Good to see ya Dennis, nice that the truck was already in the family, you know where it’s been and how it’s been treated 👍🏻take care and keep em comin hoss🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
Nice to see back on your channel. I bought a new 2005 ram 2500 new and run it 300k with no issues except batteries and oil changes. Best truck I ever owned and I have had loads of trouble with the 4 gen Laramie.
Good to see the Video, saw the truck in the mulcher video background before this one.....was by there last week and was wondering why it was looking more like a log yard than a construction company lol.....16 loads would explain that, bet some of them coming from the new road build??? what a mess that is......Be safe out there
Actually none of them came from there because they wouldn’t let anyone have it. They just burned it all unfortunately. I’m getting this from a buddy of mine that logs.
Our 2003 Dodge 2500, 5.9 like your “new” truck has 220,000 miles. A friend and I took the 3/4 ton axle out and found a 1 ton dually axle and put it under it. People look and ask “a 3/4 ton dual”! You will like that truck. Happy Easter!
Definitely a score on getting that kinda deal especially getting it from within the family, that makes it even better being as you know the history of the truck.
I was passing through your town a year or so ago on a fishing trip and saw you making a delivery in the green truck. Glad I got to see it unexpectedly like that. I'm the same way because I still have my first truck and it needs work too lol.
On the topic of recap tires, years ago I had a 74 Chevy C20 that I bought off an old fella, it had a 250 straight six and 3 on the tree, the body was rough but she ran like a top. I never gave the spare tire any thought other than making sure it had air. Well I had to work on a Saturday and I got a flat left front tire on the way to work so I put the spare on never noticing that it was a re-tread, went to work, then on the way home while driving at 55 mph through a speed trap that tire let loose. I went from the right lane All the way to the left shoulder and the wheel was straight the entire time. The tread came off except it was still held on by about 10 inches the rest was flailing around. The front end jumped so high that I thought the truck was going to turn over. Luckily there wasn't anyone beside me when it happened. The State Police officer running radar in the median didn't even seem phased by it and didn't even ask if I needed any assistance, he just moved down to the next cross over. Now I'm 5 miles from the closest phone and can't drive on this tire so I put the previous flat back on and limped down the shoulder to the next exit and called a tow truck. Ironically the only other time I worked a Saturday for that employer while owning that truck I burned a piston. I hate working for employers on Saturdays, I've never had any difficulties working for myself on Saturdays.
Road salt is tearable on vehicle's my uncle had a old Chevy that busted in half at the front leaf spring shackle on the rear end on both sides because road salt ate the frame
That is a nice truck. I’m like you those years of Dodgers might as well just been an extended cab truck with four doors. lol do you have any videos of your firewood processor?
Hello from Bristol, hey Dennis glad to see ya. It’s been in the 70’s a lot here so I bet you’re getting tractor seat time getting ready for summer. Yeh, heated seats feel good as do the cooled ones too. She outta last the rest of your life. How’s the rebuild on the 7.3 comin ? See ya on the next one. Warren.
Watch letsdig18 he had a new thumb made for excavators that works better logs and picking things up and he bought a log graffle also to handle logs instead of using the thumb and bucket for logs all the time bud Chris is really good and smart 🤓 at what he does like you
Great addition to the fleet! 👍
I'd never get rid of the green machine but very nice upgrade ❤
Good to see you back Dennis, great video 😎
Good to see ya Dennis, nice that the truck was already in the family, you know where it’s been and how it’s been treated 👍🏻take care and keep em comin hoss🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
Love the way you tell the stories Dennis. Best of luck with the new truck. It looks cool. 👍😊🇮🇪🇺🇸
Thanks!

I’ve had good luck with my 4th gen tradesman.
Mighty fine upgrade for the new wood truck hope it lasts as long as old green

Wow that is a lot of trees just to burn. But that is the wisdom of big money too. Have a great one and be safe.@@DLHFarms
I like your new wood truck. It doesn't even know it's loaded.
It really don’t know it’s loaded
Nice truck Dennis. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money.
You got that right!
Enjoyed the video, congrats on the new truck!
Isn't it a blessing how God provides?
Yes and I feel that’s exactly what happened.

This is the first time I noticed the plate, Old Green Truck.
Haha
Spaghetti noodles with a fork. Yep, a good description of unloading logs with an excavator.
Haha

Yes definitely!

Very cool!
I think that is a steal of a deal for a 5.9 Cummins and that low of miles. I have been in a similar one and was getting 20mpg with an open long bed
Awesome they are good trucks for the most part
Congratulations Dennis, Great Truck, I have A 1999 with the Cummins, 🪵🇺🇸
Nice video, you always got some irons in the fire don't you
Good video.
Thanks!
Nice truck hope the dial pin behind timing cover has been upgraded 👍🏻🇺🇲
Have no idea
Thats a great buy. It should be very useful. Ron
I think so too
How have you not had any videos up for a long time?
Hello Dennis! You might get quite a bit for the old green truck at the scrap yard. 😅😅
Bahaha they don’t have enough money to buy old green at the scrap yard

That’s some bad luck
Road salt is tearable on vehicle's my uncle had a old Chevy that busted in half at the front leaf spring shackle on the rear end on both sides because road salt ate the frame
The rust is from salt used on the road? That green truck is really rusted and it’s even been repaired once.
Yes from road salt. I hate that stuff
👍👍👍
you may think your wood customers might not care how their wood gets delivered but i am sure they are looking for that blue truck,
Probably so haha
That is a nice truck. I’m like you those years of Dodgers might as well just been an extended cab truck with four doors. lol do you have any videos of your firewood processor?
There are several videos of the processor on my channel
I don't know Dennis, I think you are getting spoiled in that new truck 😂 Good to hear from you!
Haha
My brother Lee had a metal I beam came in and landed between his feet once scared 😰😰 the crap 💩 out of the both of us

7.3 is good and back to work. Video coming on that soon
You snooze you lose 😀
Yep haha

How's your hay season going ?
Nice truck and I’m glad y’all kept it in the family.
How do like your RM 4500?
Do your mean the Ram 3500 in the background?
@@DLHFarms yes, I thought it was a 4500 with wide front axle. Either way, do you like the truck?
Nice dodge,But old green is still the the Boss !
No doubt!
That sure is a clean ol truck, especially for up in your area there! Do you plan on getting a matching tow mirror for the passenger side? Lol
Already got one and put it on. I wondered if anyone would catch that. Haha
@@DLHFarms haha! I had to do a double take on it!
Stellantis man!?
Never even heard of that word until a few days ago. I’m assuming they purchased Chrysler I’m still not sure.
Dennis does this dodge have rust?
No hardly any
Hey buddy everything going good? Ron
Yes sir
How much wood do you fit in that dump bed? 1/2 cord or so?
3/4 of a cord
Where videos at
Is that oak and poplar wood
No, it’s oak and hickory
you will get the green truck fixed up and your boys will use it to chase women
Bahaha I tried that when I fixed it the first time. Didn’t work.
