Our First Trip On Our Own | Exploring the North Cascades in Washington State

I've never taken Goku on an outting before. And now that his mother, my (now ex) fiance has left for the East Coast, it was time to initiate what would be the start of many adventures together.
Last October, I packed up my dog and supplies and headed to the North Cascades in Washington State, to hopefully catch what was left of the larches that had turned color for the fall.
I didn't know it yet, but this trip would ultimately be the very first of what now has become normal for my little buddy and I. And we had found one of the most amazing lakes I've seen in such a relatively short distance to hike.

Hey! Awesome video. The scenery is utterly spectacular, and Goku is a beautiful dog. We subbed to your channel after your Three Fingers Lookout video. We/I had property in NH's White Mountains since the early '70's (I had to sell in 2014) so early on I discovered a love for nature. We're hoping to do up the back of my Ford Ranger and take some trips. Looking forward to your next adventure! Kudos to Goku too!
