    This is my 2022 Kenworth W990 day cab log truck. This episode I work on the head rack and truck bunk mounting. Thanks to my dad and my friend David for the help. Enjoy the video.

    Thanks for sharing with everyone on how these log trucks go together. You see them going down the road and typically have no idea the work involved to get them to the point where can haul logs. BTW nice craftsmanship taking the extra time to radius a lot of the corners. I know that eats a lot of time, but it's shows the pride involved, rather then just "slapping it together". Well done and I look forward to your next update.

      Thanks for the nice comment. Yes, there is a ton of work that goes into putting these trucks together. I'm trying to make this one as nice as I can, that way I won't have to come back later and fix things. Thanks for watching!

    Another great video!!! You could laser cut W990 in the plate just behind your bunk and or put your company name on the other side. As you know this will shave off some weight off the plate, and it be unique for your truck. Can’t wait for the next update!!!

    Awesome fabrication and painting. You were right when you said the 990 kind of grows on you.I think your paint scheme has a lot to do with how good looking your 990 is. I really enjoy following along with your build, and admire the professional look of the finished product. I follow a bunch of CZcams channels but yours is the only one set to alert me when you post a new video. Have a great day, don from NH.

    Very impressive, doing all this on top of working and maintaining your current truck and having to worry about a major fire in your area. Not to many O/O with your skill set, but tip of the hat to all of them and the up and comers you are inspiring and teaching how to get it done.

      Thanks Charles. Its been a busy summer trying to get things together. I had a little bit of a forest fire smoke filter on some of the video, luckily we survived another close call. Thanks for the nice comment and for watching.

    Nice work! I like the fact that you turn the bolt heads to the outside, I would have done the same, it looks so much better. It's all about the details!

      Thanks, I agree with you on the bolts. I have a bunch more of them to turn around. Thanks for watching.

      Thanks Ed. We only have a small wire feed welder and I'm used to stick welding. Someday I'll get a bigger wire welder. Thanks for watching, look for you on the highway.

    Disc brakes on the rear axles is interesting. Seen them a lot on the steer but don’t think I’ve seen them on a drive axle. Beautiful truck. Has it hauled logs yet?

    • @FourthOver
      @FourthOver  Před rokem

      I see more and more disc brakes on the drives, I'm still unsure if it's the right way to go. Yes, it has hauled logs for a year now. Thanks for watching.
