As I read the comments I see one praising Max's drumming, another talks about the great sax solo by Clarence and another for Roy's piano. There are so many bands where you could throw anyone up there for a show and it wouldn't make a difference, but not this one, this is the E Street Band.
I believe this is the best version of the best song that Bruce has ever sung, and it's 10 minutes of bliss and the last minute is heaven. He takes me to heaven with his voice. I'm so glad to have discovered him in 1981.
Shivers up the spine, tears in the eyes... Love this song from the first time I heard it. Saw it live at the Beacon theater in 1976. God Bless. I’ve always loved this band, they are truly teamwork at its best.
I can't believe what happens from 4:27 to 8:03. Some of the best four minutes in music history. It's not just the sax solo, which is one of the best (if not the best) ever written, but the whole piece. Everything and everyone is on point. I always listen to this part more than once, because each time I need to focus on just one instrument. If you have time to experience it, take your time and give it a try. Try listening to it focusing on the piano, then on the bass, then on the drums, and so on. It's great to focus on the sax, but when you listen further, you discover how incredibly talented this band is.
Never have and never will get over witnessing this magic…..sadly, I have been to see him so many times (in Canada), and he never has played this since 1980. No matter, this is my favourite solo in the world. Love you Clarence Clemons….
Why isn’t he playing this anymore? Totally bummed he didn’t play it in Albany this month. A lot of money for tickets and he doesn’t play the biggest of his hits
Hacía tiempo que no la escuchaba. Mucho tiempo.
Jorge
Too long for radio play you had to buy the album to hear it. I hate to say it but like most bands the studio version was 10 times better. The only bands that I have heard that sound just as good live is Van Halen , moody blues and ELO. I'm sure there's more but those three for sure, especially ELO. Jeff Lynn has no equal.
Il ruggito di Big Man in questa canzone e come Guernica, è come L'Urlo, come la Carmen, come Citizen Kane, un capolavoro immortale.Per sempre nel mio cuore fino all'ultimo dei giorni ❤❤❤❤
The greatest sax solo in rock and roll history. Period.
AMAZING!!
Agreed, Clarence was AMAZING!
No question.
Nothing even close to it.
RIP to The Big Man
everybody who watches this video is here to listen to the big man himself Mr Clemons
True story!

Happy 78th Birthday in heaven, Clarence! You are loved and missed beyond measure...♥♥♥
Not sure if anyone ever gives enough credit to Max Weinberg. Such a simple set of drums, but he does so much with it
Max NEVER Gets Old OR fades away!!!
I love Max love watching him plays my most favorite person in the band❤
I do 😎. Guy does more with less than any drummer I know of
Thank you Clarence. We Love & Miss You, Big Man ❤️💪⚡️

Thank you Clarence The Big Man You taught your nephew well !❤
Clarence..the original Mr. Carter..soul man.
If ever there is a "best song ever" ,this is it
Thx for this BigMan! RIP
R.I.P. Clarence, your playing on the sax was unworldly. Damn man I get chills when that part comes up
A masterpiece.
The greatest sax solo ever
My best song of Bruce.
Saw the "boss " in March of 82,the greatest concert ever saw. Or will ever see!!!
Clarence is great- BUT Roy Bittan carries the song with the great piano! One of the most under-appreciated musicians out there.
Dead heat. It is a tie
I wouldn't say BUT. I would say AND.
@@peacelove8442 well said
Don’t call him the Professor for nothing
You hear the piano the entire song, and the drums,
great!!!!!
Clarence, you live in my heart forever.
❤
It's Not London, Odeon, 1975 BUT, for 34yrs later, a Truly Magnificent Performance from both Bruce And Clarence (R❤P)!!!!!

Too bad Bruce can’t sing any more. I don’t like that fake red neck style of his.
