Cashman is more to blame for this horribly flawed roster, but lazy errors, low IQ plays, and bad baserunning are on the manager. The fact that the Yankees haven’t stolen a base in 20 games with the current rules is absurd.

It’s 30% Boone, 30% Cashman for getting the wrong players, and 40% on the players. At this level they should have a PhD in baserunning, situational baseball, fundamentals and professional pride to hustle.

You mean the same roster that got off to that great start? Boone needs to go IMO. Cashman is not my first choice he can go too. But I think the roster is good enough to maintain until Stanton and Rizzo get back. They just seem to have no sense of urgency.

Boone's poor in-game decision have probably cost the Yankees 4-6 games this season. But Virtually all the roster questions entering the season, have come back negative, Rizzo, even prior to the fracture, wasn't hitting or fielding well, DJ hasn't hit the ball well in three years, Holmes is not now and never will be a bonafide closer. Torres has had a horrible season offensive and defensively. Not a single productive bat off the bench all season, that is unacceptable. Grisham has not worked out, trade him. Good fielding, no hit center-fielders are a dime a dozen. How is Jones on this roster.

They’ve done this before….they’ll be the best team in baseball for 60- 70 games then completely crater. In the aggregate they’re basically a mediocre team over the last few years yet they vacillate between crazy extremes. They have 2 amazing hitters, a third always hurt power bat, and nothing beyond that. Pitching has been erratic, especially without Cole as a stabilizing force. They’re a good team when fully healthy but they’re very top heavy and too many players in important positions are wildly inconsistent. Holmes is great or terrific, Gil is Koufax or a single A pitcher, Stanton is hitting bombs or hurt, Volpe is an excellent young SS or a lazy disaster, Gleyber is Gleyber, DJ is totally shot, Rizzo is cooked…..what happens if Soto leaves and Judge starts to regress within a couple years?

Did I expect such a steep fall from grace? No… but I dont expect them to be this bad the rest of the way either. There’s always lulls and hot streaks in a 162 game season. I’m confident Yankees are a playoff team as long as Soto, Judge and the starters stay healthy but even when they were firing on all cylinders I didn’t fully buy in, the second half of the lineup has been atrocious the whole season and the bullpen was always going to be an issue at some point without some in season moves to improve it. My point with BT and Sal is when the Yankees get even semi hot again BT is going to scream and yell and defiantly claim they’re back and Sal will argue with him and around and around we go. Judge is still good and should give a good return but the other guys are WASHED UP and are a salary dump. Get the most you can in YOUNG PLAYERS 3. Trade Cole, Cortez, and Rodon... they are old and washed up. Get the most that you can in young pitchers in return. 3. Trade Torrez for whatever you can get. Fill all holes with players from AAA that would include Jason Dominguez and Spencer Jones, and anybody else who has a pulse 4. Promote the AAA manager to manage the Yankees. 5. Look for a young CLOSER in the minors or in exchange for a trade of Judge. 6. Do not even attempt to resign Soto. He will laugh in your face, and does not want to even be on this team. If I am going to finish last I want to finish last with young players who I can build upon and not finish last in order to finish last again with the same washed up and/or unmotivated players.

They need to clean house on ALL managers on the bench, we need a change and until that happens I doubt the Yankees will be in the playoff's let alone the World Series. they are not making it to the post season, and to be honest, I do not want to see this team in the post season. Boone and Cashman should be Fire 🔥 if the Yankees don’t at least get to the World Series or win championship. Hal needs to hold Cashman and Boone accountable for the Yankees failure for last 6 years. The last time the Yankees won a championship it was under George Steinbrenner watch. Hal Steinbrenner is not maintaining the Yankees winning championships, he breaking that tradition by his mediocre style of running the Yankees organization

5 of the last 18 is a major collapse. Only thing i'll say if the Mets can bounce back from a horrific start , the Yankees can also. Still they'll have big issues but honestly a move or 2 in the deadline and role players stepping up can put them back in good graces. But....... they may not advance far in the playoffs. Mets still arent out of their mess but the NL is much more attainable then the AL.

Michael Kaye doesn't think Boone is the problem. He's not the only problem but he is a problem, including the entire coaching staff. I've said ever since was annointed manager that they will never win the World Series with Boone! He has sat players down for a day off WHEN THEY'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A HOT STREAK! And then he won't set them down when they're slumping! Eventually they sat down Torres (Goober) and it helped for a minute but he's not being coached well either at bat or in the field!! They acquired JD Davis a .225 and he slotted him in the cleanup slot!!! I could go on forever but I'm tired already. There's not much more than a handful of players that I would keep!! And I'm not a Clay Holmes fan, at least not as a closer.
