- Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has stated that Zelensky is a "legitimate military target" for Russia. Speaking to TASS, Medvedev labeled Zelensky a ‘war criminal’ who should be brought to justice. Medvedev’s criticism follows Zelensky’s term as President of Ukraine expiring on May 20, 2024. The presidential election in Ukraine was originally scheduled for March of this year, but have been postponed. In December 2023, Zelensky had announced that no elections will be held till martial law remains in force.
