Man Siargao is so beautiful. All these coconut trees, so much fun just to ride around there. Love that island! My favorite in the Philippines🙏🇵🇭
It’s an amazing island! Probably my favorite island so far as well!
i was in philippines including siargao late april/late may & it was awesome.out of all the places i went siquijor,bohol/panglao & siargao were my fav. i always motorbike around. i went too those pools & saw that coconut forest view.also saw that man-made forest in bohol which was beautiful..i was at those pools in siargao late morning with a ton of ppl mostly locals & we all had fun jumping off that big rock into that one really deep pool. also tried calamansi juice 4 first time and it was cold & delish & cheap too..but that coco juice they sell on the side of the road is unreal good with those chunks of coconut in there.
I think it’s my favorite too! It’s just different. So much to do!
Beautiful place everyone always nice.
yep! I agree! Thanks for watching Koala man!
I’m looking forward to watching. I always get ideas of places to visit when I get over there again.
Thanks for watching Jason! I highly recommend the areas I show in this video!
so much fun to watch, as always🧡
Another great video Jonathan!! Thank you for sharing the the new adventure you went on!! Looking forward to the next video!!
Thanks for watching!
nice to see the unspoiled part of siargao
That’s the great thing about the Philippines. Even near the tourist areas, if you drive a bit out of town, there aren’t tourists
Siargao is amazing! 😱❤💯🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
It is!
About those cold springs, maybe best avoid contact with any groundwater, as it can lead to schistosomiasis.
Nasty parasitic disease. This is very common in Leyte, Samar and Mindanao. See CDC advisory.
oh wow thanks for the info!
Jonathan I’m loving your vlog showcasing, small and big resorts the area because me and my husband are going there within the next few months with our brand new motorcycle 🏍️ with solid stainless steel side car
Hoping you will be there too🤗
oh that sounds awesome! Which island are you going to?
My bff for 25 years is bisaya, never heard me saying a word in visaya until I learned some words from your vlog and she was surprised!
😂 next time something frustrating happens Yell out “eye nako!” Hahah and then put oy at the end of sentence if something is extreme… for example, “it’s so hot oye!” She’ll love it! 😅
there's one more famous line! when arguing, you can jokingly say "AYY AMBOT SA IMO !"
it means " i dont understand your point!" or '" I cant figure you out!" 😎🤟
Goodness, Jon! Your channel has been growing rapidly! Keep it up! You deserve it!
Thank you! I’ve had a lot of loyal supporters helping the channel grow!
The first time i visited Siargao, everybody was very chill. Island tourists spots we're superb, even the Sohoton Cove was worth the visit. Nightlife is amazing, walking the roads felt very safe. Overall an awesome experience.
It’s An amazing island !
Hi Jonathan, we love to see your vlog always and this place is so perfect!! I wish to see that place too ❤ be safe always. And thank you for appreciating our country.

Hey thanks for the sub! I’ve been to Florida many times (I’m from Alabama). Thanks for watching and subbing!
Beautiful beach and a nice location.
Yes it was!
Love your vids Jonathan! Your interactions with the locals are great - most of the other vloggers just seem to ignore them. Be safe and watch out for those street gangs!
Theres no street gangs there, the local municipality protect the tourist and siargao island is generally peaceful 27:18
@@tuting1965 I know - I was just teasing Jonathan because he called those little kids a "gang" - LOL
Always watching your videos Jonathan keep safe God bless you MABUHAY
Thank you for always watching! Mabuhay!
Hello Jonathan, nice to see you enjoying the beach area! You are lucky I have not been to any of those places and I’m from there originally! Looks like a lot of fun! I plan to go there and retire early! Take good care my friend!
So many Filipinos that have moved abroad are planning on retiring here! I hope my videos are helpful in showing you areas you may want to visit when you come back! Thanks for watching!
Nice tour man, i was all over Siargao during the late 80’s most of the gas station is in a small hut and gas is in the bottle of soda. Grreat🎉

Have fun roaming our lovely islands guys! Stay safe Godbless all ur ways!
Thank you! and thanks for watching!
I love these vids keeping it so real, and Im planning on doing the same later in the year
I'm inlove with siargao now!!!!😍
Good video bro, yeah that was a cockfight, each to there to own if want to watch but cool you stopped and chatted with the locals outside of it. Easy scooter drives along those beautiful views looked amazing and kudos to you sharing 3B's nice little resort.
Nice 🙂
Thanks for watching!
Mr. TRAVEL ESCAPES the kids there are used to bring along with them FARMING TOOLS they aren't weapons.😊
Haha yeah I was joking about the weapon 😅
Hi Jonathan, love your videos. Im in Siargao.
Ohh thank you for watching them! Siargao is amazing!
you're welcome Jonathan
That’s good idea Jonathan, Keep using some filipino words in your videos and let us know the English of it so we can learn some basic bisaya and tagalog too, hahaha
That's the plan!
Sukli is more tagalog. Im visayan so we use the word CAMBIO, means change in spanish. If youre from spain or latin america you will survive living in the Visayas and Mindanao because there are almsot 10,000 words in spanish that we been using for the past 500 years.
Stay longer! More Siargao vid pls 😎🏝️🌴🥥
More to come! I’m editing the next one now! Thanks for watching!
Usually around the world, its called Smoothie but in the Philippines its usually called Shake for fruit blend drinks. Also Sukli is tagalog. For the change in Bisaya and Ilonggo, its called Kambyo
yeah I think there was a bit of confusion there when I called it a smoothie
Sukli is still bisaya in Dumaguete, Bohol and Cebu. Our kambyo has different definition.
Great video Jonathan. Whats even crazier, is the fact that all the coconut trees there have the cuts in them from being harvested!
thanks! Yeah, the notches for climbing them?
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL yes, I thought that was wild how many they cut.
I love watching your vlogs. Brilliant!shout out from Ireland
Shout out to Ireland!!
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL Yay! Keep it up man, it makes me little homesick seeing all the beautiful places of my country you shown, well I haven't been in all of them but been to few. Hi hi to Anne
hugs x
@@pinaysabelfast1510 hopefully you can visit and see the beautiful islands again before too long! Thank you for watching!
@travelescapesOFFICIAL My pleasure!!! Keep it coming, ;ove love love them all :)
,youve been there before, Jonathan! so this is your second time inSiargao, im in Germany. hello to your vlog guests.
Yep! I had to come back! They’re actually back in Germany already too!
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL thank you for the reply, as well as that at Anne’s vlog! Enjoy sa among country, Dodong. ❤️🫰🏼
I could tell that you like jungles and a beach nearby. You should reach out to Valentina Loving Philippines , she partly lives in Samal for 11 years now, but have just started vlogging. So does her husband Friendly Russian.
I think you would love that place. They have different fruit trees and you could hear wild birds in their land. That’s somewhere you haven’t been.
In Samal there’s a small Russian community?
If Americans have MMA,boxing ,Spain has bullfighting the Philippines has cockfights😅
Happy 5th month's old baby James 👶 🎂🎊🎁
happy 5 months old baby James!
Okay ✅
Now I know where to stay in Alegria.
yeah! Or Pacifico also
2K per night for me it's expensive, maybe that price if it's ah pension house or something with good facilities, but If it's just an ordinary room 2k it's so expensive, maybe It's just because they know they are lots of foreigner and tourist that is why the price is high, in some place in mindanao there is some Pension house with good fasilities and very cheap for back packers. you can rent for about 500 or 600 pesos for 1night.
oh i love how isolated that Alegria beach area is! 😍☺️city life can be tiring at times.
you mentioned before that there's place in northern siargao where the people living there belongs only to one family. is that Alegria?
Very peaceful and isolated! The town with one family was in Pacifco where we stopped and walked on the beach and talked to the surf instructors! I show it again in the next video when I drive back, I stop and talk to the woman who told me they were all one family.
❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Jonathan you're lucky to explore the beauty of my country. With my very low pension, I can't afford even to explore the nearby provinces in our city. 😅
Kindly check the vlogger "Eight miles from home " A British family who lives beachfront. I think there is available house on their neighborhood
I do know their channel actually!
yes..they have their property in siargao but i dont know where in siargao..1200 a fan room without toilet is so expensive,i think there is 1200 in panglao, bohol which has already ac
Oh....you didn't get to swim in the beautiful water
Unfortunately not. Next time though!
Cockfighting or "sabong" in Tagalog has been part of the Philippines since the Spanish colonial times. So it's been embedded into the culture. As much as everyone hates it, it's been part of us since the beginning.
Yes, I've heard about it a lot and I see the roosters around the country that are kept for it. It seems to be quite common, but it's not a topic I'm going to show. I prefer not to cover controversial topics on this channel. Everyone can have their own opinion on it
I'm a Filipino but I find cockfighting disturbing. I think it's "inhumane". It's just brutal.
WALA PA ATA KASTILA MAY SABONG NA DITO SA ATIN😊
I remember being taken to a cockfight in the jungle of bali with some local guys, was one of my fondest memories, my guy bought one of those losing roosters and brought it home for his grandma to cook, she made an excellent soup with it. Good times.
And it has ruined a lot of marriage ahahah
Try sagada its a nice place
Don't get in the local traditions business they might take it the wrong way. Smart of you to not cover the cockfights. Safe travels
yeah I didn't want to do a video about it, so I just said I don't want to watch it personally and wanted to continue the bike ride
Puno and sukli are both Tagalog. 😊
Have you been to Sibuyan Island , its nice, and really not that soo many foreigners the place is amazing☺❤
I haven’t been there! I’ll look into it!
New subscribe watching from 🇸🇦🇵🇭👍
Salamat for not covering cockfighting can’t watch the brutal 😢
I won't show that in a video. Also I doubt CZcams would like it either
Magpopongko ❤
that was so difficult for me to say! hahaha
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL you can visit general luna
Sabong!!! oh dear
😊😊😊
You have to plan ahead in advance before everything shutdown like prepare for emergency
Jonathan, how are you? Have you been to Limasawa Island? Since you live in Bohol, just take super boat (super ferry?) to Cebu, then, another boat ride again to Limasawa. Its a historic place.
I've never heard of this! Thanks for the tip!
First
Nice!! You're quick!
Pacifico Siargao Island ❤
Is this the same Siargao that Philly in the Philippines just moved to? You should drop by and say howdy to him!
Hi Jonathan, I wanted to let You know that I now have a Philippine phone. My U.S. phone only works with Wi-Fi.
My Philippine phone CZcams is registered under my son's name, Kyle. You know me on my U.S.phone as Eric Solkamans.
So when You notice the name, kyle, it's me Eric Solkamans.
Love what You do.

Even if you try your best to make plans that doesn't mean it will work out
Very true!
Ah, that’s what I’m doing wrong. I drive right through the middle of those muddles. I keep loosing my girly moped.
Sorry, Chris. You're not going to offend me with that comment if that's what you're trying to do. In this part of the world, motorbikes are as common as cars in the US. That's how you get around here; they're fun to drive! I saw the video you posted on your channel. I hope all is going well for you, Chris!
Cockfighting is not only in the Philippines, I believe it is commonly found throughout the Southeast Asian region, including here in Indonesia.
Cockfighting in my country has also been a culture in society since ancient times, but since our government banned all forms of gambling for good in the early 70s, cockfighting has slowly disappeared itself from the culture of our society.
Of all regions in Indonesia, only Bali still legalizes cockfighting because the local government insists that it is their culture that must be preserved, and guarantees that it no longer involves gambling in it, but still gambling is still often found..
yeah, I've heard it's fairly common there aw well
The Roosters are philippines gladiators !!
I still wondering about the Machete Kid 😬... Maybe he is related to Danny Trejo 😅
😂
Hey man
hey man!
Im finally coming over after i get this house sold. Where are we hanging out first once i get there?
Nice. They have tipis? What are they? Sioux? Otoe? Pawnee?
Cherokee actually
That cockpit fight is called "tupada" and it's a normal activity in the provinces
yes I see the roosters all around the towns that are kept for it
Hey Jonathan, yes, that is me Eric Solkamans with my Philippine phone. Registered under my son's name, Kyle. Just remember it's me, Eric.

It's called "Sunday school" I've been told :)
what's called Sunday school?
Cock fights on Sunday. My brother in law always jokes about going to Sunday school when going to the cock fights.
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL The cock fights. My brother-in-law always says he's taking his rooster to sunday school when he goes to the cock fights.
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
If you lived in every place you've said it, you would live on every island 🤣 The scenery is nice, but there's MILLIONS of pics/videos you can look at, it's the interaction with the locals that I enjoy the most. You taking the time to talk with them and always being friendly, hopefully will show not all foreigners are the same, some actually do care and want to take in their culture. You're a great ambassador for foreigners.
yep! I agree... That's why I never spend much time touring beaches. Those pics/videos already exist but those interactions with the people I meet will only happen once. It's like the Japanese saying ichi-go ichi-e, meaning "once in a life time". Treasuring this moment that only happens once. Thanks for watching!
