Festool DOMINO DF 500 three different setting tenon hole width

A short video on the effect of adjusting the width knob for three different width settings. A 5 mm drill bit and a 5 x 30 mm dowel pin are used.

I really like my DF500 but I wish it had a slot width setting between the first and second, just a hair looser than standard.

I too thought it should be more finely graded but through practice I have found it to be ok. In most cases I just put the first pin from the edge on the close and the others on the second step.
