    I am over 50 and that's the model of my choice. Properly set, it rides so soft and it has great features despite being below 30kg. It has a lot of ways to adjust it to your liking with the app.
    Also, by having few moving mechanic parts, it is easy to maintain and its service period to keep it top notch is about every 4 months (to clean and lube the rails and guides, to make it even softer). When setting the suspension pressure, always go over the desired value, then use the pump's purge button to go down until reaching the desired value. What you did not used on the video is the small ring on the tip of the pump. Release it before detaching the tip, to disconnect it from the valve, to prevent loosing pressure while disconnecting the pump's tip. Yes go on the upper valves with about half of the pressure of the lower valves. Tire pressure is also important to test and adjust to your liking. Keep your knees bent a bit. They are your main insurance when encountering surprises on the road.
    Congratulations for joining the club. 😉

    Congratulations on such a great pick as a first wheel, once you have learned to ride it is an amazing way to get around and no other pev comes close to the feeling.
    Sold my fast e-bike so I don’t have to worry about it being stolen while in the shop as you take it with you and can easily put it in the car. Also climbs hills so much easier and faster.
    You can also lower your psi if you need help to balance when learning as it helps to keep it upright.

    • @BklynOutdoors
      @BklynOutdoors  Před 9 měsíci

      Thank you, I am getting better, only have 15 to 20 mins each day to practice, but soon I will have more time. Each time I get on it feels more natural. I heard about the PSI, right now I have it at around half the suggested pressure and it's helped with stability. Might make a short video of my progress... if I can get out before the sun sets (otherwise it's too dark for recording).

    I'm 52 and I just bought my first euc about a month ago as a first time rider (veteran patton). Keep it up! You'll be riding it in no time, just keep practicing. It took me about 2 weeks with an hour or so practice every other day to be comfortable riding it around the streets and bike paths. They are so much fun, it's worth it. Just make sure you get the proper gear to go with it as you WILL have some falls on it.

      I'm slowly getting confident on it but lately it has been difficult finding the time to practice and having good weather, I found out that wet grass isn't the best medium to practice on (no surprise there. I figured grass would be less damaging to the unit while I am learning but right now the ground is very wet, even without rain.

      @@MichaelHollandOne Imo, I'd go with the V11, it's more powerful and will deliver more of what you want. The V8 is good to learn on, but you can learn on any machine. You don't want to outgrow it super fast, then it would be a waste of money. It'll be harder to learn on the V11, but once you get it, you'll be glad you took the higher machine. I started on the patton.. an 80lb beast as a first time euc rider. At the start I was a little like "what did I get myself into?" but then after it clicked, man, I'm so happy I went higher end. I'm almost a little sad I didn't start with a 20 inch wheel, but honestly the 16 inch has its benefits (like being super nimble and easier to toss in the back of my SUV). Good luck and have fun! I've only had 20 mins a day to practice (so far) but today I made it a few feet and it felt great. @@BklynOutdoors don’t give up but do take breaks. It took me about a week to get comfortable on a V10. But, I still was very wobbly and turns were still very hard for me. Then winter came so the wheel just sat in my garage for about 3 months. Surprisingly, when I started back up again, it just clicked and turning were not hard anymore, then I started to take longer and longer trips. Gears then got better, then I moved to a Sherman Max, rest is history. Currently, EUC = Life. I ride daily, even in the rain.
