Vanilla Sponge Cake | No Egg, No Butter, No Maida Cake | How to make Perfect Moist Vanilla Cake

    In this video, I have shown how to make simple vanilla sponge cake. It comes out so perfect and super moist. This is Eggless vanilla cake recipe. Sometimes you can put this cake in kid’s lunch box also. Using this recipe, you can make basic simple cake which can be further decorate with icing or butter cream frosting. I have used here whole wheat flour but you can use all-purpose flour/Maida also instead of that.
    This sponge vanilla cake tastes delicious. So, do try this homemade vanilla cake this Christmas as a treat for your loved ones and let me know how it turned out for you by commenting below.
    Ingredients:
    Plain yogurt - 1 cup
    Powdered sugar - ¾ cup
    Baking powder - 1 tsp
    Baking soda - ½ tsp
    Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
    Oil - ½ cup
    Wheat flour - 1.5 cup
    Butter to grease baking tray
    Procedure:
    1. Preheat oven at 350°F or at 180°C
    2. Now grease the cake tin or pan using some butter and dusting with flour and keep it aside.
    3. Now in a mixing bowl, add yogurt and sugar and beat it to a smooth mixture.
    4. Once done, add baking powder and baking soda and keep mix well.
    5. Now keep the batter idle for 5 minutes. You will see some bubbles are formed on the top of the mixture.
    6. Now, add oil (any cooking oil can be used here) & vanilla extract and mix well or beat again.
    7. Sieve flour and add it to a batter.
    8. Now combine batter well with the flour using cut and fold method.
    9. Transfer the batter into cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Time may vary according to the type of oven.
    10. Now check after 30 minutes by inserting toothpick into center of the cake and if it comes out clean, it means cake is bake completely.
