I went Sur Ron x my next upgrade is 17 in wheels . . These are more fun due to how many upgrade options available. 45 mph right out of the box very little needed to do 73mph top end with the same motor. Bike weight 105

What about weight, one of the most important measurements for off-road riders? The Talaria is over 25 pounds heavier than the Sur-Ron, and that weight negates a good bit of the Talaria battery's extra amp hours, making the battery comparison much closer. Also, you said that the Sur-Ron was "thinner" and "more nimble," which should be another point since this is an important consideration for off-road riding.

You nailed it man!… After talking to a couple of talaria owners who also owned Surron’s, I heard back that with the upgraded Gladiator Chi battery 60V/60Ah… The total new weight on the SurRon goes from 110 to 125 pounds… However the talaria comes in at 138 pounds STOCK. That’s a huge dealbreaker for me personally. Hope this information helps!🙏🙌

Nice to see your comparison video, I have owned SURRON for 5 years and the Light Bee is a trusted product. I am happy to have it.
TALARIA also looks good because it copied the SURRON concept, but the frame with the modified shape doesn't seem to have the simple design aesthetic of SURRON's frame. This bike design by SURRON is their concept from 7 years ago, shame on Talaria now in 2022 to replicate the concept of SURRON 7 years ago. There's always a bit of a knockoff feel to it.
From China, there may be 10 or 100 factories replicas like Talaria‘s way in the future. SURRON is always original. The Light Bee model is SURRON, but SURRON does not only have Light Bee. Having competition is a good thing for consumers and may speed up the progress of SURRON's new generation of products.

Ronster literally says “we’re looking at the same brakes, handlebars, front wheels, rotors, headlights, key ignition. The forks are random and you could get either set on either bike. So why tf would they then go through the trouble of getting a unique HORN of all things. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️. They sound exactly the same. The Talaria was only a hair louder, but that could’ve just been due to how hard he pressed each of them.

gotta say as a sur ron owner i love the look of the talaria and kind of want to buy one (or atleast buy the frame and swap everything over if possible), slight change in the frame design looks beautiful and battery cover minimizing all the exposed area to the top of the battery. battery cable is a great idea but with the sur ron being a somewhat popular ebike to mod and already having a wide selection of custom batteries, not being able to use my 72v battery in it is a deal breaker because of the connector. :(

Great review! Thank you very much for it. Just a side note the power increase significantly on the Talaria after 4-5 battery cycles. Also, the OEM gearing as you tried (44T) is a little bit taller than Sur-Ron. With the equivalent sprocket ratio the peak power of the Talaria is higher from 0-30 but over this speed the Sur-Ron have a little bit more snap we agree especially on throttle response.

All the 2021 need to be reprogrammed by the dealer (look if you have N or M in your VIN (M =2021 and N = 2022). You can send us your controller if you want and we will dot the update for you. I am even sure the Talaria in this video is not updated too otherwise you wouldn't see much difference with the Sur-Ron. Hopefully a larger rear sprocket on the Talaria will help give it more mid range. I was under the impression Talaria had a 48 tooth sprocket like the Sur-Ron but it came with a 44 tooth. I have a Warp9 52 tooth I will be installing. My heart sank a little when you said it was hard to wheelie, isn't that a big factor in why we buy these things? The headset spacer gives the Talaria a slightly slacker fork angle and taller stack. It isn't significant on an electric dirt bike unless you are very experienced with electric dirtbikes, but on a mountain bike it is a noticeable difference. Can the spacer be moved to the top to change the geometry? I'm very familiar with mountain bike geometry, but not dirt bikes. So when I look at the dirtbikes, the angle that would be called the headtube angle, looks pretty steep. around 66 degrees is the sweet spot for a trail bike, but on something more robust like a dirtbike, I imagine it would feel twitchy.

Build one, buy the parts one at a time... Ali express has some nice frames, I built a 2 wheel drive ebike with 7kw of power and I stayed on the low end for controllers and battery voltage 48v..... however I did build a custom battery pack with Samsung 40T cells so i could fit 2 batteries inside the frame... with a discharge of 175 amps each... over 300 amps total discharge capable... ^^ 20 amp hours each... if your going to run Motorcycle tires, Shinko 520 series are nice.

Yo Bros, I live in the alps and have normally like 15min drive to work. 14km each way 28km daily. Thinking to buy one of these to get to work instead of using the car, The way i would get to work with one of these would be half off road, half on the the mainroads/side roads. I come in at 79kgs how many times a week would i need to charge one of these bike if i where to use it 7days a week going on the same path to work. I'm a downhill bike rider so i'd take this bad boy into the mountains also for rides... What issues should i look out for getting one of these, Service wise what to expect? are the easy enough to service alone? cheers for any info

Will the motor and "transmission" support tunes as high as the SUR RON does with a BAC 8000 and a 72v? I'm planing on buying either a SUR RON or talaria and upgrading it, but since I'm pretty tall (1,96 m) I figured I could save myself a few small mods by going for the talaria since it's taller, lower pegs, etc. I'm just worried that I can't get as much performance as with a SUR Ron. As far as I understood, the limiting factor of going faster on a SUR RON is the high motor rpm. How do they compare at the limit? Couldn't you install a 2nd gear for high speed riding?

It's weird what you say about the throtle curve of the sur ron because a couple of years ago I buy a sur ron I think it was 2018 model and the throtle was really bad for wheelie to me. Like in a dead stop go the bike wheelie really well but too snappy, all the torque available and than when I was rolling at 5 mph no more torque impossible to lift the wheels up ! I was hoping to learn to wheelie with the sur ron but this throttle curve make me give up to try to learn !
