Whatz Up TV took a trip a few years back to The Port Maria's Infirmary, St. Mary. At the Infirmary we were blessed to interview a few of the residents, one in particular was a comedian named REDS. Please support the Port Maria's Infirmary! - Komedie

Mr. Reds is one of Jamaica’s national treasures that are
grossly undervalued. My memory of Mr Reds goes back to 1953. He doesn’t know
me. Most people who visited Port Maria know Mr. Reds. Mr. Reds doesn’t know
most people that visited Port Maria. His list of accolade reads a: Competent
motor vehicle mechanic, sweet-foot driver, comedian, psychologist, sociologist,
an eccentric with an aristocratic flavour, and a transformer. A few seconds in
his presence changes one’s negative emotion to positive.The way he talked about the lost of his sight during this
interview, as if he lost no more than a toe nail, is a testimony of the man’s
character.He is very witty, humorous, pleasant and very informative.
In his Aye days he could bring peace to any war-torn community.I moved away and have not seen Mr Reds for over forty years;
then on a visit to Port Maria Tax Office, the mood there range from depressed
to tense due to the over 300% increase in land tax, in walked Mr. Reds and the
atmosphere changed to one of relaxation.I am sure wherever he is, he is making lot of people happy.
I love the elders they are Angel God bless them...
Very nice man. Don't know him but he reminds me of my dad who passed away 2014. I love my country Ja. Soon come.

I remember Mr. Reds, he was heavy set and he hangs out at the gas station across from Azan store . As child waiting for the bus to go home to Oracabessa from school. He was sure funny its good to see him but sorry to known he lost his sight. My school was Port Maria High School beside the Army Camp. Keep up the good work.
