- Here's the 1987 press conference that Sean Connery held for the film, "The Untouchables." He talks at length about that film, Kevin Costner and Brian DePalma, as well as the James Bond franchise, advice for Timothy Dalton, Alfred Hitchcock and his thoughts on a wide range of his own movies.

For me, Sean Connery was the king of Hollywood. I have loved every movie he has starred in, regardless of the size of the role.
He is greatly missed and I wish I had had the chance of meeting him.
What a legend. Love him so much.
I was born in the 60’s and still ❤️ the decade today. Sean was an ICONIC part of that era of truly AWESOME entertainment
We know that Sean had got fed up with the role of playing a character‘James bond’ even by Goldfinger
For me outside of the first 5 Bond films THE HILL was his best. Again for many reasons I could mention and I also loved THE ANDERSON TAPES
I think he and LUMET were ‘singing from the same hymn sheet’ so to speak
He made many films over his career but didn’t suffer fools
Having watched The Man Who Would Be King a few times over the last couple of years it makes me think of Michael Caine
He is 89 in a couple of weeks and he is probably one of the last great actors of the 60’s left

Couldn’t agree with you more. I think The Hill was his finest piece of work and still one of my all time favourite movies.
