I think you are, with all respect, misunderstanding the British sense of humour, which has taunting and teasing as a sign of chemistry and affection. Despite the age gap these two have become firm friends, as you will see in their interviews, which are hilarious and uplifting, as are their BTS clips.

"Black" with sarcasm and self-irony. If it goes against the "neighbor", the other factors decide. In Nick's eyes you can see the bottom of his soul. He can't lie, even if he wanted to. If you are this worried, please try to follow up with his interviews to better understand his humor and let your bias of him fall off.
