Season x is what an end of chapter season should be, chaotic.
It ended up feeling like all of Fortnites mistakes in one season rather then all of the good of fortnite in one season which is what it deserved to be.

I always wanted to play season X bcuz of mechs slipstreams and rift zones... I was so sad fortnite OG only brought the zero point bubble.
you can use third party software like rift to play old seasons if you want ( i use it sometimes)

Season X is still one of my favorite seasons. The battlepass is still my favorite to this day, and the map was amazing. I honestly really liked taco time. I started playing in season 7, so it was cool getting to go to Greasy Grove for the first time. Also the tacos was really fun. Weekly map updates like season x is something I miss.
The amount of fear that came over me when I heard a mech coming will always be engrained into my soul also it was really funny the amount of times the team we were fighting had a temporary truce so we both defeat a mech when it came around because we knew if we didn’t defeat it we would both be gone.
Over Season X was a good season with the exception of the mechs, Titled Town, Moisty Palms, and Gressy Grove, and some of underwhelming items in the loot pool
This season was fortnite og part 1 kinda with the return of old pois and the remixed skins and then the more recent one was kinda og part
But no genuinely, the brute was one of my favourite parts of season x. That’s why I got so excited at the end of chapter 2 when they were bringing it back, I just don’t get why we never got it in creative after the new engine.

I HAVE UNIRONICALLY BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE RELEASE!!! Season X is tied with c1S7 as my favorite season, and starry suburbs is my favorite location (after all the c4s4 pois) and this probably has my favorite overall map and maybe lootpool as well. This was probably my most played chapter 1 season, and I even got the origin ultima knight with his quest style. That entire battle pass was so amazing, with Y0ND3R being my second favorite skin in all of fortnite. Season X will always hold such a special place in my heart, and Im so glad there's someone who loved it as much as me. Thank you for making this video

My Karma at this time was so bad that my ps4 got broken at level 95 and i wanted the Ultimate Knight so much because im started at Chapter 1 season 6 and after 2 weeks of Chapter 2 i got my repared ps4 back 😢😢
i was grounded for the first week of season x so i didnt see the op mechs. i joined when they were nerfed. so i have no bad memories about the mechs. season x was amazing, one of my favorite seasons. there was so much going on and i loved everything about it. it was so much fun due to everything

I'm sorry, The mech was never PROPERLY nerfed during the season. Lets go over EVERY single nerf to the mechs mentioned in the patch notes which you failed to go over because you lacked any understanding of what those nerfs actually did. It is very important to analyze the nerfs and their effects because throughout gaming history, there have been MANY bad nerfs. So let's start:
10.10: This update added a laser which basically just made it more obvious that you were being targeted. This had no change in terms of the rockets which were the hardest part as you could not out build the rockets. This meant that when shot at you couldn't do anything to counter the rockets. 10.10 also lowered the spawn rate of the mechs which again, just means there's less. It doesn't actually make the mechs any less broken.
Balance Change mid 10.10: This was probably the only actual nerf to the mechs damage output rather than just reducing the spawn rate. This reduced the rockets and fire rate. However, they actually BUFFED the mech increasing it's health from the already STAGGERING 1,000 Health to 1,250. For reference, this is more health than cars have in game at the moment. And without the Anvil Rocket Launcher. It's very easy to last inside of a car for quite awhile without having to worry about it exploding. Other nerfs here included the jump height as well as dash cooldown time (again, these do nothing to actually nerf the rockets or stomping power).
10.20: Only added an icon showing the map location of a brute. This AGAIN, does not nerf the rockets or stomps. This update also nerfed turbo building. Which made the rocket fire rate changes COMPLETELY USELESS. Thankfully these were reverted, but it shows a clear lack of understanding by Epic (and you) about what made the mechs so broken in the first place.
10.20.2: lowered the spawn rate a bit more. AGAIN this literally does nothing to nerf the mechs when someone actually has one.
10.30: Did not nerf the mechs in this update AT ALL.
10.31: Again, no nerfs to be seen for the rockets or stomp.
10.40: No nerfs to be seen in the patch notes. HOWEVER, this is when mechs began to explode instantly on the ground. Keep in mind however this was 2 and a half weeks before the end of the season.
10.40.1: The last update of the season. No nerfs again as the mechs were basically removed.
My point with all of this is that you brushing off how the mechs were "not the same by the end" is such an insanely dishonest conclusion of the season. While this is true, That change didn't occur until the end of the season. For 2 months, players had to deal with the mechs non stop as epic made slight changes to their spawn rate while failing to fix the actual issues which was the inability for players to quickly counter mechs as well as their rockets and stomp abilities. You need to actually take into context how late the mech was actually removed from the game and also how the mech was NOT nerfed throughout the season. You cannot brush off the failures of the mech as it remained unchanged after 10.10. It wasn't slowly nerfed during the season as you implied. Players had to constantly deal with the mech being the same throughout the season all the way up till the final 2 weeks.
This video is clearly a love letter to Season X. I understand that. But you cannot ignore how glaringly bad the mechs were and how Epic COMPLETELY failed to realize what made it so broken in the first place. You need to give context in your video as well as acknowledge that just because Epic said they nerfed the mechs, doesn't mean they actually nerfed the right aspects of it. I 100% agree that had the mechs not been in Season X then the Season would have been great. I look back on those last few days of Season X with so much fondness as my friends finally agreed to hop on after they were removed. But to apply that small week long time of fun and pretend that Epic couldn't have given us MONTHS instead shows that you are completely biased by nostalgia in this video.

I think Season X was great because it was pure chaos and that’s how every chapter should end a pure 10 weeks of chaos

I remember when they vaulted the mechs in the last 2 weeks of the season, it was for me one of the most fun times in fortnite in my opinion, also the zone wars were crazy and i just think that if they removed the mechs since the start it couldve been a top 3 season of all time

Season X is just epics biggest blunder. If you ask me it’s quite easily one of the worst seasons of all time, I’ve got it second. The mech and some of the bad rift zone changes (soccer field, moisty greasy) killed it. Mechs for nerfed every patch but it wasn’t enough. Once the self destruction happened made the season playable, but the nerfs definitely did not do enough
I Got killed by mechs twice, maybe that was because i was a nintendo switch player and just knew where to hide/keep out of player dense sections of the map.
and it HURTS that i wasn't able to get ultima knight, that skin goes so hard.
Overall, season X was definitely always a favourite by me, epic just kept rolling with the new items and content in ways that i yearn to see in todays game.

Season X is easily in my top 5. I had tons of fun with it, the rift zones were such a cool concept, and I didn't have any problems with brutes whatsoever. Hate me if you want, but I put it above Ch2 S4 AND Ch2 S4. Now, I'm no glazer, it had it's flaws, but I have such good memories from the season.

Next season of snapshots must be incredible this season has been a while but I’m still enjoying it.
As a player who started in Chapter 2, I wish I could have been there for the chaos of this season, I really hope Epic would make a season like this in the future, it sucked that in OG when we got to the final update we barely got anything from season X and I dislike how much of the community whining caused Epic to not do things like this again like the over the top evolving nap, or just fresh new spins on gameplay to the amount that it was in season X

The mechs are what made the season hard to like. Everything else about the season? The weapons. Items, rift zones. It was all super super super fun and I really wish we had gotten a season x version of the map during fortnite og during the last week. I wanted to play in tilted town, or taco town, or the borderlands zone. They were all so unique.

I miss the mechs and the ufos and the blade and the marvel mythics. All the overpowered items that break the game are the source of my best kills and memories with friends

Season X is in my top 5 and no one can tell me otherwise; And in my opinion the season X map was one of my favorite versions of the chapter 1 map, also I love the rift zones they gotta bring it back.

I'm gonna be honest.
Season X is actually my most favorite season OF ALL TIME. All the stuff they added was great in my opinion. (Including the mechs, Greasy Grove and Moisty Palms. Fight me, haters of those three things.)
Really, there's only a few things I didn't like from this season.
1: Removing the Soccer Stadium
2: Removing Tilted Town for Gotham City.
3: Making the Zapper Trap too weak.
4: Removing the Shadow Stones from being apart of the Glitched Consumables (They could've just fixed them up like they did in C2S8)
Besides those negatives, Season X is a near perfect season for me, and I bet NOTHING can beat it.
This is my 4th favorite season of all time
This was the first season I not only quit but didn't finish the battle pass. That really says something. I gave it the best chance I could. Not as bad as this season... but it was REALLY bad! It was what got me into not playing fortnite. Chapter 2 season 3 was the next season that got me to stop playing... and the first time I didn't get the battle pass! After that I only played like 5 hours per season cause they all sucked.
Then I played fortnite OG and it was... AMAZING. I played everyday for 2+ hours (On average). It was PEAK fortnite, better then chapter one. Then chapter 5 was mid despite the momentum of liking fortnite built from OG and chapter 5 season 2 I barely played. This season I probably played more then chapter 2 season 2 but only because my friends started playing (They weren't even aware of the new season btw. They started playing as they had free time that they didn't last season.).

I used to consider season x my least favorite season of all time, but my opinion on it has definitely gotten softer over time.
I think 10.40, the last version of the season, and when the mechs were vaulted is a fantastic version of fortnite.
I mostly played TR during the season, and the chaos was really fun in that mode
the mechs really were the biggest issue with the season, everything else was a great sendoff to chapter 1.
