I really like the ergonomics of the Coast Slayer and how it has a forward finger choil and side cutouts for enhanced grip👍 I also like how it has two large easy to access buttons instead of a side switch. If the Coast Slayer had a moonlight mode(0.5 lumens) and a strobe mode, it would have been the best all-around EDC flashlight ever👍 Hopefully Coast will eventually make a Slayer 2.0 with an additional moonlight and strobe modes🙏

Been using the coast for about a month as a mechanic every day and it is great. No issues at all.

my streamlight wedge also looks like that. You only that kind of wear from everyday use. I love it.

Yeah the wedge is one of my all-time favorites. I put it through hell and it still works just like the first day I got it.

Does it have a lock out mode?

How are buttons holding up so far w daily use ? I ordered this, had the wedge light given to me by job but gave it to a family member drunk 😂 ordered this and hoping for amazing results

So far so good. I've used it all this week in place of my wedge. It's literally the same size and shape as the wedge. So easy transition.
The buttons are gonna be a long term test. If there will be a problem it's gonna be several months down the line - if the rubber gets compromised. But hopefully they hold up.

Needs a hat bill clip or its a no go for me. They all have missed the mark on that one. One or two modes, hat clip, usb-c charging are at the top of my list.

EDC the Wedge, have always had streamlights, but the snap on man guaranteed me lifetime warranty on this even if I accidentally run it over with a truck for a $100 so, I'm also giving it a try lol

I've been using the Slayer for about a month now. It's been working flawless. It's very similar to The wedge and how it feels and fits in the pocket. Definitely impressed so far

The concern with the button is because it's a rubber membrane button. And in the shop with all the different petroleum products that rubber membrane has the potential to rip open. the switch on the streamlight wedge doesn't have that same

Just get the Olight Arkfeld, Metal buttons and has the UV for mechanical dye leak checks as well. Also the Olight is smaller with a better deeper carry clip and magnetic base. On sale for $59 is a no brainer.

@@jascospeed I have both arkfelds. And they have a fatal flaw that disqualifies them from being a work light for me. If you turn it on to the setting that is most reasonable for automotive repair, which is the 300 lumens setting - it does not have mode memory for this setting. This is such a flaw because every time you want to use that 300 lumens setting you have to fiddle with the button presses.
At my work efficiency matters. The more efficient you are the more money you make and having to fiddle with button presses is inefficient. I want to pull a flashlight out of my pocket and hit a button and it turns on instantaneously to the setting that I want
