    I can’t decide whether staying up till midnight to watch the race was a good or bad thing lol. What a race, I literally got a full cardio session in by just watching. And damn, Lewis and Bono be making me emotional 🥲

    So freaking happy that Lewis finally won again! Still smiling today when I think about it. And to do it at the British GP was just the icing on the cake. How about for next week's episode you do a mid-season review since we are halfway through the races now? Maybe go back to your 2024 predictions episode and see how well y'all did so far?

    I’m so happy for Lewis! He was the one that initially made me love F1. But I’m so sad for Oscar. Mclaren keeps screwing him over, often in favor of Lando. And Lando chokes and misses his opportunities. I just feel with Oscar’s talent he can’t keep being treated as the second driver.

    that was a core memory kind of a moment. the win so sweet. pure emotions. a man so cruelly denied a rightful championship, is given a car that cannot win for over two years. then it happens. and boy what a place to do it. that radio message between Lewis and Bono really got me. He is one of one. The most iconic driver, ever. A driver who can make grown men cry.

    If anything, I think Mercedes will have more regrets now. They didn't listen to Lewis for 2 years on the development direction of the car, he gets fed up and accelerates his schedule to join Ferrari.

    37:45 so the reason why Mclaren didn't double stack was because to do that there needs to be atleast a 4 second gap between the drivers(so the other driver doesn't have to stop and wait in the pit lane) but Oscar was only a second behind Lando, so they had to choose between them, and Lando was the logical choice. Which sucks for Oscar because up until that point he was driving a brilliant race.

      yep, it wasn't going to work and unfortunately Oscar paid the price

    Not a Lewis fan (I’m a Sainz & Rosberg fan) but I had tears in my eyes and was sooooo happy for him! You could feel that it meant so much and to have it happen in Silverstone with his family there (even Roscoe) was awesome.

      I know what you mean. I think the longer you watch the sport the more space you have in your heart for more drivers. Especially the older ones that have stuck around.
      Rosberg is seemingly a Hamilton fan and predicted the win this weekend for him, despite the 2.5 year drought and Russell’s/McLaren’s recent form.
      Sainz also deserves a good drive going forward. He’s shining at the moment.

    Also I’m a ride-or-die Carlos girlie but OMFG just pick a team and sign already!! Now that the triple header is done he’ll hopefully decide & announce soon so the rest of the grid can move on.

    I think with Albon consciously deciding to represent Thailand and racing under their flag, it would be a bit presumptuous or maybe even in bad taste for the organisers or commentators to claim him as another Brit on the grid, at least without qualifying it by explaining that he represents Thailand, anyway.
    Plenty of other drivers don’t have a home race either, sadly.

    F1 - probably needed to attract a wider audience who are more familia with Brad than the sport. Classic movie called ‘Grand Prix’ in 1966 with contemporary GP drivers making cameos so this is in keeping with the theme.

    Love Lewis!! There is a reason why he is considered the best of his generation. Hope he doesn't regret going over to Ferrari. They were crap in the last few races and strategically is just horrible. I have to say, thank goodness you are both US based because the Spanish and Italian media have been brutal towards Charles. Tyre choice was his based on incorrect info given to him. Also. Lando....bottling another win and McLaren ruining the race for Oscar. Feel bad for both of them.

  • @MikeJones-ql3db
    @MikeJones-ql3db Před 27 dny

    Checo should get a seat somewhere else if he still wants to drive... most teams, especially mid fielders, would love to have a Red Bull driver.. they always pick up their scraps

  • @Melanieolv
    @Melanieolv Před 28 dny

    I love oscar but if he wants to be prioritized he needs to outqualify Lando or outrace him by the first pit stop. Driver in front always gets the preferential strategy in any team so I don’t understand people blaming Lando for Oscar getting screwed over. The team should have double stacked but they probably thought Oscar could hold on for one more lap rather than having to wait 4 or 5 seconds. It didn’t go their way and it was the wrong decision but unfortunately McLaren fucked that up. I blame this loss completely on the team the strategy sucked today.
