Thank you so much for this!
Where do write out our references?
Thank you so much for this video it really helped me. I do have a question, so for a demonstrative speech you do not have to do an in-text citation in the process? I ask this because I was confused during that since my professor still want us to cite our sources we used, but I wonder if doing that in the reference page is what they meant?
That’s a great question! I strongly encourage my students to write any citations they have on their outline so that they remember to say them out loud during their speech when they are giving information from the given source.
Rebekah, W, you are so nice and lovely for this. Blessings my friend 🙏🏾 👍🏾.
Hi! May i use this as my tool in my study?. Been reaching out to your email and seemed to be unreachable. Thank you!
I haven’t received your email. Double check that you sent it to the correct address: rwhitaker@uu.edu.
Hi! can I adopt your template as my research instrument in writing informative speech? thank you!
Hi! can i use your outline as my research instrument for the study i am conducting about students' vocabularies? Thanks!
Sure! Send me an email at rwhitaker@uu.edu and I will share the template with you. I would love to hear more about your research too!
Nicely explained, Rebekah. I do like the way you fitted the Monroe into a standard speech outline which was really helpful. Sorry to see you were cold when recording this. Thanks for posting,
Thank you for this video. I've learn something from you more than my teacher teach!
thank u so much, I really need this 🥺🥺
Thank you very much .You have helped me for passing my exam . ☺😊
This video is amazing and helpful. Is this structure good for all persuasive topics? If not, can you please give me some example? Thank you so much!!
If you are persuading someone to DO something, this is the structure. If you are trying to persuade someone to change their attitude or position, you can use a similar structure I suggest for informative speeches (see my other video about informative speech structure). Each main point will just be focused on a reason for your audience to change their mind. If this is for a class, make sure to double check the assignment description and check with your teacher. But this is how I teach these skills.
@@rebekahwhitaker3446 Thank you <3
Thank you for this format 😭 it help me a lot, i'm not good in english but this format will be guide me thank you so much 😭
Rebekah, awesome information. I only have one question. How much information do I have to put down on the body of the outline? Do I have to write my entire speech pretty much or just a brief glance of everything that I’ll be talking about? Thanks.
Great question! If you are using this as an outline to practice with, I encourage you to put down quite a bit of information. If this is for you to use during your speech, put as little as possible so that you aren't reading your speech to your audience and are instead making eye contact and connecting with your audience.
The brilliance of this tutorial is in its simplicity. My daughter is taking an online speech class and the the cumulative guidance offered her via examples, notes and handouts has done nothing but confuse her. Just too much info. Now, she gets it. You are a godsend, Ms. Whitaker. If I may ask, just which persuasive speech formal outline template you are using here? Thank you! (Do you have a tutorial on delivery outline?)
Saw your bottom comment about the "Monroe" template. Great!
And yes, I do have delivery videos too. You just need to check out my channel. :)
Thank you for this video! it helped me a lot on my public speaking class.
well explained. Thank you for helping me with my assignment
thanks for the explaination🙏😃
English is not my native language so I needed writer to be ESL too. I asked to write easy and writer from myeasypaper.com did it. All paper was easy to understand and similar to my.😍😍😍
You legit have no idea how much this helped me thank you so much!

Hii I have to make an informative essay about quality education that is relating to the societal issue now... I have a hard time thinking for a thesis statement can you help me??? plsss
or like how should I start it for the introduction
Very helpful thank you. I was totally lost as to where to start. I luv the fact that you were simple and to the point. Thks
Hi, i dont know if u can relpy to this. My teacher in grade 9 ask me to participate in an english contest which is creating informative speech. im a student and my question is it really important to write the "speaker credibility" thingy?
Yes! The speaker credibility statement helps your audience understand why they should listen to YOU. :) Good luck!
Can i get your gmail ?
so nice
I like the way you speak
Thanks for the help in this matter. I did not know it. 📌 *_Watch $500 Benefit on my Ch_* 💰
Deez nuts
Good video, thanks for making it. Also: Have you heard about the status quo? It couldn't afford the change... Hehe, you get it? lol
I should have been youtube this video ...I have been struggling for days....to the point of vomiting ...thank you sooo much. I'm too old to have to have this much anxiety about homework. Thank you
me too
2020.10. ➕1
I was taught to avoid using and when you're going into the preview of main statements because this would most likely confuse the audience make them here two ideas instead of one
u are amazing thank you. that is so helpful thing for ma academic homework.Best wishes from Turkey
Well I know what my next speech is going to be about...... LEGALIZING POT!
Creeptv that’s perfectly fine as long as you are not in my class. I no longer allow the marijuana legalization topic because it has been overdone (read I can’t handle hearing the same speech again). :)
And that would probably be persuasive, assuming of course you have some emotional reason for choosing that subject.
lol my teacher banned the topic too because every stoner was doing it lmao
Thank you! :)
thanks gal
Can you pls add a downloadable document
I don't have a way to do so...but you can look up Monroe's Motivated Sequence for the specific template.
wouldn't topics like legalizing marijuana fall in pursuasive speech category?
Its could be for both. The only thing on informative speech is that you will only inform and leave out the "call to action" part.
Brock Lesnar, there are ways we can talk about the pros and cons of legalizing marijuana and make it informative and not persuasive.
thanks for reply
Thank you for explaining
I am watching this video because my professor did not tell me how to do the assignment; thank you
Thank you Rebekah for the effort that you've mad in making this video, it is realy helpful, the way of explanation is very simple and easy to understand, but i have one question,if i've been asked to write an informative speech on the day of the exam, what is the structure that i should follow to write it?i mean, should i write it in 5 paragraph essay? or there is other methods?
There are multiple ways to structure an informative speech, but I usually suggest sticking to this basic way of organizing. You can expand or add more main points if it is something that your audience can read, but if it is something that your audience will be listening to, I suggest sticking to 3 main points. I hope that answers your question!
