Nikon P1000 - What’s on the Sign? - Zoom Test (700M)

  • Our second week on New Zealand’s East coast and it’s a Nikon #P1000 #Test we have only done once in the past where we look at the camera's ability to pick up details over medium distances.
    Originally I had planned to walk up for a reverse shot back down to the beach but somebody sprained their ankle walking off the beach and was no longer fit for purpose…..(it was me just to be clear)
    New Chums look is a popular viewing point with breath-taking views but apparently also has a giant sticker, maybe plaque? Maybe sign? that you don’t notice until you are up there or you have an ultra zoom camera.

    That was a very impressive demo of the P1000. it was impressive just seeing the people on the rock let alone also seeing the shark sticker on the rock. Thanks for sharing my friend.

    Hi SuperZoom, thanks for another great video! I’ve been stumbling onto your videos while researching the Nikon p1000 and I must say, they’re influencing me to buy the camera.
    I have one question. At longer zoom ranges, since it’s difficult to maintain stability handheld, which is the best tripod to use? I’m assuming any common tripod wouldn’t cut it since it becomes very front heavy?

    • @SuperZoomVideos
      @SuperZoomVideos  Před 3 lety +2

      I’m lazy so I don’t always take my big tripod with me but when I do it’s a manfrotto action tripod that barely does the job.
      At longer distances everything is amplified even on a tripod so you want something with a smooth motion, maybe a ball head. I would recommend talking to the various FB groups around what they use.

      @@SuperZoomVideos Thank you for the informative reply! I’m a beginner and my main attraction is the long zoom itself. Would it be easier to get stable zoomed in videos using the Nikon p950 without a tripod? What do you recommend?
