Tip. When you put a bunch of seeds on the ground and tell a sim to plant one, they will continue to plant all of them. You don't have to tell them to plant each single one.
You don't have to build a greenhouse. One trick I often do, don't hate on me people, I put a floating glass roof above the property so the plants are sheltered out of season, I put it up so high that you can't even see it in gameplay, but you can see the shadow of it 😂 To do this, you build a 1x1 building, and then do a second, third and forth floor up, you can use tall walls to make it higher. Place the roof on top and then delete all the buildings under it... it's the sims, the roof stays up there with no support 😂 It also protects my sims from getting struck by lightning on their own property.
Put the dirty dishes, dirty diapers, bottles, etc into your Sim's personal inventory. Drag them into an empty dumpster on the community lot. It'll refill the dumpster so you can dumpster dive immediately. You can also use the upgrade parts and dyes you find to refill the dumpsters as well.
If you build a square and put a roof on top of it and delete the square it'll still be a shelter then you can just add columns
Lol, I came here to give the same advice. You're right. Just build a square floor, put a roof over it, then delete the square. Just put columns in each corner (purely aesthetic), and the plants will still be "sheltered." You can also make a micro home for faster plant growth. 😊
Or just using a roof with bb.moveobjects and add a door. Then a greenhouse with no floors 😂 then with the walls down you can walk under the roof
Yep, this is literally my rags to riches go to.
Add a micro room and tiny house option. Plants grow twice as fast on a micro lot, relationships, bills, skills etc. Just put the shower in a 4 x 4 room.
I think it’s really sweet that Brody went and supported Jilly! It’s very different to the spoiled teen situation!
Also, maybe try just putting a roof over the plants? I think that would give the greenhouse effect. You just need to add a wall, add the roof, and then just delete the wall.
Shift click set growth stage , the plants reverting to dirt is a known glitch it also happens alot if you use the lot trait great soil. It's been glitched for years much easier to not use that trait and cheat the plant back to where it was.
I had no idea it was the trait that was causing that. Thanks!

I honestly find that it still happens regularly for me even without the lot trait.
If you're on PC, Little Miss. Sam's gardening MOD kepts it from happening as often, too.

When the money tree can be harvested, if you go into Build/Buy Mode and place it into your household inventory, all the money fruit should pop off and be available to drag into the world to be planted. No need for splicing.

Hey! Next time, I have some tips for you!
1. Next time, set your lot type to tiny home residential. Tons of benefits! You learn skills faster, plants grow faster, bills are less costly, etc!
2. I’ve learned that selling each plant one by one, rather then “sell all” - will give you more money!

Also, when you have a baby at the hospital, it comes home with a bassinet, so no need to buy one.
Use tiny living, just place down a single floor tile, though in this case the greenhouse would count. Plants grow twice as fast.

"all of the dogs" 😂 craziest part is that actual real life people will bring their dogs to come "help" with the newborn. Like dogs that have bitten people too.

The plant dying glitch can sometimes be fixed by going into build mode putting the plant in the household inventory then bring it back out. Try to do it quickly as time seems to be a factor in it working or not. It doesn't always fix it but hope it helps someone out there
When the money tree is ready to harvest put it in your household inventory and it gives you more money fruits to plant.
Your idea to place more dumpsters was a good one, you just need to have your Sim throw some thing from their inventory into the dumpster and it will be magically full. And a second everyone else’s note about the roof over the plants. Love this mini series!
You need to put it in the greenhouse because once it’s fully grown it will react to season changes even though it grows all year. All plant do this. It will take 1-2 days to grow back. At least that’s how it works for me. Seasons really ruined gardening. My Money tree would act up almost all the time until I put in in a greenhouse.

Stock up your trash from home in your inventory and put it in the dumpsters. You get all kinds of stuff that way.

there's a second dumpster just behind that lot. When you travel there, zoom out a bit and it should be behind you on the right (or left when facing that way) Also, Geothermal and Natural Springs lot traits really helps to reduce your bills as well, especially when paired with a Tiny Home
You can only take a cut with a higher gardening level
You could always have her do fishing, it’s not as much money but it can be something. Plus, if you put them on a tiny home lot, with the smallest size it’ll increase their skills quickly if they’re a place to fish that’s close enough that they don’t have to leave their lot.

If you save your plates, dishes, and trash after they eat, then take them with you. When you dumpster dive, you can replenish the dumpster and clean out your dishes and trash at the same time. I do this with my eco rags to riches playthroughs.

There are like 3 dumpsters in that area. One on the lot, one kinda acrossed the street and there’s also one down a bit at a dead end road. All relatively close.
Get the better gardening mod by LittleMissSam. That fixes the gardening bug which you're having. When you take the cutting from the money tree, graft it to a plant outside that grows quickly and is in season. You will only need the one cutting that way.
Sage grows year-round, so if you get a few of those and take a cutting of the money tree every few days, you can get a permanent cash garden

If you store money tree in inventory when it needs to be harvested. The money fruit will be in the inventory

tip use lemon trees or trash plants or both just if use trash plants stick them off in far corner of lot
also great soil asp is sometimes bugged out and makes plants return to dirt piles

Hey, I know this has nothing to do with the specific video... But! If you want to avoid having the welcome wagon, all you need to do is go into the build mode after you move in, go to lot traits, and pick private property. Then you won't get any welcome wagon and possibly any visitors unless you invite them over. But that might give them a loophole to give them indirect permission to show up unannounced. Side note if you click the door you could baby proof or something like that so the babies won't just go outside. I don't know if that just comes with a mod or the Sims pack itself. but... Good Luck! You can put the „cheap“ items in the bins and then they‘ll be full again and you can dive for more treasures :D

Instead of a full Greenhouse you can just put a roof over the plants like a pavilion or use the pavilion things from the buy menu.

Put the money tree in your inventory when it’s time to harvest and I think you will collect the money fruit instead of simoleons.

Make sure to take your dirty dishes with you to put in the dumpsters, that’ll fill them up again for dumpster diving!

hey everyone if someone is reading this is it worth to get outdoor retreat? I have snowy escape but even with tents I dont feel as if im camping. I like family gameplays and rags to riches thanks
If you have any other pack that has a pee bush, I would say that Outdoor Retreat shouldn't be at the top of your wishlist. It adds a cooler that you can get quick meals from, and sleeping bags and tents, but most of the value is in the vacation destination

@@KatinhoseTuelhinhos For rags to riches, honestly werewolves was surprisingly rich and interesting. There is a pee bush, you can level up werewolf skill to sleep anywhere, and a werewolf can dig anywhere and might find treasure (again, after levelling up). It adds a level of chaos that isn't everyone's cup of tea but the CAS and BB are good for a "scruffy out to make their fortune" narrative

That’s a new stage that was added to the base game back in March. Babies now go from babies in the crib > infant > toddler > child etc.

@@cotton664it’s not a mod it’s on the base game now so anyone can have a baby that’s like that there are some features like getting it to roll over and hold it’s head up that comes with the growing together pack but in general anyone can play with a baby like that
