Perfect, but I would probably add some cream cheese to the icing.
That would be great
I was about to say the same thing.
There’s always one. 🤣😂🤣. Yeah cream cheese could be on potato chips if I ran the world.
Omg😮. Wonderful.
@@Donna-cc1kt Nothing wrong with saying add cream cheese.
Thank you it looks delicious 😋😋😋 I love pecans so I’ll be adding pecans to mine!! Blessings 🙌🏻🤗🙏🏻
Magic of grandma's cinnamon rolls is in putting the butter + brown sugar + cream mixture on the bottom of the pan, then laying the cinnamon rolls on top. When the baked rolls are tipped out, the goo has been melded with the rolls, soft and irresistible. The only place I have tasted them other than my family recipe is at a wonderful bakery in Maui.
Would you please share your recipe? I would love to try it
I can almost taste "apple slices" in there (somewhere).
Is there a recipe 🎉
Are you talking about mixing all that with the heavy cream and having it on the bottom? What about pouring on top? I'm making cinnamon rolls for the first time in 2 days, I'd love them to be extra special! Anyone's help is appreciated. I feel this man's recipe is good but can always be improved on if you get grandma's involved!
@@saltygirl764 I only poured the cream on the bottom around the rolls .then used table spoon and put the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture on top .cover tightly with foil mine took bout 40 minutes I used 2 cans of regular size one of each flavor original and cream cheese 13 *9 pan they turned out unbelievable neighbors waiting for more 🤣
I make mine like that, but I use a little cream cheese in the icing with some confectioners sugar, a pinch of sea salt, a little vanilla and some orange zest.
Omg zest makes everything so much better!! 😋
😅
Sounds amazing ❤😊
I can just picture that with fresh diced apples or walnuts on top or even possibly with raisins. 😊
Put the icing on with a silicone pastry brush, works like a dream
I was thinking the same thing. Jim needs a brush!
You have done it! My husband is eating one of the rolls right now. He LOVES it. I am now elevated above Queen Bee when all I really wanted was to make my husband happy. They are very delicious. Going to take one over to my son tomorrow. Might as well get all the lovin’ I can! Thank you so very much. You have a good way about you.
Thanks for your support
A heart attack waiting!😂
Oh my heavens!❤️😍 Thank you! I have 5 grandkids here most of the summer! They will love you for this!

I just watched your video and my mouth is watering wishing I had one of those yummy cinnamon rolls!! I will definitely make these for family and friends❤Thank You!!!
This recipe is nice. It removes the hardest part of making the dough and rolling it to where you just take already preformed dough and supercharge it with brown sugar, butter, and cream. Ditching the packaged icing and replacing it with homemade! Nice.
And chopped pecans would top it off😋
@@WVfreebirdtoasted!
I prefer cream cheese icing with chopped walnuts😊
@@geraldinepare6551Cream cheese icing is overrated as far as I'm concerned.
What size was your glass pan?
Thank you so much for this wonderful twist on store bought “simmamum” rolls as my kid used to say it when he was little. It looks amazing and I bet it tastes twice as good. My doctor would give me an elbow if she saw me eating it but would probably do sharesies😆. Thank you, sir, have a great day, stay well! ✌️
I've seen this hack done before but you're the first one I've seen add the sugar & spice mixture and the other extras. That makes more sense to me. Those rolls get so big, so you need more.
Thanks for posting this! Definitely trying it. Will let you know when I do 👍.
thank you
Of course their good!!! Never saw a taste tester for their own recipe say the food was bad!! Lol but simply love love love cinnamon rolls warm w a cup of coffee!!! Yum!
You make it look so easy and fast too! Thank you, they look delicious
Hi Tim, this is the first time I came across you on CZcams. Thanks for the super great cinnamon roll hack. I subscribed because I felt that you were a very warm, authentic person. So I look forward to seeing more of your videos. 💜🌺

Exactly why I'm a new person to his channel
@musespirit. I was thinking the same thing about Tim. So warm and genuine that I subscribed. Not to mention those cinnamon rolls look DE-LISH!
Those rolls look amazing will make them this weekend
They look so good
OMG! That looks absolutely scrumptious! Thanks for sharing this recipe! ♡
Thanks so much. Love what you did. Will make this weekend for Easter.
That looks really good! I added it to my recipe playlist to try later! I love cinnamon rolls!
Awesome Jim! Thank you… the recipe is straightforward and yummy❤
Probably shouldn't be saying this but Cinnabon adds a little Nutmeg in their rolls to give them their signature flavor. Might work if you lightly dust yours with it too.
I plan on giving this recipe a try when the grandkids visit next.
Love cinnamon rolls you made them with love 💙✨
And 🤗Love tastes so good!💙💫
They look so good. Made my mouth water.
That looks so delicious. Thanks for sharing it and for sharing your tips, which look fantastic.
Wow this is great idea ! Thank you
Great recipe & I'm gonna try it when visiting my son & his family. My daughter in law always makes her dough but I think she'll be very pleased with this recipe. I'm gonna add walnuts or pecans along with a little cream cheese! Thank you for helping me please everyone!😂
So so excited and cannot wait to make these!! ☺️🤗😀🌟✨ Thank you so much for sharing this with us!!:-)
Thanks for your support
I have not read all the comments, but just in case--in your WRITTEN directions you forgot to mention that it is the heavy cream that comes 1/2 way up the sides. Can't wait to have company. Thanks for your hard work.
Suggestion- cut the last 2 rolls in half, and lay them right down the middle of the right rolls....... That's how my Mom taught us how to do this recipe 😊
Can't wait to make these! I've done them from scratch for years but these look great!
I’ve made these cinnamon rolls for work occasions and for family breakfast treats. This Christmas season I’ve made a dozen pans of these and gave to my neighbors. They’re scrumptious and easy to make. Thank you for the recipe.
Looks amazing! Will have to try!
Mmmm yum! Can't wait to try. Thank you!!!
Yuuuuuuuummmmy!!!
😋❤
I finally made these yesterday and they were amazing. I may have used a little too much of the heavy cream, I tad soggy but not enough to keep us from going back for more! Great hack and so easy.
Yours look amazing! I made them last weekend for a family gathering and everyone wanted the recipe!
love love love cinnamon rolls, but the idea of making the dough myself stops me from enjoying - this is a game changer - thank you for sharing
My mouth is watering!!! I do love cinnamon rolls!
That looks decadently delicious. Can't wait to try it.
Thank you Jim. You are a sweet man and sincerity goes a long way. It is nice to encounter people like you.
God bless you and yours...thanks for your support.
Love this!
Looks delicious and easy to make Thank you yummy
The Pillsbury Rolls just didn't do it for me, but I was always too intimidated to make them from scratch. This is a perfect solution! Thank you so much!!!
You can make cinnamon rolls without yeast using a biscuit mix. I can bake anything as long as it's not with yeast :) I'm def going to try this though!
Agree. They taste like chemicals and texture is gummy
I didn't enjoy the Pillsbury Rolls either. I'd rather spend the time and make my own from scratch.
100%! Why not do it right and not waste the other ingredients. I just don’t think canned dough is gonna cut it in my house.
Of course I make bread (never buy store bought bread), so I would do it from scratch.
The only downfall with homemade bread is it doesn’t last long. I always freeze what isn’t being used right away. I learned what “day old” bread is!
Looks amazing!! Thank you
Looks too awesome, must try!
Love the tile work above your stove!
I like them without icing. When I go to the mall, I ask when the next batch will be coming out and instruct them to take four out and box them up without icing.
I agree. Much too sweet with the icing.
Love the tiled artwork behind you with the friar in it. Cool!
Use a whisk, it's faster and makes it smoother without all the clumps of powdered sugar. Distribute it with a piping bag.
Looks great!
Looks delicious!
looks fantastic
Thank you for sharing I like to try this ❤👍
Thanks for sharing!!!🤩
Thank you, can’t wait to try this recipe.😊
Great video, looks delicious - I will try this.
That tile mosaic is a work of art!
Wow looks decadent!!!
Great hack on this recipe!!!

This looks awesome!!!
I will definitely need to try this!!!
Can’t wait to try this recipe. My husband loves cinnamon rolls, and you have just made it a lot easier for me. They look absolutely delicious! Thank you for all of your helpful tips! 😊 I am now a new subscriber.
Where's the recipe, though?
@@SharonWallace-wu5uwclick on the description scroll down click on the word more 👍🏻
@@SharonWallace-wu5uw you don't need a recipe, just do what he did.....2 cartons of cinnamon rolls, Lay them out into a buttered pan , (looks like a 9x13 pan), pour enough heavy cream over them to come half way up on the cinnamon rolls and cover the top, then in another bowl put 1 stick melted butter, 3/4 c. brown sugar , couple dahses of cinnamon and a teas. of sea salt, mix together, pour over cinnamon rolls, top with foil really tight, bake for 45 min. in a preheated 350 degree oven. After 45 min. take foil off and bake 10 more minutes. Take out, Let cool very well. In a bowl add 1/3 stick of butter (melted), 2 tbl. heavy cream, a drop of vanilla, mix well, add about 3 heaping tbl. powdered sugar, mix then add a tiny bit of powdered sugar and heavy cream in increments until you have a creamy icing. Drizzle it over the top of the cinnamon rolls, making sure to spread it to the edges. cut a piece and eat it.
This is so much like Big Mama's biscuit pie. When we didn't have much for dessert this was so good.
That looks delicious!
I've made these a couple of times.
Delish!
Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Much appreciated
🙂
Thank you for your support...big hug
❤🎉Absolutely 💯 Scrumptious.
Hi Jim. Just came across you and this recipe. Definitely going to try making this. After watching your video, I subscribed. Love your easy going manner and voice. I'll be looking forward to more of your videos. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us. 😊
Looks soooo good! I would forego the icing though - too sweet. Thanks for sharing!
Omg! I made these wonderful cinnamon rolls and they are amazing!! Literally the best rolls I've ever made. Thank you for sharing!!
Thanks for your support
I would put the icing in sandwich bag, cut tip off corner, squeeze over rolls. Will definitely try.
Love this recipe. I subscribed to your channel. Can’t wait to see more of your recipes!! Thanks! 😊
Regular salt brings out the flavor, too. I remember my mom saying you can't get anything sweet without salt. But sea salt is no better - and it doesn't have iodine in it - and they charge more for it. Sodium is sodium - and the iodine is needed for the thyroid. Looks like a great recipe. I wouldn't use the icing that comes with the rolls though. that stuff is awful
Thanks it looks delicious. I will remember that about sea salt.
Learn something new everyday… looks so dang good. Going to make ! Thank you
Thanks for your support
Looks great going to try.
Thank you sir for a perfect recipe.

Hi Jim in Mexico! I just joined your channel! Thes cinnamon rolls look amazing! I think I will make them soon! Thank you for the recipe! I think I just gained 5 pounds just from watching you make these!!!
You could also add the icing that comes with the dough to your icing and have a little more icing covering the rolls.
Can't wait to try 😊
Looks delicious👍
looks so delicious
I made these tonight for our small party. I used store bought cream cheese frosting then topped with crushed pecans. They were a BIG hit!
Thank you for sharing that looks so delicious yummy ❤👍👏😋🙏

Sir, you did a wonderful job...never thought those cinnamon rolls in the can would look so yummy 😋 I can almost smell it through my phone, ha ha...I thought maybe a fork to drizzle on the icing, but hey to each their own...
Happy Baking and thank you for sharing this idea of cinnamon rolls your way...YUM! 😋
Thanks for your support.
Looks so good ❤❤
Interesting way to make the icing. I need to try that recipe.

Add broken pecans to the toping😊before baking and they get toasted oh so good
May I make a suggestion? I discovered this cinnamon roll hack about four or five months ago, and since then I've made these no less than 8 times. One thing I discovered is the Walmart Great Value Cinnamon Rolls are SOOOOO much tastier than the Pillsbury ones. Yes, they are much smaller, but two cans fills a large casserole dish, and when they bake they puff up and get huge. Also, and this is the most important point I'm making, what REALLY makes these rolls taste amazing is the sauce it creates, so in this case, you really can't have too much of a good thing. So create enough sauce to spoon over the rolls when you're serving them, is I use 1 and 1/4 stick of butter, one whole cup of brown sugar, a teaspoon of cinnamon, a PINCH of salt, because I'm already using salted butter. A whole teaspoons seems like way too much to me, but each to their own. Also, when I pour the heavy cream over the rolls, I pour enough cream so it comes up barely over the tops of the rolls. Don't worry, the rolls are going to more than triple in size and rise well above the level of the sauce anyway. Once you try these you're going to realize you want as much of that incredible caramel sauce as you can get to spoon over top of your cinnamon roll when you're eating them. The sauce is the real magic, so like I said, in this case you truly can't have too much of that good thing.
I used to use frozen bread dough which disappeared in out stores. Now I’m having trouble finding heavy whipping cream. Good grief. Thank you. I’ll try it the best I can.
Thank you for sharing
Enjoyed this very much… thanks will be making today!!! 🎉❤

When i make these rolls i make cream cheese frosting keeping it in fridge. Covering the rolls as i go. Unless there all going to be eaten. I'll cover them all right away.
You have the best video on this 👍🏻 Others just not making them right n don't look like yours. I make these now thanks to your awesome video 🎉
