Odyssey of the Dragonborn - Gambling Dice

quick demo of the gambling dice mechanic. grab a die, drop it where you want and watch the system calculate based on model orientation which face is showing. Going to be used in Act 1 for a tavern game. Look at the top left for the math.

Hey thanks :) yeah it took a lot of thought and calculating to figure out how to detect which side of a cube is facing up lol. It's not 100% flawless and sometimes will fail on a die now and then, but overall it's pretty sharp and clean.

lol yeah, things aren't fully pathed in there yet, so NPC's are doing some REALLY funny things. Some of the direnni guards at Adamantia are standing on the walls horizontally sometimes lol

Awesome man. Is there gonna be some sort of mini-game with these? I spent hours playing playing Farkle in Kingdome Come: Deliverance...I think I have a thing for dice games within video games haha

Yep it's called "trivium" you and your opponent roll 3 dice each bet who will have higher combined roll after a second roll and winner take all. NPC has basic betting logic based on probability of their win. Its fairly slick.
