- I recently spent two incredible nights in Ypres, Belgium. I stayed at Main Street Boutique Hotel which was the cutest hotel ever!

I loved exploring the historical town in West Flanders and did a Ypres Salient Battlefield Tour on the second day. I had such a great time there and I can't wait to return to Belgium to explore more. Check out my previous video for my time in Bruges!

This is a really beautiful video. A special place, I'd love to visit. I love Belgium for its variety of cultures, languages and landscapes. As far as war memorials are concerned: Two years ago I spent some holidays on the German-Belgian border in Monschau, where you could see a memorial for the fallen German soldiers from town - something that had been a taboo for two long as we are conscious about being the "bad guys". It was a soul-shiverering experience as we also got to see the same kind of memorials only a few km further west for the soldiers on the other side. Just to imagine that they were possibly shooting at each other and one on the one side may have caused the death of one on the other, often eightteen year old guys who in other times would have shared the same passion for girls, motorbikes and singers. It leaves you behind with a terrible feeling of silence.
As an native Belgian who lives near Ypres it is happy to see that u guys like the Belgian culture and like to explore it the chose of the war monuments are good especially Hill 62 that i saw u guys doing and the Menen poort i hope u would like to come back
Hi, just returned from Ypres a couple of days ago , we actually stayed next door to this hotel. Absolutely superb experience. I was part of The Republic of Ireland District Royal British Legion.🇬🇧🇧🇪🇮🇪
Nice to see my hometown in your vlogs!
We all have our own opinions but if anyone stays at the hotel in this video then about 5 minutes walk away from the square is the Ramparts cemetery and should be on your list of places to visit. Also the Kazematten brewery is also only a few minutes walk away. This is the home of Wipers Times beer. Brewery tours are possible some days but have to be booked. Walking from the brewery towards the Menin Gate you will find a bar in the casements.
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
