With the foot thing it's how you put your foot out that's the issue. Ideally you want to keep your feet on the pegs as much as possible but if you go to put your leg out it should be for balance when going around a corner and you shouldn't dangle them. You just let your foot dangle even when it's unnecessary which I can tell you isn't fun when something catches your foot
