My longest fast was 48 hours. I did OK and probably could have gone longer. I do a lot of intermittent fasting and I can easily make it to 20 hours. In the past, my readings, during fasting were really good. These days, I'm scared to even take them. Completing a 60 hour fast is quite an achievement! Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Thanks for doing these kinds of videos, but I'm thinking as you were complaining yesterday that you didn't actually get into a deep ketosis is because of these pruvit supplements. Because bone broth has protein in it, it breaks a fast, so I wouldn't say that this was a true 60-hour fast, but it also depends on what you're fasting for. If for weight loss, like you achieved, then, sure, these supplements would be fine, but not if you're trying to achieve autophagy, which you don't need a pill to do. Your body can detox and clean up its old cells all on its own. I'm definitely a fan of extended fasts from time to time, which I think you should try again without the supplements to see if you get into deeper levels of ketosis and bring your blood glucose down more, and then you can have a true comparison and understanding of what is helping or hurting your journey. Great video. Love the channel!

Good for you for making it through the 60 hrs.👍🏾 After 5 years being keto, I still can't bring myself to do an extended fast, just because of the mental stress of it for me. Maybe one day... I would really miss my morning coffee!🙁🤣
Some people say that a black coffee won't completely break your fast if you've done it long enough. Good idea would be to test before and after!
Kudos to you for being able to do this. I don't think I could go that long without eating real food again. Did it once while in the military and then several years ago when my mouth was wired shut for 7 weeks. :/

I loved the 60 hour Keto Reboot Fast. I also used daily water enemas during the fast. WOW...What a difference.
When you've been fat- adapted a while, don't worry if your body is no longer making as many ketones. It is actually a hint that you're doing well! Inflammation down even another example! If you're about to work out, good time to drink some ketones, just to help with repair. But again, do not worry that you're not making many ketones. You've done everything right.
Oh, even the blood sugar is okay. That comes sometimes with fasting. I can't explain it well, but your body depletes itself of glucose, then your LIVER dumps it! So again you did it all perfectly.
Good for you, I’m doing this next week and I’m nervous to make the 60 hours. A couple questions, did you work out at all during the 60 hours? And what time did you stop eating before you started? And when did you eat after breaking the fast with the final protein shake?
Just hit the 60hr mark so far down 6+ pounds, feeling great!
I hate the salted Carmel, I had to choke that down, but Heart Tart is my favorite.
The only fast like that that I have done was this past February when Houston had their big ice storm and lost power and water for a week. That meant you couldn’t flush the toilet etc. so I figured if I didn’t eat or drink anything I wouldn’t have to flush the toilet. I made it through and just portioned out my water to drink for four days until a neighbor of mine brought some bottled water over. But I did refrain from eating for those same for days. You couldn’t cook anything without power. So all I had was A little cheese and almonds after the four days. I did lose 11 pounds that week.
Has anyone mentioned caffiene withdrawls causing the irritability?

I have done the IF 16/8 with the pruvit ketones and found myself getting hungry like an hour to hour n half before I could eat. Why?
Wow - that's great loss--- I usually can not do an intermittent fast because something triggers in my brain and when I do finally et- I over eat- I have never tried the one you just did where you do not et t all only drink the products-- maybe I won't have my usual issues--- just thinking- but great loss
I wonder if your diabetic... with your numbers being that high but normal while fasting, maybe your glaucous is spiking and that can keep your ketones lower. Maybe... Food for thought.

Wait I may be wrong but bone broth breaks your fast .. so this isn't a true 60 hr fast per say ... research deeper in Autophagy

@@JourneytoHealthy no this was a very good video I just thought to say this because I know even taking certain vitamins and supplements breaks a fast as well but if this was for weight loss then yes you definitely achieved a goal love your channel ❤️
There is a lot of controversy on what truly breaks a fast and even on autophagy Jason Fung is who is who I follow allows bone broth. His opinion is if it doesn't spike insulin it doesn't break a fast. Since everyone is different you would have to test to be sure.
Cashew milk is not your friend. It is not keto-friendly. Also, it will get into a state of ketosis if you do more IM and OMAD - it takes time when your body is used to being a sugar/carb addict. But products aren't the answer. Actual steak and salted healthy butter will do more for you than anything. You got this!
