Charlie Porter is my favorite trumpet player. Lucky for me, I found him at about the same time that I discovered Monette instruments. I have described his sound as "Liquid gold poured down from heaven". What more can I say?
Man, I was lucky to perform along side you during the Florida All-STATE JAZZ band back in 1996! Wynton came out and worked with us and the band, he was there demonstrating the Vivace system, and I think you asked him a question about his chops, and he said, “I eat a lot of…”. 😆
