    Rebekah, awesome information. I only have one question. How much information do I have to put down on the body of the outline? Do I have to write my entire speech pretty much or just a brief glance of everything that I’ll be talking about?
    Thanks.

      Great question! If you are using this as an outline to practice with, I encourage you to put down quite a bit of information. If this is for you to use during your speech, put as little as possible so that you aren't reading your speech to your audience and are instead making eye contact and connecting with your audience.

    Hi, i dont know if u can relpy to this. My teacher in grade 9 ask me to participate in an english contest which is creating informative speech. im a student and my question is it really important to write the "speaker credibility" thingy?

    • @rebekahwhitaker3446
      @rebekahwhitaker3446  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes! The speaker credibility statement helps your audience understand why they should listen to YOU. :) Good luck!

    I was taught to avoid using and when you're going into the preview of main statements because this would most likely confuse the audience make them here two ideas instead of one

    Thank you Rebekah for the effort that you've mad in making this video, it is realy helpful, the way of explanation is very simple and easy to understand,but i have one question,if i've been asked to write an informative speech on the day of the exam,what is the structure that i should follow to write it?i mean, should i write it in 5 paragraph essay? or there is other methods?

    • @rebekahwhitaker3446
      @rebekahwhitaker3446  Před 7 lety

      There are multiple ways to structure an informative speech, but I usually suggest sticking to this basic way of organizing. You can expand or add more main points if it is something that your audience can read, but if it is something that your audience will be listening to, I suggest sticking to 3 main points. I hope that answers your question!

  • @informativecontent4778

    wouldn't topics like legalizing marijuana fall in pursuasive speech category?

    • @judyblessed58
      @judyblessed58 Před 6 lety +2

      Its could be for both. The only thing on informative speech is that you will only inform and leave out the "call to action" part.

    • @rebekahwhitaker3446
      @rebekahwhitaker3446  Před 6 lety +2

      Brock Lesnar, there are ways we can talk about the pros and cons of legalizing marijuana and make it informative and not persuasive.

    • @rebekahwhitaker3446
      @rebekahwhitaker3446  Před 6 lety +4

      Creeptv that’s perfectly fine as long as you are not in my class. I no longer allow the marijuana legalization topic because it has been overdone (read I can’t handle hearing the same speech again). :)

      And that would probably be persuasive, assuming of course you have some emotional reason for choosing that subject.
