Soldier Boy is near Homelander level, Sam is near Queen Maeve level. Anything Sam does, Soldier boy does better. Soldier boy is more Durable, Strong, Jump power, Reaction time, Fast, and has more destructive capabilities. Soldier Boy wipes the floor with Sam.
Soldier Boy is above Homelander in terms of power level since Soldier Boy can always disable other supes powers. Sam would not win. Soldier boy would simply disble his powers then kill Sam.

The only way he can beat homelander is if he has a team to restrain homelander so he can blast him. In terms of strength and durability homelander is almost twice as strong seeing as how he beat soldier boy pretty easily when they went 1v1. We are told the Luke would have been "homelander strong" and Sam is even stronger then Luke that means older Sam would likely be above Soldier Boy in terms of raw strength so soldier boy would have to rely on the radiation blast to win.
You can tell Sam lacks any type of training and only goes off his emotion. If he ever did receive any type of fighting or skills training, i think Sam could be dangerous

I think Sam’s powers are very all over the place because of his schizophrenia, and if he could learn to control himself and get his mental state under control he’d be able to do WAY more damage. All that, AND he’s still only a kid. It probably makes sense that Supe’s powers get stronger with age sort of like puberty, so tbh I could definitely see Sam putting up at least somewhat of a fight against someone like Soldier Boy ( maybe not Homelander yet) in the future. Every scene of his strength has shown that he rips through people like pieces of paper, VERY similar to Homelander and Soldier Boy. It would be so dope to get a third individual who’s considered overwhelmingly dangerous to the public because of how powerful they are, and maybe even someone who isn’t a sociopath or narcissist like we’ve seen twice now.
I disagree Soldier boy is almost as strong as Homelander if not stronger The reason why soldier boy is way strong and could stand up to three sups, including Butcher (Homelander power), is because of his experience and combat training. Don't forget his deception and how he tracked his former team. I believe Sam can be as strong as Maive.
An interesting note about soldier boy is i think he's stronger than we realize. When utilizing his blast it seems to weaken him for a little while. He's always limping and staggering after. When he went up against homelander it was right after using it so he seemed already exhausted but still strong enough to throw homelander around and even stalemate at certain moments. When he was at full strength he was rag dolling every single supe who came at him. An interesting note about Sam is i don't think he's grown into his powers yet. He's 18 or 19 and constantly plagued by schizophrenia. I wonder what he'd be like in his physical prime at 21 and absolutely pushing his limits. Not far behind queen Maeve i reckon if not already on par.

Sam does well against regular joes. But Polarity and other sups seem to subdue him pretty quick...I don't think that would be the case with soldier boy.

I have a theory that Sam will become Black Noir. It would fit perfectly if Sam goes missing at the end of the season. Then we could see the new Seven introduced, and Homelander would be shocked to see that Black Noir is back. Homelander might try to roughen up Noir, but he wouldn't get far. Noir’s mask would have a layer of Zinc that prevents anyone from seeing his face. Homelander would see that Noir also seems to be even stronger than before, so It could be an almost equal match for him.

Solider boy is a walking bomb that nullifies supe powers I’m a huge fan of Sam and he has the potential to beat a lot of characters in the boys but right now without further experimentation or training I don’t think he’s beating Solider Boy

I think all of them are much stronger than they know.. Like a clear example is Andre, he's clearly a Magneto styled hero yet we've only seen him do really simple shit.. I think we'll see him do far greater things in season 2.. But its the same with the other heroes.. Cate takes those pills/sams always on meds/Marie is only now understanding that she can blood bend.. And Emma getting big, she could eat a fuck ton and crush anyone.

Emma isn't that powerful and more than likely has a disadvantageous power, if she wanted to get bigger than she did in episode 4 and 5, she'd have to eat a LOT like you said, that might kill her, she might have a heart attack or something. Sam is a Soldier Boy/Black Noir type character. All of his powers come from physical capabilities, or at least those we've seen so far. Whether he would defeat Soldier Boy or not would depend on the state in which Soldier Boy would be found, because on the contrary he is a much better fighter than Sam. Still, Sam is just as brutal as Homelander and so I don't doubt he would put up a good fight.
Yeah but as of now Soldier boy is far more durable and far stronger. They were able to keep Sam strapped down to a table and pierce his back with a needle. They also were able to contain him in a metal room and keep him there against his will. He got out when Emma killed the guard Greg. They also tased him into submission. The Russians had to keep soldier boy heavily sedated, locked down with steel clamps and shackles.

From what we seen from Luke he wasn't any stronger then Starlight. Homelander also wasn't noticeably stronger than soldier boy. He got the upper hand on him in thier first fight but that was right after SB depleted all his energy blowing up herogasm. SB was still confident enough he could take Homelander to go and try and kill him. Homelander is probably stronger but it's not by large amount. Both would bury Sam. Sam at his peak is probably Maeve/stormfront in strength but Homelander and SB are on another level. Sam probably gets killed by Marie in the finale.

i think it is very soon to compare sam to other supes because we still don't know how powerful sam really is or how powerful marie really is after we watch end of the series then we can talk about (who would win) because for now we only know sam has superhuman strength +durability
as much as i love sam, i really dont think he's that much of a powerhouse, and i think the only reason why its been so hard for the group to subdue him is because their lack of experience/weaker skill set, and because of how unpredictable sam can be. But if sam were to go up against practically any supe from The Boys, i feel like they could subdue/incapacitate him pretty easily. So, its not really a question of how strong he is, but really how much weaker/inexperienced his opponents are in comparison.

The gas that knocks out Soldier Boy might be the same gas that knocked out San in episode 1 when he escaped. The soldiers gassed him with something while Andre pinned him with the car. They were even using the same delivery system we saw mother's milk use on soldier boy. As for strength, it's pretty clear that Sam is about on Maeve's level. Also I think people are underestimating just how strong and durable Emma is. Even tiny she can survive fighting with ants without a scratch, she can jump off the equivalent of a 20 story building and land on her feet just fine, she can even tunnel her way through a guy's skull and that's while she's TINY. Now when she giant sized her strength and durability is probably more greatly enhanced. I think she truly held Sam down because she had similar strength, superior mass and leverage. I think she might even be as strong as homelander. We just don't know because she's been so ashamed of using her powers in a serious way and only used her giant power twice in her life. I don't think her powers are based on calorie intake and outtake though. I think that's a psychological weakness she developed because of her mom's mental abuse growing up. It would be too hard to regulate her calories to keep a specific height especially given how quickly they portrayed intake of calories effecting her. I feel like she would have accidentally ingested too many calories fairly often and enlarged. Plus her shrink and enlarge powers make her caloric absorption work in opposite ways which is impossible. We see her enlarge within seconds of eating pasta but somehow the rest of the time her body doesn't absorb calories very fast as she can purge her stomach content even hours after eating. This strongly suggests it's psychological and that in her mind she views purging as being associated with her shrinking power and binge eating/overeating being associated her growth power because that's the psychological damage her mom created in her with her body shaming her eating all her life. Hopefully she overcomes that psychological limitation because she's the most interesting character by far and I'd love to see her become a hero.
He has the potential but Soldier boy has better strength, nuke ability, experience, anti-aging and a very tactical thinking. Sam was tortured in the woods and what he only became by the ending of gen v, was just a monster. There is no way of Sam surpassing him as of current situations., given the fact that Sam has no self thinking power and does what only influences him temporarily. Besides, I think Sam will die in upcoming seasons, judging from the way his character growth is going.

Soldier boy is stated lots of times to be on homelanders league of power and can possibly even kill homelander, soldier is in contention of being in the top 2 supes in the verse. Going by the fact Sam was having trouble against a bunch of college students and we actually seen a needle get used on him which shows he isn't fully invincible I don't think there is any to stop soldier from one punching him.

It’s hard to say what Sam is truly capable of in the beginning when he fought Marie and Jordan they struggled yes but still managed to hold him back however when they went against him again when he went after cate he destroyed them like they were nothing. Not to mention it’s highly possible Sam has psychic abilities also they were using him to boost golden boys powers brink confirmed this saying he was stronger then ever. Sam’s mind has been so muddled thanks to cate that his powers which we don’t even know what they are have been hindered now he is free and probably going to get trained and help from Emma i cannot wait to see what becomes of Sam and Marie those 2 I think are the most powerful that haven’t reached their full potential or strength yet.

I suspect the one thing really going in Sam's favor too is that, well, he isn't an asshole and as soon as they remember him, he will have a support team that won't betray him to get rid of him. I also think his appearance next week is a Sam hallucination. Like what happened with the puppet and then the team rallying around him cause his hallucination to age up a bit. And he seems to like Payback as a team. I am also wondering if they have been careful not to name Sam's condition because it might actually be a side effect of what is happening to him in the Woods. Especially because people would compare his puppet thing to Black Noir and that was all due to a severe head injury.
I think them making a direct comparison to Maeve is intended for us to assume he's as strong as her But his mental instability probably makes him vulnerable
The show has done a pretty good job of masking actual power levels because the supes rarely square off against each other. Homelander and Soldier Boy could both kill the original Black Noir with their bare hands, but Black Noir could literally rip most other supes apart. Sam is likely on the same level as The Deep, Queen Maeve, and the original Black Noir, which makes him stronger than most but still at least one tier below Soldier Boy. The one everyone is sleeping on is the new Black Noir. He's possibly stronger than Homelander, and that was hinted at by Homelander himself, who implied that only the strongest, most worthy supes could fly. That's why it was such a big deal for Starlight to fly, and it's why Homelander was pushing so hard for Ryan to fly.

Its odd to me that this is even a discussion. Its like comparing Black Noir to Homelander. Yeah... Noir has superhuman strength and durability, but nothing compared to Homelander. Homelander put his hand straight through his chest and pulled out Noirs heart, but didn't even bruise Soldier Boy. There's no way a bunch of guys in tack gear would be able to take down Solider Boy. Soldier Boy can cancel powers. He's lethal to supes because even at 25% of his max he still unalives a powerless, human level supe. That hack makes him a nuke for supes.

I’d have assumed Sam was closest to Noir. Especially with the puppet motif used to communicate their broken psyches (something that leads me to believe he’ll become Noir’s successor in TB s4)
I think the longer Sam is away from the woods the stronger Sam will become. The last episode showed them using Sam to boost golden boy and the puppet visions , though hilarious I think it's a side effect of the meds/captivity, Cate brain washing and so on. The longer Sam is not being treated and drugged the stronger he'll get.

We got a good example of how powerful Sam is when Kamiko punched him with all her strength. It didn't phase Sam at all. Go back to season 2 where Kamiko f**ked Stormfront up for a little bit.
Okay, this isn't a question. Soldier Boy is on par with Homelander and Sam is weaker than Maeve. Sam is also supposed to have peaked or near enough to it that God-U was able to easily able to measure his full power and keep in contained without issue. Soldier Boy on the other hand has to be kept comatose with a constant dose of the most lethal nerve gas around because if he wakes up they don't have a cell on earth that can hold him. So, no Sam isn't going to grow to SB level without MAJOR plot shenanigans and a handful of Mcguffins because that would also make him the next Homelander.
My supe knowledge is kind of lacking but if I made a list of the strongest supes (mix of strength and fighting ability) I'd probably make it (not including Butcher since we haven't seen a lot from the new power) 1. Homelander 2. Soldier Boy 3. Queen Maeve 4. Black Noir 5. Sam I think Sam is stronger than Noir physically by a lot and stronger than Maeve by a little but Noir and Maeve beats him easily in combat skill
I think Sam is roughly equal to Noir, but if we want to be generous, close to maeve. But Soldier boy is proven to be stronger than Noir by quite a bit, and at least slightly above maeve.
Well Soldier boy would win because he have more battle experience but if Sam gets battle experience he could be a real menace and second we still don't know if his strength is his only power but the mental illness makes it hard for him to use
I just have to stand by the fact that Soldier Boy is the strongest supe. He is durable enough to take a beating from any other supe, and he can charge his nuke in like 10-15 seconds tops, which will just take their powers away or fry them to a crisp.
I'm going to have to see more from Sam before I could compare him to the likes of Homelander and Solder Boy. Right now he just seems similar to Kimiko or maybe Queen Mave without the training. Seems every super has some level of super strength and durability in The Boys universe. It shouldn't be this way because it makes everyone with only these powers seem underwhelming.

He went straight through everyone of them to get to Kate. Even when Marie hit him with the blood rope he was smart enough to defend by just twisting back the other way to completely counter it. I’m starting to really believe he isn’t crazy and what ever they have been doing to him has his mind fractured. I’m hoping we get a same badass Sam. He is definitely the funniest character on the show with some of the shit that comes out of his mouth.
Soldier Boy is a supe with military background, combat training and experience fighting other supes, Sam is strong sure but unstable, if that strength were to be channeled and focused, then he'd been in the mix with the big dogs.
If the super strength works as an “increased muscles density-capability” then Sam could be way stronger than he is after being kept frail and skinny in the Woods. He could get to lifting boulders and cars and get more meat on his bones he could definitely compete with the top dogs.
Unless he's invulnerable, SB would win, easily. Thing is, SB isn't just strong he's also invulnerable. Sam's blows would do nothing whereas SB's punches would be causing actual damage.

Not to mention it took the world's strongest neurotoxin to even knock SB out... Sam gets knocked unconscious by a basic stun baton. SB would destroy him. When it comes to the supes it's pretty clear Homelander and Soldier Boy are a well defined step above everyone else. People are really hyping up Sam just because he has super strength, he's not on the level of the 2nd strongest Supe alive who was already known to be far above everyone else when he was number 1.
Homelander is the epitome of power within the series, still by far the strongest. Soldier Boy could easily come up second since he was able to go toe-to-toe with him and did it even better than Queen Maeve who was seen as the next strongest before him. Sam is incredibly powerful, but I don't see him surpassing those top 3.
Tactics would get sam in this 1, not raw power. Like, if they literally went blow for blow till 1 couldn't continue, sam may very well be stronger. Soldier boy has combat toughness but Sam's been legit tortured for years; no chance he'd not relatively match that toughness.
Soldier Boy would probably solo the whole of GenV , he was soloing Butcher (can hang with Homelander) , Starlight and Kimiko, i don't see why he could not solo GenV , Andre was especially arrogant to think he can shit talk SB lol , with his durability i think 1 hit from SB would finish him off
This is the basis for the boys…the idea that the supes are so strong and famous….yet sooooo fucked up in the head. And the contrast between homelander and butcher, actual proving them more and more alike is what drives the story.
Sam is strong for sure, but that’s it. he doesn’t have the training or experience that Soldier Boy does. his super strength and durability also seem to be the full extent of his abilities. he doesn’t have any additional things like lasers or flight. then again, he’s young and has been in captivity for a long time, so there’s possibly some untapped powers yet to be revealed.

I think Sam is going to be new Black Noir in new season. I am not sure Black Noir is dead but Homelander doesnt let join him to Seven again. Also in the comics black noir is a clone of homelander and Sam has got powers in a lab like Homelander.

Sam is also weak against electricity and gas. Soldier Boy seemed immune to almost all gasses, with only a vapor nerve gas harming him. Soldier Boy wins.

Soldier Boy is near Homelander level, Sam is near Queen Maeve level. Anything Sam does, Soldier boy does better. Soldier boy is more Durable, Strong, Jump power, Reaction time, Fast, and has more destructive capabilities. Soldier Boy wipes the floor with Sam.
Soldier Boy is above Homelander in terms of power level since Soldier Boy can always disable other supes powers. Sam would not win. Soldier boy would simply disble his powers then kill Sam.

We are told the Luke would have been "homelander strong" and Sam is even stronger then Luke that means older Sam would likely be above Soldier Boy in terms of raw strength so soldier boy would have to rely on the radiation blast to win.

@@solaire07 flying speed is actually a really good advantage. Homelander didn’t capitalize on it as much as he should’ve. I’m assuming due to the budget of the show they couldn’t but flying speed is def a strong feat.
I think Sam’s powers are very all over the place because of his schizophrenia, and if he could learn to control himself and get his mental state under control he’d be able to do WAY more damage. All that, AND he’s still only a kid. It probably makes sense that Supe’s powers get stronger with age sort of like puberty, so tbh I could definitely see Sam putting up at least somewhat of a fight against someone like Soldier Boy ( maybe not Homelander yet) in the future. Every scene of his strength has shown that he rips through people like pieces of paper, VERY similar to Homelander and Soldier Boy. It would be so dope to get a third individual who’s considered overwhelmingly dangerous to the public because of how powerful they are, and maybe even someone who isn’t a sociopath or narcissist like we’ve seen twice now.

An interesting note about soldier boy is i think he's stronger than we realize. When utilizing his blast it seems to weaken him for a little while. He's always limping and staggering after. When he went up against homelander it was right after using it so he seemed already exhausted but still strong enough to throw homelander around and even stalemate at certain moments. When he was at full strength he was rag dolling every single supe who came at him. An interesting note about Sam is i don't think he's grown into his powers yet. He's 18 or 19 and constantly plagued by schizophrenia. I wonder what he'd be like in his physical prime at 21 and absolutely pushing his limits. Not far behind queen Maeve i reckon if not already on par.

Sam does well against regular joes. But Polarity and other sups seem to subdue him pretty quick...I don't think that would be the case with soldier boy.

I have a theory that Sam will become Black Noir. It would fit perfectly if Sam goes missing at the end of the season. Then we could see the new Seven introduced, and Homelander would be shocked to see that Black Noir is back. Homelander might try to roughen up Noir, but he wouldn't get far. Noir’s mask would have a layer of Zinc that prevents anyone from seeing his face. Homelander would see that Noir also seems to be even stronger than before, so It could be an almost equal match for him.

Sam is a Soldier Boy/Black Noir type character. All of his powers come from physical capabilities, or at least those we've seen so far. Whether he would defeat Soldier Boy or not would depend on the state in which Soldier Boy would be found, because on the contrary he is a much better fighter than Sam. Still, Sam is just as brutal as Homelander and so I don't doubt he would put up a good fight.
Yeah but as of now Soldier boy is far more durable and far stronger. They were able to keep Sam strapped down to a table and pierce his back with a needle. They also were able to contain him in a metal room and keep him there against his will. He got out when Emma killed the guard Greg. They also tased him into submission.
The Russians had to keep soldier boy heavily sedated, locked down with steel clamps and shackles.

Homelander also wasn't noticeably stronger than soldier boy. He got the upper hand on him in thier first fight but that was right after SB depleted all his energy blowing up herogasm. SB was still confident enough he could take Homelander to go and try and kill him. Homelander is probably stronger but it's not by large amount. Both would bury Sam.
Sam at his peak is probably Maeve/stormfront in strength but Homelander and SB are on another level. Sam probably gets killed by Marie in the finale.

I also don't think Stormfront was as strong as Maeve. Kamiko and Starlight were able to stager her with punches and kicks. Kamiko almost broke her neck until she was shocked. She seemed about Black Noir in strength as well but has that powerful electricity.
i think it is very soon to compare sam to other supes because we still don't know how powerful sam really is or how powerful marie really is after we watch end of the series then we can talk about (who would win) because for now we only know sam has superhuman strength +durability

as much as i love sam, i really dont think he's that much of a powerhouse, and i think the only reason why its been so hard for the group to subdue him is because their lack of experience/weaker skill set, and because of how unpredictable sam can be. But if sam were to go up against practically any supe from The Boys, i feel like they could subdue/incapacitate him pretty easily. So, its not really a question of how strong he is, but really how much weaker/inexperienced his opponents are in comparison.

The gas that knocks out Soldier Boy might be the same gas that knocked out San in episode 1 when he escaped. The soldiers gassed him with something while Andre pinned him with the car. They were even using the same delivery system we saw mother's milk use on soldier boy.
As for strength, it's pretty clear that Sam is about on Maeve's level.
Also I think people are underestimating just how strong and durable Emma is. Even tiny she can survive fighting with ants without a scratch, she can jump off the equivalent of a 20 story building and land on her feet just fine, she can even tunnel her way through a guy's skull and that's while she's TINY. Now when she giant sized her strength and durability is probably more greatly enhanced. I think she truly held Sam down because she had similar strength, superior mass and leverage. I think she might even be as strong as homelander. We just don't know because she's been so ashamed of using her powers in a serious way and only used her giant power twice in her life. I don't think her powers are based on calorie intake and outtake though. I think that's a psychological weakness she developed because of her mom's mental abuse growing up. It would be too hard to regulate her calories to keep a specific height especially given how quickly they portrayed intake of calories effecting her. I feel like she would have accidentally ingested too many calories fairly often and enlarged. Plus her shrink and enlarge powers make her caloric absorption work in opposite ways which is impossible. We see her enlarge within seconds of eating pasta but somehow the rest of the time her body doesn't absorb calories very fast as she can purge her stomach content even hours after eating. This strongly suggests it's psychological and that in her mind she views purging as being associated with her shrinking power and binge eating/overeating being associated her growth power because that's the psychological damage her mom created in her with her body shaming her eating all her life. Hopefully she overcomes that psychological limitation because she's the most interesting character by far and I'd love to see her become a hero.

Sam was tortured in the woods and what he only became by the ending of gen v, was just a monster. There is no way of Sam surpassing him as of current situations., given the fact that Sam has no self thinking power and does what only influences him temporarily. Besides, I think Sam will die in upcoming seasons, judging from the way his character growth is going.

Till we see more of Sam, soldier boy no diffs him. Soldier boy is stated lots of times to be on homelanders league of power and can possibly even kill homelander, soldier is in contention of being in the top 2 supes in the verse. Going by the fact Sam was having trouble against a bunch of college students and we actually seen a needle get used on him which shows he isn't fully invincible I don't think there is any to stop soldier from one punching him.

Sam’s mind has been so muddled thanks to cate that his powers which we don’t even know what they are have been hindered now he is free and probably going to get trained and help from Emma i cannot wait to see what becomes of Sam and Marie those 2 I think are the most powerful that haven’t reached their full potential or strength yet.
Marie has the opportunity to develop into a blood witch being able to silently control anyone at her will so this could be the best power of them all

soldier boy is a better fighter, has better physical stats, resistance to sam's weaknesses (electricity, gas), and a nuclear blast though in a one on one it likely won't make a difference since he doesn't get the opportunity to charge it up

I suspect the one thing really going in Sam's favor too is that, well, he isn't an asshole and as soon as they remember him, he will have a support team that won't betray him to get rid of him.
I also think his appearance next week is a Sam hallucination. Like what happened with the puppet and then the team rallying around him cause his hallucination to age up a bit. And he seems to like Payback as a team.
I am also wondering if they have been careful not to name Sam's condition because it might actually be a side effect of what is happening to him in the Woods. Especially because people would compare his puppet thing to Black Noir and that was all due to a severe head injury.

Not even close, Sam is comparable to child homelander who is above someone like Blue Hawk. He is near black noir in power
The show has done a pretty good job of masking actual power levels because the supes rarely square off against each other. Homelander and Soldier Boy could both kill the original Black Noir with their bare hands, but Black Noir could literally rip most other supes apart. Sam is likely on the same level as The Deep, Queen Maeve, and the original Black Noir, which makes him stronger than most but still at least one tier below Soldier Boy.
The one everyone is sleeping on is the new Black Noir. He's possibly stronger than Homelander, and that was hinted at by Homelander himself, who implied that only the strongest, most worthy supes could fly. That's why it was such a big deal for Starlight to fly, and it's why Homelander was pushing so hard for Ryan to fly.

Its odd to me that this is even a discussion. Its like comparing Black Noir to Homelander. Yeah... Noir has superhuman strength and durability, but nothing compared to Homelander. Homelander put his hand straight through his chest and pulled out Noirs heart, but didn't even bruise Soldier Boy. There's no way a bunch of guys in tack gear would be able to take down Solider Boy. Hell, a room full of supers couldn't take down soldier boy without poisoning him. Sam is contained by concrete walls. Soldier boy would tear through those walls like paper. The whole payback squad attacked soldier boy at once and almost got wrecked. Solider boy and supe Hugie and supe Billy attacked Homelander at once and it was a tough fight. Golden boy doesn't stand a chance. Sam doesn't stand a chance. None of these kids stand a chance. They are like the blind ninja dude homelander ear clapped. Soldier Boy can cancel powers. He's lethal to supes because even at 25% of his max he still unalives a powerless, human level supe. That hack makes him a nuke for supes.
Soldier Boy needs a hefty dose of that novachuck gas before he falls, so he has some resistance to it.
It seems most sups get some level of super STR so i guess thats like a default feature their organism gets when combined with V

I think the longer Sam is away from the woods the stronger Sam will become. The last episode showed them using Sam to boost golden boy and the puppet visions , though hilarious I think it's a side effect of the meds/captivity, Cate brain washing and so on. The longer Sam is not being treated and drugged the stronger he'll get.
Cate's "forget" powers don't work on Sam.

Okay, this isn't a question. Soldier Boy is on par with Homelander and Sam is weaker than Maeve. Sam is also supposed to have peaked or near enough to it that God-U was able to easily able to measure his full power and keep in contained without issue. Soldier Boy on the other hand has to be kept comatose with a constant dose of the most lethal nerve gas around because if he wakes up they don't have a cell on earth that can hold him. So, no Sam isn't going to grow to SB level without MAJOR plot shenanigans and a handful of Mcguffins because that would also make him the next Homelander.
Soldier Boy and Sam spin off series folks. Would be great. Two guys adapting to the new world they’ve missed.
My supe knowledge is kind of lacking but if I made a list of the strongest supes (mix of strength and fighting ability) I'd probably make it (not including Butcher since we haven't seen a lot from the new power)

4. Black Noir
5. Sam
I think Sam is stronger than Noir physically by a lot and stronger than Maeve by a little but Noir and Maeve beats him easily in combat skill
I think Sam is roughly equal to Noir, but if we want to be generous, close to maeve. But Soldier boy is proven to be stronger than Noir by quite a bit, and at least slightly above maeve.
Well Soldier boy would win because he have more battle experience but if Sam gets battle experience he could be a real menace and second we still don't know if his strength is his only power but the mental illness makes it hard for him to use

I just have to stand by the fact that Soldier Boy is the strongest supe. He is durable enough to take a beating from any other supe, and he can charge his nuke in like 10-15 seconds tops, which will just take their powers away or fry them to a crisp.
I'm going to have to see more from Sam before I could compare him to the likes of Homelander and Solder Boy. Right now he just seems similar to Kimiko or maybe Queen Mave without the training. Seems every super has some level of super strength and durability in The Boys universe. It shouldn't be this way because it makes everyone with only these powers seem underwhelming.

He went straight through everyone of them to get to Kate. Even when Marie hit him with the blood rope he was smart enough to defend by just twisting back the other way to completely counter it. I’m starting to really believe he isn’t crazy and what ever they have been doing to him has his mind fractured. I’m hoping we get a same badass Sam. He is definitely the funniest character on the show with some of the shit that comes out of his mouth.
Soldier Boy is a supe with military background, combat training and experience fighting other supes, Sam is strong sure but unstable, if that strength were to be channeled and focused, then he'd been in the mix with the big dogs.
If the super strength works as an “increased muscles density-capability” then Sam could be way stronger than he is after being kept frail and skinny in the Woods. He could get to lifting boulders and cars and get more meat on his bones he could definitely compete with the top dogs.
Soldier boy's dialogue is enough to kill Sam.
Unless he's invulnerable, SB would win, easily.
Thing is, SB isn't just strong he's also invulnerable. Sam's blows would do nothing whereas SB's punches would be causing actual damage.

Not to mention it took the world's strongest neurotoxin to even knock SB out... Sam gets knocked unconscious by a basic stun baton. SB would destroy him. When it comes to the supes it's pretty clear Homelander and Soldier Boy are a well defined step above everyone else.
People are really hyping up Sam just because he has super strength, he's not on the level of the 2nd strongest Supe alive who was already known to be far above everyone else when he was number 1.
Homelander is the epitome of power within the series, still by far the strongest. Soldier Boy could easily come up second since he was able to go toe-to-toe with him and did it even better than Queen Maeve who was seen as the next strongest before him. Sam is incredibly powerful, but I don't see him surpassing those top 3.

Just watched the finale and he completely no sold Kimiko
Sam is strong for sure, but that’s it. he doesn’t have the training or experience that Soldier Boy does. his super strength and durability also seem to be the full extent of his abilities. he doesn’t have any additional things like lasers or flight. then again, he’s young and has been in captivity for a long time, so there’s possibly some untapped powers yet to be revealed.

I think Sam is going to be new Black Noir in new season. I am not sure Black Noir is dead but Homelander doesnt let join him to Seven again. Also in the comics black noir is a clone of homelander and Sam has got powers in a lab like Homelander.
