  • Best and Worst Foods to Eat with Hay Fever (Allergic Rhinitis) | How to Reduce Signs and Symptoms
Hay Fever (Allergic Rhinitis) is a condition involving inflammation of the nasal mucosa when exposed to certain allergens. There are particular risk factors for the onset of allergic rhinitis/hay fever including early life exposures. However, new research has demonstrated that dietary foods and beverages can influence the frequency and severity of symptoms of allergic rhinitis and hay fever.

I had allergies near year round, also had asthma, and sleep apnea.
I changed my diet. My allergies are nearly gone, asthma near non existent to the point I have no inhaler, nor drugs(I used to have multiple)
Sleep apnea resolved via opening of my nasal passages, allowing me to breath normally.
    I changed the following
    • Lowish carb
    • avoidance of vegetable oil
    • No processed foods
    • 16-20hr daily fasting
Now zero drugs, except in rare cases.
I presume the causes were reduction of inflammation from lower carb, lower seed oils, and fasting.
Lower omega-6 fats to turn into inflammatory by products.
Also resolved my chronic pain from nerve damage in my leg. Used to be a 9-10 on occasion, 5 or 6 constant. Opiates needed when it was bad.. OTC for rest of time.
    Now zero pain, zero meds.
Deviate from diet for more than a few days, leg starts to ache a bit again.

      I focus on the following
      1. Nutrient dense
      2. Low polyunsaturated fats (PUFA)
      3. No vegetable / seed oils
      4. Low Linoleic Acid
      5. No processed foods
      6. Avoid refined grain flours
Me personally, I eat 80% animal based. So meat/organs, cheese, dairy, eggs Some vegetables that don't give me issues, and occasional fruits, with a focus on berries.
I do still eat some bread, say a bun, or sorghum pancakes, but try to limit this. I
I don't eat fried foods at restaurants, but will make at home where I know the oils used.
      Fats I use are
Butter / ghee / clarified butter
      Beef tallow
      Coconut oil
Good quality olive oil if liquid oil needed, but best to avoid as well due to linoleic acid.
Avacado oil is ok, but usually adultered, as is much olive oils.. so use caution.
For meat, I avoid non ruminant animals, pigs, chicken, and fish/seafood, unless I know their diet is natural.
When fed a high PUFA diet, such as grains, soybeans, or other source, these animals sequester PUFA, particularly linoleic acid, in their fat. This serves to concentrate these fats as high as some of the vegetable oils. My exception is lean cuts from these animals, as I can trim the fat, and replace it with a healthy fat. Wild seafood I'm also ok with, as they eat a natural diet.
Ruminant animals, such as cows, goats, sheep, deer, have multiple stomachs, full of bacteria, which converts much of the PUFA into healthier fats. Their diet matters much less, but grass fed /finished is still better.

      @@tharaswarysatheesh4286 that's interesting..
Anything in specific? I have issues with pork and chicken, but was the animals diets causing me the issue.
Some also have issues with meats when they are not fresh, due to elevated histamine levels as the meat ages.
There are also people with such thing as a meat allergy, caused by some ticks.
There are also many genetic disorders which can cause issues with fat metabolism.. LCHAD is one. I'm actually a single carrier of it.

Check our AP ayurveda, you will only find permanent solution with it, there is no other solution you can get from someone else. AP ayurveda is the best for sinus or allergic rhinitis

Been suffering with hay fever for a long time, it’s gotten worse the past 3 years and discovered it’s all the high histamine foods. Spicy foods, dairy, eggs, tomatoes, tinned fish etc all the foods I love. Low histamine diet helps. Plus vit c, Amla powder and quercitine. Nuroprotek supplement is very good but very expensive. And also histamine x probiotics.

I also look up Kiwi fruit and it was one of the powerful fruits that is supposed to help with allergies along with pumpkin seeds. Great video as I love orange juice with raw bits, apples and green veg. I remember my grandma giving me horse radish to help with my blocked nose and it had an immediate effect. I must try to get more fish and veg into my diet although fish is very expensive now days and you don't get much for what you buy.
