#POV : You take the NSEWL’s newest train to see an old train get scrapped
C151Adv films a mini vlog, where the video shows a very contrasting effect to ride on one of the newest R151 trains (7th generation) that would be replacing the old first 3 generation trains (KHI C151, SIE C651 and KNS C751B), to see that one of the retiring old trains soon to be scrap metal.
It’s been a great honour to travel with these first 3-gen trains as they are about to retire from service sooner than we think, less than 3 years time till 2026 - the expected target to retire all first 3-gen trains.
Electrical Multiple Unit (EMU) 044, marks the first ever train scrapping ever since the successor train, Alstom R151, made its service debut on the NSEWL network. This train would also hold the record of only 14 days of non-service days following its retirement and scrapping, up from a month previously.

true, probably because:
- it’s an SMRT based ad, likely follow-up actions with the affected set not needed before scrapping
- not that they are going to use this train’s ad and paste it back on another train
- (redundant ad)
