More of a documentary than a drama, a 'docu-drama' if you will, 'The F.J. Holden' movie delivers up Bankstown, NSW, Australia, as it really was for us local rev-heads in the late 1970s. - Zábava
Great Movie. Stretham Ave is the name of the street that he drives out of and turns left into Kennedy St. I lived two streets up from Stretham Ave in Prince St. I was 15 back then and I remember when they were filming some of the scenes. Loved watching how Bankstown use to look . Takes me back....
Wonderful old Panania, 1977
They were the days
Today is not even close to how good it was back then
Christ ( no PC here)I miss those days and the Australia I knew and grew up in
What's the P for on the hood? Just curious.
@@237g probationary licence
@@victorpetroff830 Oh, actually not a bad idea.
@@237g provisional license
@@the_eminent_Joshua_E_Hrouda He's never going pass his drivers test driving on the wrong side of the road. 😁
Wow, had the same canary yellow FJ in 68. 150 bucks on Parramatta Rd.
Wow, they had P Plates back in the 70s. That was actually quite surprising to me since they have only been compulsory in Queensland for a couple of years..
Other than that, an absolutely beautiful car. I was lucky enough to ride in one yesterday.
P plates back in the late sixties,in NSW,just sayin.
Those grey motors were fast. Not much kw for a six, but plenty of that other key ingredient good torque curve!
cheers davecologon, that would of been fasinating to watch that been made. thanks Gezza
So true IanTC12, its a great window to the past! cheers Gezza
Have this movie on dvd
driving up Restwell St.
I wonder where they are now .
Forget the FJ - I'll have the Charger R/T in the background of the carpark scene.
Mercury silver........kidney beans
Haha. I'd rather have the FJ
@@Jo_Wardy I'll take both, sell them and buy a Trans Am
@@nickypoundtown9568 haha I'd take the FJ because 50s cars are better and the FJ us the coolest car ever in Australia and I'd take the Valiant VC in the first scene because valiants are best Aussie car ever. Other then those two old cars I'd choose a modern VY SS or something.
1:15 Is that Orange kombi Infront Of the church?
The house at the start - where is this filmed ??
Its on the corner of Ashby Ave and Charlton St Yagoona. The house was demolished in 2015, and replaced by a 2-storey house. Most of the neighbouring houses in this scene have also been demolished and rebuilt.
Movie " fj holden" starred " carl stever " meet him in gokart racing " he had accident on work got " huge compensation payout " nice guy lol " he said my arse in movie also 😆 lol !"
And would anyone happen to know the song at the end where the cops and kevs parents are out the front???
Anyone know streets are those houses on in the beginning?
did they have magnetic P plates back in 77?
Maybe, but more likely plastic
What’s the movie called
FJ Holden
The FJ Holden to be exact
does anyone know kevins address please answer???
no, but my friend worked with Kevin at CBC bearings, Auburn in 1978. My friend, who is 10 years older than me, says he remembers Kevin coming into the office and saying to everyone 'hey! I'm gonna be in a movie!''. But I never met Kevin myself.
Man could you please ask your mate to ask kevin the address if he still talks to him?
I'll try for you yeah. None of my business but I'm interested why you want his address? Do you know him?
thanks man, no i want to know his address that is in the movie not his actual address i think it would be intresting to see what the house looks like now whether it is still there or not
and do you know what ever happen to the fj and the panel van eh after the movie?
great video the music is crap!!!
Perhaps or perhaps some people prefer crap music 🤗
