Charging 48v mower from 12v 200ah LiFePo4 Power Queen battery backup solar power charging system

Testing an emergency charging system for my Ryobi 48v LiFePo4 powered riding lawn mower. A This 12v 200ah battery should have enough power to charge my mower, but it's voltage doesn't match its 48v battery pack. With about 2.5kWh of capacity, the Power Queen 200ah LiFePo4 should be able to do the job. I used a boost converter with CC/CV (constant current, constant voltage) to raise the voltage up to about 55 volts to charge the lawn mower.

Note that this is a test to cover an emergency scenario. Using alligator clips and an IEC power cord is not a safe and robust way of connecting a 48v charger. But in an emergency, one might have no choice. Therefore this test was a good practice of working under challenging conditions with improper connections. At least I used a fuse to protect it all - it's better than nothing...

Ryobi used a standard IEC 120/240v connector attached to the battery? 😱

@Sylvan_dB Thankfully no, but those connectors are commonly used on chargers and it just so happens I have plenty in stock :)
