- I think shooting a timelapse of anything interesting is my favorite type of photography.
Just this year I started doing Milky Way Timelapses, and it takes a LOT of planning and effort. So naturally when I discovered the "Holy Grail" of timelapses, I wanted to give it a shot!
The "Holy Grail" is essentially shooting a continuous timelapse from sunset into the Milky Way. This, of course, is very difficult with your settings needing to change throughout the timelapse.
Unfortunately, there's not much I could dig up on CZcams about this entire process, and my timelapse did noooot come out very good. But I will continue to try and see what I can do to make it better for next time!

So cool to see you learning new things with the timelapse! Not an expert, so looked great to me - and I know you'll get this down so that it goes the way you want it to!
Thanks Niki:)
I am an avid nature lover and very amateur photographer, so certainly no expert on what you did here, but I thought it was beautiful! Thank you for sharing not only the time lapse, but also your process.
Thanks Anita! Really appreciate it:)🙏🏻
cool bro!
Thanks man!
I thought it looked great. I have no doubt you will figure it out to get what you are looking for. Nice job.
Appreciate it man. It’s super wonky and not consistent, but I’ll figure it out!
Very nice first Timelapse. Also…I appreciate you not naming the lake. Too much location ID on social media. 😊
Appreciate it! I need to try editing it all again lol.
And yeah, I’m definitely guilty of giving away locations on this channel. Trying to be a little more low key with it
I thought it was a pretty cool timelap.
lol thanks man. I mostly meant the transitions weren’t smooth at all. The entire point of LRTimelapse is to make them seamless, and I clearly didn’t achieve that. I’ll figure it out though!
