That was way fun, way cool, short circuit is such a great movie.
Haha too cool the Short Circuit house is still there!
I think one of those 80's coins could have been dropped by the cast or crew. As they could have been carrying a coin from before the filming date. What a cool place to detect and the finds are great! Happy Hunting!
The thing you found at 16:10 could be carpenter trousers shoulder strap from 1950-80 that all kids used :)
So nice looking house and area around, looks like you had a good day there
GG with the Barber, great find!
This was really cool! Love to see some detecting in other “famous” sites. 💪👍👍
That clip you found reminds me of a smaller version of the canteen belts that we used to carry in the military. Also similar design was on the belts of the Class A's. Keep digging Shane!

You're the ultimate adventurer imo! I couldn't click on this fast enough. I loved seeing
the house and I can't wait until you go back. I really thought more would come out of
that place. Thanks, Klesh! I don't watch the pay dirt ones, anymore. This was so
interesting and fun to watch. Be well and keep that adventure spirit alive. 🤗🤗🥰🥰
Wow!! This is so 🆒. 80’s kid here, and I totally enjoyed this video. Nice finds also ❤.
What a great place to make a metal detector
video. People used to burn trash and that corner of the lot looks like that’s the area they had their trashcan sitting which is
Far enough away from the house. Trash is trash.
"Hey laser lips yourrr mama was a snowblower!"
Your daddy was a pop machine...
One of my favorite lines of all time. Me and my mom use to say that to each other all the time. It was like a little inside joke between the two us.
So cool! 80's child here :D awesome finds. Maybe I will see the coins displayed when I go there!
Love that you came to my state...love short circuit...love your excitement...thank you for sharing and I am getting my metal detector out!!
Nice hunt. Cool finds and site. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber.
That was really cool. I hope this can become a series.
Your channel is everything I love! I’m binging right now and loving it!!
This place was good for searching for treasures.
This movie house is also a treasure with its magnificent setting.
Well done, Shane 👍🤠
That was a great movie! Cool finds too!
“I had a wheat back bout a week back!” Great video!
Cool vid Bro. Glad you hit one of your bucket list items. Thx for the vid Klesh
Another great video. Love the diversity of your content.
VERY interesting and different show, Shane. Thanks!!
I am a metal detectorist and I enjoyed the video
Yes!!! Thanks for the detect video
Thanks for the "input " 😊
The Canadian penny that you found is marking the Queen's Jubilee 50 years of rein
Great finds 👍🏼
Great vid!
wicked cool video. thank you
Love the longer videos! Epic treasure hunt. Makes me want to go try to get a permission.
Shane, congratulations on the Barber Dime and the Wheaties!!! Great Finds all around!! Always enjoy your videos and hope you have a chance to get out and do some more detecting videos!! Thanks and Stay Safe!
What a fun video! Lots of good finds!
fishing net weight,, haha, you got me
Another great hunt ✌🏼
Hopefully there are more famous places you can detect in the future! Thanks for taking us along man
Cool finds! 27:46 That's an Asthma Puffer, if its blue/Grey in colour it's Ventalin.
The clip looks like an old money clip like the one my grandfather used to have. Sometimes he would take it off his money and let me play with it when I was Young
That is fun, i love your videos.
Please if you go detecting please remember to fill your holes and take the trash with you .i know Klesh dose this with the most respect to the land and the owner of the property .
Awesome barber dime and antique 1800's vape
This is awesome. Short circuit is such a cool film. Will defo check the other video. Innnput 😂😂
Congrats on an awesome haul!
Klesh! Such awesome finds. Soo many wheat pennies and also that barber! Very cool man
Awesome!
Nice finds!
That's awesome! I loved that movie growing up!
Wow Shane, you must be living right 😂
I'm only in as far as the sixties steps and I'm already excited.
Fishing weight is from the lead line of a set net.
Very nice haul 👍
Nice barber dime! The broken disk thing with writing looks like a 2 piece button, missing the shank. And sweet location! Love the videos
That totally could be a button thanks !
OK... Going over to the other Channel now.. I wouldn't say I am a a Johnny #5 nerd, but it was a cool movie, in its day
WOW! I only watched Short Circuit like three days ago, first time I watched since the movie came out when I was a kid! Awesome Shane 👍
Cool place and nice finds brother! I use to always watch that movie when I was a kid.. awesome video
Gotta love virgin ground... Great finds, Shane
I loved that movie.
you found a pot seal to plug holes in the cooking pots back in the hey day
Wow Shane, always drove past that house when visiting Astoria. Cool to see you in an area I know
I loved that movie. Wouldn’t it be cool if you found a bit of Johnny 5 😂
At 15:50, that looks a lot like part of my belt buckle in the Army. On the other hand, it could be a backpack strap also. Definitely looks military.
i live 2 hours away and ive never been to the house before. what cool place to be
Astoria is such a cool little town. Goonies, short circuit, and Kindergarten cop were filmed there... And that's just the ones I know about. Lol. Anyway, I think it's really neat how someone bought the Goonies house and is letting people come up and see it unlike the previous owners. And that the owner of this house is letting people come and stay there as an Airbnb. It's great to know that there's tangible movie history that close to me. I'm in Vancouver, WA, which is right over the Columbia from Portland, and a short drive from Astoria.
So I did some research and besides Goonies, Short Circuit, and Kindergarten Cop... Into the Wild, Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles 3, both of the Free Willy movies, The Ring Two, The Guardian, Greenroom, Worth, and many many more have been filmed in Astoria as well. That's amazing. Never knew there were so many films there.
Some really nice finds Shane. I am guessing you were up here to visit the Cape and get some black sand.
Nice barber shane!
I tried looking for old bottles behind that house back in the early 90s. I never did find the outhouse. The old maps showed a much smaller house located there.
Your mystery item vaguely resembles a corroded out button cell battery. Without touching it and only seeing it through the TV, that would be my guess.
For some reason I needed to watch.......great name lol and spelt correct lol
Thinking maybe a clip for suspenders ?
Heck yea! That's cool!
Awesome movie.
So close to the Goonie's House TOO! It's on the other side of town.
I’ve seen The Goonies house but didn’t know this house was in Astoria too. Any chance One Eye Willy lost some rich stuff that hasn’t been found?
Lol, wouldn't that be nice. There were actually a bunch of movies that I'm sure you've heard of that were filmed in Astoria... So besides Goonies and Short Circuit, Kindergarten Cop, Into the Wild, Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles 3, both of the Free Willy movies, The Ring Two, The Guardian, Greenroom, Worth, and many many more have also been filmed in Astoria as well. It's crazy... I was born and raised in Oregon and even I'm surprised to see some of these on this list.
I Loved that Movie
Nice
Congrats buddy nice silver 😊
Congrats on the Barbie and IHP!!!
i just found my garrett pro pinponter it good
and great video ;)
The clip reminds me of a suspenders adjustment clip.
NEEEEED INPUT!
That was awesome!!! Silver?! Really?! Omg. Treasure hunters wet dream
Love indian head cents!
That round thing that you can't identify is most likely a button cell battery!
I love this type of video 👏👌
I love collecting coins and metal detecting and for the life of me I have never found a wheat back penny. I found gold and silver rings and jewelry but never an old coin. And then you find all of these especially in such a historic site, jealous
That piece you said reminded you of military. Looks like part of the belt buckles we had in the Army in the early 80s. It clamped on the dead end of the belt so they were all one size fits all.
Yeah it does look like those
Awesome Shane! Thank you for taking us back to memory lane. Stellar metal detecting finding those awesome items.
That barber dime is worth like 5 to 20$ dollars
Nice finds. I had the same jagged clips on my belts and suspenders in the early 80s. Not sure what they are called.
Man Shane I know right where you are I lived in Astoria for around 5 years off and on seen all the movie houses and even some other less known stuff but maybe next time you are out that way you might wanna detect out at the falls in the back country out past lewis and clark
A tie clip or a hat clip 🤔 like those military hats with the emblem on it
I liked that movie way back then. Number 5 is Alive
Great finds! Detecting is such a great mental release. Keep the great videos coming
Number 5 is alive!
23:18 kinda looks like a metal heel protector for boots.
Although you couldn’t search the site across the street, you did detect “sour grapes”. This video is great, like usual.
Cast net weight or a seam weight at 24:00
I was already thinking that this has been your most successful metal detecting video and then you found that dime! I love your content - gold panning, hiking, touring, geocaching, etc. Almost makes me want to get off the couch.
I loved that movie as a kid, thought tell me have ypu been to the free willy house yet ?
A 1907 S Barber Dime in that condition is worth no more than 10 dollars.
Lead weight looks like a net weight
You went to Astoria OR - did you also get to the Goonies house? It's up there too.
Definitely yes I always walk up to the Goonies house every time I visit (about 3 times a year), but the Short Circuit house doesn't get the recognition nearly as much, so decided to give it a little bit of ♥
Looks like an old suspender buckle.
I’ve heard stories about Johnny 5 being a raging alcoholic and an absolute bare to work with. he’d constantly be getting drunk during film shoots and would throw his beaver tail pull tabs all over the ground! 😂
The ruck sack thing was a clip for suspenders that hold up your pants imo
