    Hey Arod, I see this guy removed his factory fog lights. I can see the block off. Let him know that he needs to remove the far right connector from the ECM (if standing in front of the truck facing the ECM) if he gets water in the connectors underneath the truck, it will backfeed into the ECM and cause all kinds of problems. Just unplug the connector and leave it off. They sell a plug for that port.

    I did their full kit in red with coolant reroute and their coupler for the ccv reroute while keeping the ccv in place, new style with no filter acts like a catch can. Their air filter housing clips right to the lower filter housing. Pretty slick kit but damn expensive. I love it, so much room to do activities now. Great detailed video, always enjoy the time you take to catch all the angles & details.
    This project is absolutely beautiful new Blue parts! Although, Other than replacing the aluminum casting manifolds, and adding pretty blue. What is the purpose of this replacement modification? Is there an improvement in breathing, cooling or performance if turbo & boost remain the same and all emission components remain? I see the benefit adding air ram / air cleaner replacement with a Banks… adds improvement on the air intake but this kit for the Price, I’m not seeing the gain or improvement. The additional kit, adding the intercooler new piping, if boost remain the same, additional strength isn’t needed from new piping, what is the gain in that kit?
    Totally nice looking, but very pricey for under the hood pretties & color accents… all parts over $1,700.

      @@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod Yes, and heard / read about the improved flow CFM. Which is important on the naturally aspirated side, not as important on the turbo’s pressure side.
      I understand it improves & smooths the path of induction to heads, but under pressure that’s not a major improvement… air density hasn’t improved at the cylinder ports…. Turbo Boost & Air Density remain essentially the same.
      Agree, it’s beautiful and cleans up the top side of motor. That has worth too, but question the gains.

    • @zekester1
      @zekester1 Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@dougcjohnHey, hope your having a great day!...Here's the advantages in improving air flow on the pressure side of turbo: one, less resistance allows the turbo to spool up quicker and fill the cylinder space faster & easier. Two, since the turbo is operating more efficiently and then you can utilize the extra air available from a better flowing intake. Three, a turbo that runs more efficiently tends to have less wear and thus a longer life. Also, many that is running the Pusher PowerFlow intake & Turbo Inlet has report improved mpg from .5 to 2. In my case (2018 F350 XLT cc lb drw) I've seen from 16.7mpg to 17.4 mpg

    • @dougcjohn
      @dougcjohn Před 10 měsíci +2

      @@zekester1 Appreciate the info. I realized turbo would gain some efficiency due to improved smoothness & bends, thus aiding spooling time but didn’t think it would provide much performance improvement on a stock emission engine with stock turbo & exhaust emissions restricted.
      I can see a mild improvement, just questioned the value to have that minimal gain for the price. Several other options provide more substantial gains at a much better cost/gain ratio. Exp: Derringer or Ram Air Intake.
      The MPG results are interesting, the fuel combustion, computer matrix for A/F & Turbo control unchanged and exhaust remains emission restrictive.
      I can see a MPG minimal improvement with no load daily driving since power is not being demanded, even the minimal improvement not being utilized, but under load there could be more improvement.
      Although I can see improvement if combined with Banks pedal and derringer added since derringer is tweaking fuel, air & boost based on readings and pedal monster helping to stabilize pedal input.
      If dressing up the engine bay while adding a mild improvement is End Goal… then cost to dress up can be justified if that’s the goal. Personally, I’ll probably add these pipes when I get to stage to replace CP4 pump with DCR or Desaster kit mainly for 1) improved serviceability & access, and 2) clean design & beautiful blue pipes. 3) Help performance gains with Banks components.
      Along the same thought path… I like the Banks 5” Exhaust. Back pressure reducing & performance/MPG minimal gain expectation isn’t the end game… goal is to lower exhaust temp blown back across pricey 5th Wheel and a nice mild turbo tone change…. Gladly take any MPG/Performance gains but not high expectations.

      @zekester1 Před 10 měsíci +3

      @@dougcjohn Hey, I agree with most of your thoughts. Let me explain my 6.7 powerstroke journey...I drove my new '18 dually about 1 1/2 years before putting on mods (except for Banks iDash after 6 months)...Then pulled the trigger on more Banks stuff( had Banks stuff on my 6.0) another iDash(Data Monster), the Ram Air cai, 5" monster exhaust, Derringer set @ power level 3 & Pedal Monster set @ city level 10...Those mods delivered not only more power but my mpg went from 16.2 to 16.7...Drove it that way until July this year( only adding HSM cold side charge tubes)...In July had ARod change out CP4 to DCR, Pusher PowerFlow intake & Turbo Inlet, HSM hot side charge tubes, PPE lower oil pan....These mods as stated before mpg's went from 16.7 to 17.4 also the Pusher intake gave me a quicker response so I lower my pedal Monster setting from City level 10 to city level 8... Hey Mike, the system flows 15% more air to the turbo & 66% more to the intake which is right up there to their off-road intake systems...better throttle response & mileage gains of .5 - 2 mpg depending truck set up & driving habits

      AROD I asked them to make that pipe but they told me that everyone goes the 2015 turbo so instead of making that pipe they want u to spend 3000 for a updated turbo plus install just to upgrade those sweet pipes I already have the pusher hot and cold pipes
      Not everyone wants to replace a turbo that still works good

    Use hairspray instead of silicone spray. The hairspray is slippery and has a nice bite to it so the couplers won't blow off.
