Hi Mark I am a US Military Veteran and been living here in the Philippines for 30 years now and enjoyed your talks with Dennis is very interesting for sure. I actually would love to meet you and listen to you and your stories...........all I can do is hear your voice in the background and your questions but you sound very interesting yourself. I live in Cavite Philippines but will try to go to Angeles City next week if I can with all this virus thing going on and the lockdowns. Whenever i go to Angeles City I like to meet all the expats from many countries living there and see what they are doing with their lives in the Philippines............I just subscribed to your channel to see your interviews.......Thank you
Thanks Mark. Very enjoyable and uplifting interview with your fascinating guest. Red Pilled, free spirited, and so open and honest about himself and his incredible life. . Very cool dude. Not alot like him out there. I wish you both continued success in the Philippines. Hope I can join you fine gentleman some day. I subscribed to your channel Mark. Looking forward to more great content! Just as an aside and amounting to nothing, lol, Dennis, you are a vocal doplinger to the immortal comedic genius Gene Wilder. Think his Fredrick Frankenstein tour de force in the Mel Brooks classic "Young Frankenstein". Or for that matter, "The Waco Kid" the alcoholic gunslinging hero of "Blazing Saddles", yet another comedy classic. Just sayin'. Thanks again for the great interview!
I love listening to Dennis’ introspects on his inner connection with mother nature, spirits, and his desire for simple, honest and true love. Probably not many of the expats know, not even the locals are consciously aware that Philippines is a matriarchal society. It’s inherent in every Filipino family that the mothers are very norturing in every levels of the society. I think it is genetic or a spiritual thing. It is not taught. It comes out naturally from centuries of tradition. It is not feminism, it is not political. It’s as organic as nature can be and our men listen to what we have to say without feeling threatened or insecured about it. Our men value our opinion and our worth and we have a strong synergistic relationship. I believe this is your law of attraction. It makes sense why you chose Philippines Dennis.💕
I just loved watching this series. Lots of spiritual talk, but I think its needed in this world right now. Were sooo bombarded by what we think we believe from being "hypnotized" by the media. I'm from the unity/religious science realm. This 4 pt interview should be aired on PBS..its "that" kind of material..your guests have so many interesting stories to bring to the table..keep up the interviews.
Mark interesting folks you have out there. Took an American to convince me to retire in homeland. I’m from Pampanga, an hour north of Manila currently residing on the east coast of the US. All the best to your new channel!
I'm not gay but I love this guy. I'm not even "spiritual" but Dennis is so "there" with so many things I resonate with that I relate to his adventure. Namaste.
Good Job keeping the conversation moving along Mark, it takes some skills to keep from getting bogged down in the details. Dennis is an interesting person and it's easy to chase those side stories.
Just found your channel & subbed. Great story from this guy, tho' a little heavy on the spiritual side. FYI, I'm a retired American expat living in Davao for the last 3 years
I came across your videos and I really like your series of interviewing different men with their unique stories. Please continue doing that. Great job! By the way, my wife is a Filippina. Most Filippinas are good people. They have emphasis on family values.
Mark @Every Man Has a Story thank you for this beautiful story. I cried while watching. I had the same story about mom who passed away in hospital. I am a former filipino citizen and now live and a U.S citizen. My mom lives in the Philippines. I took my 3 week vacation to visit my mom in the Philippine at that time she is in the Intensive Care Unit ( ICU ) and after 2 weeks she passed away. She was waiting for me before she died. God is good I was able to see her before she died. It was not easy for me but that's life.
dennis im sorry about your mom, i saw you get realy emotional and it reminds me of my mom in that same situation except we were all in her room to see her go cause she was given a morphin and some other medication for her to go. she was in the state of coma. i do live her in anaheim california and when we use to take a trip to sanfrancisco we would take the 5 freeway and after we hit the grapevine in bakersfield its all farming stretch. now i see alot of mexicans working in that area, nothing wrong with that they are a very hard worker.....love your story thank you for sharing.
I will be 50 yrs old this year, but I work with younger guys who by minimum are only interested to what’s going on the moment, like having fun in the weekend or how to pay there bills, this channel and your content is very interesting since you have people who are experienced with life and actual failures that they learned to cope and continue to live and enjoy.
Martin, it all looks good for you vlog-wise. The bit with Dennis was spectacular. I am dying to know the answer to 1 question: what was his request to the girl on the dating site? The one who responded with: "I'm that girl !" THX Good luck! Also, you are right about Paul. Very good guy.
Wow when he talks about the Himalayas I was getting chills down my spine. I am going to be honest and say that I had a very negative impression of Americans/European older white men who move to countries like Phillipines and Thailand, for all the "reasons" we are told. After your interviews I had no idea how interesting and wise some of these guys are. And how those stereotypes are so ridiculous.
@@everymanhasastory Yes, I live in the further Dumageute area for quite a while now. Even though not being in the city to often anymore, but happy to be in the area. I will look into your contributions once in a while. Best luck and have a successful and good time here, André
I remember my father told me a story when he was still alive, about a DIWATA living in Mount Makiling which is located in Los Baños Laguana. My father told me that there was this group of student that went into the forest of Mount Makiling and made a small party in there, with a loud music and making a lot of loud noises. After a few minutes a heavy rain start pouring on the top of the mountain and creates a flash flood heading down to where the students are. I don't know how true the story is, but every person living in Laguna knows, you don't wanna mess up with Maria Makiling, the known DIWATA in Laguna.
Agree with Dennis with regards to John Perkins, the elites that slaving people and the illusion of this all! :D Multiverse, parallel realities, extraterrestrial beings, things above our limited perception, Yogi in the Himalaya's that doesn't eat and is around 130 years old up to 1000 years old, spirituality, humanity, and connectedness with each other through love. I am happy that my motherland Philippines has brought him love, motherly caring that he didn't experience anywhere even in India. That motherly love and care is really natural to Filipinos. I did travel to India for month and India gave me that deep spiritual connection to God and Philippines gave me love and spirituality comes naturally.
4:05 growing up in the Philippines, I've heard of the word "Diwata" or 'Dewata' as something of the Spirit in Filpino mythology, didn't realize it has Hindi origins. One diwata that I've read in Filipino story books is Maria Makiling.
love your history thanks for sharing. I plan to move with my wife and live part time in PI. We have family there, hers, any tips for expat would be great! or part time expat
???? The trick is to wake up where you are to the invisible ... reality that exist, that is more real than what your senses perceive. Awesome that they are willing to be open. The ego ... “ the conditioned self” .... “the hypnotized Self” We all have the opportunity to wake up, to the, unseen reality!
14:00 ish. After 15 plus years of living in US. Part of the reason why I still feel awkward saying "how are you?" I am used to that eye contact, eyebrow and nod without words while connecting to people. Saying how are you here in US has been said casually and way too much it that cheapens it. Asking How are you here on US doesn't mean much.
An interesting life story. Seems like a genuine guy. If you want to read a great life story, read A hostage to fortune” by. Ernest K Gann. A fantastic book, well written!
I watch all your videos so far but I find the running water in the background very distracting great job on your channel so far keep up the good work , maybe ask these guys where they see themselves in 5 to 10 years .

I'd much rather hear your story than a draft dodger who sacrificed his daughter to escape the life he ruined.
I enjoyed the series with Dennis. He is certainly a Very Interesting Expat !!!
Agree this guy is interesting, had interest life, life experiences and life history.
Diwata means fairy, guardian of forests and mountains. Most popular one is in Mt. Makiling, Philippines.
You should be uploading these chats to podcasts! I'd love to be listening to these while I drive, via apple podcasts :)

I enjoyed the story of this man! Interesting😊 Stay safe guys !

Very interesting interview. Honest and authentic guy. Every man has a story but no man is an island (J. Donne). Thanks guys!
Right when mark asked Dennis if mom have revisited him, A specific spot on the frame and time flickered as if his mom presented herself.
Love your videos. Subscribed from a Filipino living in NYC and hope to retire in Philippines.

The legend of Mount Makiling.
Bali would called itself as a dewata island too
Diwata. They are known to be a good and helpful to kind people.
It felt i need a beer or shot while watching this. Hahaha
Cool dude this Dennis
love your history thanks for sharing. I plan to move with my wife and live part time in PI. We have family there, hers, any tips for expat would be great! or part time expat

Oh my God he worked for Nelson too. I understand the frustration with that crew.
Where are filming, restaurant or coffee shop? It looks very peaceful. I would like to go there.

I felt his pain

Very interesting and educational but a bit out of my spiritual element. I believe in God as in Christianity but I respect his perspective
An interesting life story. Seems like a genuine guy. If you want to read a great life story, read A hostage to fortune” by. Ernest K Gann. A fantastic book, well written!
The guy is smart he wants to be free with all the stress that's going on in California
I truly in balance also.
Oops I truly believe in balance also
Diwata = In Filipino folklore, a spirit, usually a lesser god or goddess, believed to guard natural features such as forests.
Hey mark does Dennis still live in the area?
No he lives on a secluded farm in the mountains provinces
@@everymanhasastory Ok cool, man are we going to have fun when I get there bro! Fun is right around the Conner!..
I was first exposed to the multi-verse via Robert A. Heilein's book published in 1980 called "The Number of the Beast". :)
Owen wilson father
There’s spiritual seeking but go for the Creator who’s a spirit not the creation
The Philippines has enough legends, superstitions and ‘gods’ do not add to the confusion please
this interview might've been interesting with some variation and backdrops...I don't know...not sure about this one...
Thia Dennis Is interesting 🧐
When is Dennis the gunner coming back ?????????????????????????????????
Anything human thinks is existing in multiverse....
asymptotic.. this guy is really a math head
This guy seems like a really nice guy. The air quotes have got to go, though.
i like the sound of “Dewata” in the background
Diwata is Tagalog for fairy. Bathala is Tagalog for God. There’s a difference.
I wish this guy would stop using air quotes. I now no longer know what's real and what isn't!
The video didn't actually answer the question why he retired to the Philippines.
Diwata - fairy .
Dennis, you ain't foolin anybody. You're just an old horndog like the rest of us. lol. Eat a taco for me and tell the Red Table hello. any chismiss?
I watch all your videos so far but I find the running water in the background very distracting great job on your channel so far keep up the good work , maybe ask these guys where they see themselves in 5 to 10 years .
I dont like his California vibe. He is a typical California fruit loop.
Goofy dude
nothing interesting...just same old, same old....
