- This week I painted lots of roses, which are so hard to do but I love so much. I painted a white rose earlier in the week, and also this painting that I share here, which has many roses. I painted both of these under the teachings of the amazing artist that is Jared Brady. He is so good at painting alla prima and keeping everything loose. I also love the subject matter that he chooses to paint, which is often beautiful flowers! I painted on my sketchbook, and used water-mixable oil paints. I hope you guys like it, so let me know what you think!

Wow dude you’re just such an inspiration. You’re so diligent with your creations! I would like to work on being able to mix the colors I need for my references. It takes so so long to try and match the right colors but I keep on failing and end up going on a hiatus.

I watched this video a lot and practiced matching random colors. I used to go on hiatus a lot, months at a time. Don't give up!! It's part of the process. I hope this helps 😊

I looove this! That yellow / gold flower really makes it sparkle. Was it from reference photo? I definitely think you should do one on a canvas for your wall. Yes, would love to see video with comparison after initial instructional as well. I love that you do real time paint brush strokes it’s kind of like ASMR for me, haha! Happy Painting. 🎨
