss a Desiccant pack in the spool hole. The 2 Spool model has a compartment for that
@@3DRundown Desiccant packs do not absorb moisture when they are hot, so that would accomplish nothing. The purpose of desiccant packs in a filament dryer is to 1. recharge the desiccant and 2. keep the filament dry when the dryer has finished its cycle.
These filament dryers are terribly designed by companies that don't understand basic physics. The best solution is to buy a food dehydrator because monkeys figured out how to make those work around 4,000 years ago. Then keep your filament in a un-powered drybox while using it..
but how the moisture escapes the dryer?
Only a small vent hole. You can add a desiccant pack, which is what I do, for all my dryers.
I didn't realize they require them to be warmed, that's one cool looking filament chamber ^^ the design is futuristic
The filament doesn't need to be warm, but, the filament can absorb moisture, and become "wet", which will produce poor results. These machines will remove the moisture from the filament. Some people print from them, when doing long prints, to avoid moisture during the print
Hope this helps someone... It sounds loud because his microphone is making it loud. I just got mine, a plus, or the two roll version, while it does get louder, it's not unpleasant, once you close the lid, I hardly hear it. Very quiet.
I agree. I don't find it very loud, while loaded and closed.

have you tried it to reach 70C?
I have not. I've only used PLA defaults, because that is what I'm printing on it.
@@3DRundowndo you mind to test it please?
I will try. I'm a one man show, and it's really hard to fit in all the things I'd love to do.
@@3DRundownI bought it and yes it reaches 70C, I like it better than sunlu s2, thanks for your video
@@Mr_XXX513 thx
why are these industrial designs so unwieldy? can't someone make a sliding cover with gaskets so that it doesn't require an extra 18 in clearance to open the thing? lol
China get's fixated on a design. It's a round robin of imitation, till somebody finally innovates something, and the cycle starts again. However, this is easily the best affordable dryer out there right now. Better than I expected by a large margine
I'm not going to lie, I want this model becuase it looks sick next to my K1 lol
It's very cool looking. Creality design has improved astronomically this past year
Aaaand is allways on 15% humidity :)
After a few days, mine started reading properly. No idea why. Lemme know if yours does
The fan is loud...
Somewhat
OMG, that fan! Mine arrives tomorow and and I'm not even going to open the box. Instant return.
Your loss. It's awesome. I'm getting 2 more
Thank you @@3DRundown, if my loss is a fan that loud then it's not really a loss. I wanted to love it though.
You didn't want to love it enough, if not willing to even try it. I haven't noticed the fan at all. My Resin printers, and P1's,
are much louder. It's far better than the other options, such as the EIBOS, FIXDRY, or S2. Give it a go
Small fans, like what's in this box, are "loud" by comparison to larger fans.
It's all about the air flow required.
I large fan, with large blades can spin slower to obtain a good airflow.
A small fan has to be cranked up to push enough air for the job.
If you think this is loud, you'd scream at the heat break duct that I had to design for my crappy Wanhua Duplicator 9 MK2 400 printer. The tiny fan they originally had was quiet, because it wasn't pushing so much air. Not enough to stop heat creep.
I had to use a tiny, but powerful mini server fan. I had to put a buck converter on it with a potentiometer, because at 12V full power, the thing sounds like a jet engine. LOL
You should hear what a server room sounds like with a bunch of these special fans running. LOL
Good point and well made @@BlondieSL thank you. :)
This thing it's noisy 😢
Not much when loaded and closed
Great reviews with a sense of humor. The only thing I would recommend is to buy scissors and trim your fingernails. Believe me it will be better)))
No thanks. I am a maker first, and short nails make my work much more difficult. If you don't like my appearance, feel free to leave.
