    After watching this video, I wanted to share a trick my awesome husband figured out. We just finished installing drip to our containers and of course I already had them potted up, so we had to run the 1/4" tubing on the outside of the pots this year. In order to keep that tubing in place, he used binder clips (the black ones typically found in an office) to hold the tubing in place. He ran the tubing through the silver part of the clip, then just clipped it to the side of the container- genius!!!💖💖💖 He used the mini size, but they have any size you need for your containers. It has been fabulous!!

    I've learned so much from y'all about drip, my husband and I installed it everywhere a few years ago from watching your channel. This year I pulled it all out and put it in a grid pattern like Paul did and the pressure is so much better and you're right we evolve and just keep improving. Whenever I put 1/2 inch black tubing in a walkaway I run it through PVC pipe to protect it from puncturing.

    • @mukthatumkur3324
      @mukthatumkur3324 Před 3 lety

      @anand bagmar That's right, you have to put the teflon tape in a clockwise direction when you hold the pipe in front of you. This way, when you put your fitting on which is also in the clockwise direction, you won't bunch up the tape. If you put the tape on in a counterclockwise direction, when you put a fitting on, it will bunch up because you are essentially moving the fitting against the direction that the tape is lying. There are several YT videos on this....

    Good video. Drip irrigation is easy, relatively inexpensive, and efficient. It’s also very forgiving - there are no mistakes that can not be easily remedied. 😅 I just set up a similar system for the 12 planters along our back patio tapping off of a hose spigot with a splitter with a Bluetooth controlled timer, and a similar setup with the backflow preventer, pressure regulator, and filter. Works like a charm. My wife is happy and now my daughter wants a similar setup at her house!

Well I know what I need, but I have never done such a thing. Everything I'm doing this year is new, because I found a CZcamsr that inspires me so much, all of a sudden I have a new friend named Laura and a new hobby also. Only because Laura and her wisdom make me feel like a solid grower. (Which I have never done before).

    Great video. Setting up drip for my planters has been the #1 reason they’ve looked as amazing as they have over the past several years. It started after a neighbor said he’d water my plants when I went away for a few days and I came home to plants that were almost dead.

    This is VERY helpful! I had watched all videos with your irrigation system, and boy, I watched them many times. I thought I was ready!!! LOL. I visited the hardware store multiple times and stood in front of the same isle for hours. At home, once I had finished connecting all pieces for my small irrigation system, I turned the faucet on and wow it was leaking at every single connection. It took a couple of days to realize that I needed to use the thread seal tape. Lots of 💦 but so worth it.

    Thank you SOOOOO much. You sold me on drip, both in ground and pots, when I started watching you a few years ago. "Sold", but getting to it has been another story. I bought and started to set up some things last year, but still don't have it going. Everything for me will have to be off a faucet. I have a HUGE, LONG line of pots I do, as well as my in ground stuff. I've watched several of your videos on this, more than once. This one is a great help (so were the others) and once again gets me motivated to get it done. Hand watering is just killing me(time-wise) and I can't keep consistent enough. And I always have to have someone come take care of stuff for vacation. If I could get my drip going, I'd still need someone, but it would be so much easier for them.

    I appreciate how you explained of how each situation will need to be different. Not because one is better then another but because thats just the nature of the project. Saying how you will need to stand in the hardware aisle and see what they have and giving brief examples was very helpful. Often I see people only mention it in passing which often comes across as "you could do it other ways but I am doing to show you the best way", as they proceed to copy what you have exactly.
