I really like the plain common sense instructions for quilting and sewing ideas. This lovely lady does not push a lot of extra feet, rulers, gadgets, but rather the good old fashioned common sense way of doing things presented in a very easy to follow way. Two thumbs up!

I am new to sewing at 44 years of age too! This bag, made bigger for my Husband to have his own tote grocery bag rather than pinching mine, is only the second thing I've ever made. I am soo happy with how it turned out, THANK YOU for your easy to follow tutorial. great tip about the baby powder!

Going to get some fabric to make little lunch bags for friends, as Xmas gifts. Love the tutorial especially the hints for working with coated fabric - I've now ordered a teflon foot!

Thank you for the fun little bag and zippered case tutorial. I love these two items. I have not worked with this product, but have some to make a bag, now I must try it. Another wonderful tutorial.

Hi, thanks for watching. I just use a regular needle and thread. The needle may get blunted after sewing through the PVC coating so a new needle would be a good idea.

Love this tutorial. Can’t wait to try it out. You could use quilters clips when making the handles instead of using pins. Jane 🐝🐝

it is certainly a great bag to carry to the candy store. UMM did someone say chocolate? I like this for my 3 yr old grand she can carry all her stuff out doors and then her Mommy can wipe it down. Love it.

You can stick scotch tape to the bottom of the foot instead of using a teflon one. No need for the powder then either. :)

I'm having a bit of job with the fabric, it sticks together when you place the back and front together, and then causes a bulge in the bag once sewn. Once I overcome this hitch, I'm thinking about upsizing the pattern to make a bigger shopping bag as its a nice little pattern. Would you suggest upsizing the pattern say, 2.5 times? I'm a beginner so I haven't really a clue.

Clover Wonder Clips work well to hold everything until you sew it.

I made one recycled jean bag for groceries (they don't give us bags at the grocery store anymore). I was just testing out strength and usability before I make a bunch of them. Because chicken and meats can leak into the jean bag I thought of making them with oil cloth or pvc coated fabric. Which fabric is the strongest that recommend to hold about 15 pounds of food?
