Hey vagabrothers! Great to see your trip in Ireland. I'm actually heading to Belfast next week and was wondering about the GoT tour for Winterfell - Belfast. Seems like a bunch of fun!

This is not the real winterfell tho. This is just a basic castle that they used in season one episode one that’s it. They just used a small part of this castle in the King’s arrival scene with lots of CGI. Season 5,6,7,8 winterfell set is different and was built to film. It is massive and there was no CGI used which makes it the same as we saw on the screen. Can you please visit and show us there???

Hi there! Is there a way we can just tour Winterfell? That was the main thing I wanted to see while in Northern Ireland
Old comment my friend but if you visit Northern Ireland in late 2020/early 2021 a couple of the real sets will be open to the public in Belfast, although check to see they have not moved the opening dates back. Kings Landing and Castle Black (i think) will be open. If you google 'Belfast Kings Landing Set' you can see pictures of it (fun fact: it's situated in the same shipyard where the Titanic was built)
How much did you payed for that tour? Seems like you were the only persons on winterfell. So did you reserve the whole castle for you alone?
