The organizations approach to handling the pitching staff has been atrocious for years. Throw pitch counts out the window and let pitchers pitch. Let managers manage with their guts , and not by committee .

Sal forget that the only way they can trade someone like Diaz on a big contract is if he is on top of his game or if they pay down his contract. If they pay down his contract they might as well keep him. And if he at the top of his game, why would you trade him?

Mendy has made some very questionable bullpen decisions the last 2 games, and he’s been wrong each time.
I agree, on this roadtrip alone he's taken out a pitcher after they had gotten the first two outs in the inning only to have the bullpen give up 5 runs after two were already out. He took Ottavino out and brought in Diekman against the Nationals and today he did it again and blew up the game with 5 runs after the first two were out. If the pitcher gets the first two outs, let them at least try to finish the inning, specially since they don't have much in the bullpen they can trust.
So our .500 team goes on a road trip and plays .500 ball against two other .500 teams? Would you prefer to go back to April?

I’ve been hearing people second guess Mets managers for years. It gets old. What kills me is that when the pitcher who comes in , pitches a clean inning, the manager never , ever gets credit.How about the pen actually do their job and get out of the inning with two out and nobody on? Plus, it really bothers me coming from this guy, who is the biggest clown/ flip flopped at the station.
