- We got our 6 for $18 scooters running in the last episode of CarsandCameras, so now its time to race! In this backyard tow lot special scooter race, we're doing a there-and-back drag race while chugging root beer, and doing a 4 lap endurance race with a twist! All of our scooters are GY6 based, John's is a 49cc GY6, while Charles and Ike have much larger engines (still GY6 based).

I had a fast one like Ikes...a Tao Tao VIP 50cc with a Kymco Powermax 150cc 4 stroke. Dumped it at 80 mph into a corn field.I havent ridden since. Get well soon Charles

I love the moped shenanigans. I'm currently building a moped trike with a 125cc Lifan pitbike engine. it was all free.
Just spent the whole weekend going thru the C and C video catalog and caught up on quite a bit! Use to do circle wheelies on a 1984 Honda spree . Homemade wheelie bar, stunt pegs, ram bumper, sliders, welded clutch push start , cruise control throttle, mountain bike horns, no plastics, So much fun

The editing and timing of the humor during the first few minutes of this had me laughing my ass off. Then the presumably warm Root-Beer, and all the burps. Just classic. More and more like your good old Top Gear guys. Now, I don't want to see you guys doing this stuff without proper safety gear. It's pretty important, and you could do all this with far less risk. Great episode, and definitely would like to see more "challenge" videos like this.

Nope, root beer being warm is easier to chug than cold root beer. (The lower temperature keeps the carbonation [which can make a drink hard to chug] longer.)

Damn, tough to see Charles in the dumps like that. Also amazed that John didn't blow out a collar bone. Gear may not need to be a requirement for all drivers/riders, but it should always be available and an option to those who feel that they need it.
