I help mainly INFPs embrace their unique strengths and navigate life's challenges. Through practical strategies and deep insights, I aim to help people like you live a more fulfilling and authentic live where you can wake up and feel good about who you are and your impact on the world. I talk to a lot of INFPs and careers and dealing with corporate America seem to come up a lot so I thought I'd offer my thoughts on it as well as I got a question from an INFP that says "I'm hoping to find a new job where I can be more myself and find motivation. How can I be my vulnerable self in a business world that only seems to pay authenticity lip service and values strength above all?"

    I love the way you talk. It's soothing and yet strangly impactful. I'm also an INFP and go through numerous struggles in my life, and this channel, besides the plethora of practical advice that it provides people with, also is a place that I can anchore myself in, find a piece of myself in, as in seeing a segment of my collective self, my grand self, the place where I see the reflection of my soul. And that is a good feeling, indeed.
    Thanks for the video, and keep up being that sort of place for us :)

    Hello, I am an INFP as well! I just found your channel. You are so right, as an INFP I feel so alone ALL THE TIME. It is so hard for me to connect with others, I don't feel like anyone ever sees me. And as a result, I did the same thing as you where I concluded that this world "isn't meant for me." This video really helped me a ton, and gave me a new perspective to work with when working through those negative thoughts/feelings. Thank you so much! Please keep making more content like this, you have the most soothing voice, and the atmosphere of this video was very cozy and relaxing. I think you have the perfect voice for ASMR too, not just your voice, but your kind eyes and naturally "nurturing" demeanor. Thank you again!!!

    As an INFP, I KNOW we peak later in life as we cultivate our own space and place in the world as well as through healing and exploring in the world! I felt in identity crisis my whole life until I got my own place, limited my interaction with people who make me feel “abnormal” and spent a ton of time with myself and people that are amazed by my sensitivity, creativity, and our odd zest for life! I think I’ll peak much later in life and I LOVE knowing that it’s only getting better.

    This was more impactful advice than what my therapist has given me in months. I know myers briggs isnt considered clinical by most concerns but this hit home in an accuracy I assumed no one I went to for help would achieve. I am in a very very lost and scary point in my life and your journey gives me hope.

    So much truth in this video. I am taking my personality seriously and I am learning a lot about why I achieve so much and then drop it all off because I am not fulfilled. I blame myself a lot on how I don't know where I am going while others can stick to those jobs/careers. Thanks for making this video.

    I just wanted to take a second to thank you for the content you put out. I love to research. It helps me grow as a male infp, And it's amazing to find someone to connect with and learn from even if it is through a screen. I tried to do the whole youtube thing and it's really easy to get discouraged. I'm proud of you for sticking with it! ❤

    Been watching this channel for a while. Wish I had this 5-10 years ago when I was struggling. But still I think this could help a lot of people.
    For me a lot of time alone out side enjoying nature and then getting a career that helped others (I’m a therapist). Has done amazing thing. It’s so much better than watching Netflix in bed.
    I love my life. I can honestly say that now, most of the time.

    Thanks for your warm & supportive perspective. As an INFP, I feel competely happy to devote time and labor and focus to developing a skill. What's frustrating is feeling like the skills that I have to offer -- the main abilities I've spent my life developing because to me they always felt like the important ones -- aren't wanted in the world. Does anyone have a list of (paying) careers for INFPs who are good at communicating and synthesizing and creating, but bad at being STJs?

    • @Lingvamanto
      @Lingvamanto Před 4 lety

      I feel you! I'm not sure a have a list like that yet. I'm on the discovery as well. I'm currently teaching languages. Doin it one-on-one has been something I enjoy. Translating is something I like doing but I guess I just need to find the appropriate topics (near to my heart) to do that more. That's all I've tried as jobs. Hope it's useful . Cheers!

      List of INFP careers-

      2) Manga Industry
      3) Psychology
      4) Counselour
      List of Businesses for INFP (where there is no boss to scold at you)
      1) Write a book and sell it. (kindle is best= passive income generates)
      2) Design a game.
      3) Make a course and sell it.
      4) Execute your idea and create best product (but we should be aware there might be aggressive competitors who don't care about us and might step on us to get ahead)
      5) As an INFP I can recommend that never work under someone else. It's better to be self employed or businesswoman because no one cares wether we are sensitive or not, because Boss judges us the same way as he/she judges harsh or non-sensitive people.

    I often feel shy of being myself and also succumb to my own insecurity and self-judging attitude that I'm afraid to share what I am capable of such as singing. Your mention about the clarity of who we are and how we might use it to share our gifts really inspire me and put me into a more beneficial perspective of how could I contribute back to this beautiful world. Thank you so so so much Matt.

    Do you ever help w specific advice/insight for specific situations? I’m the mom of a 19yr-old INFP son. He’s in a bad place most of the time, and I could use some advice for a mom, from an infp male who seems to have found contentment, if not joy, in life. I’m an very bubbly ENFP mom, and when we clash it’s always cuz I’m trying to help and inspire and motivate and he gets broody and angsty. He’s soooooooo talented. Plays and writes music. Paints like Bob Ross. Can express himself excellently through writing. Has no motivation or consistency. And obviously I annoy the crap outta him and he frustrates the hell outta me!

    I also INFP but I struggle right now. As INFP I received a lot of information from my surrounding it's too much to process, and sometimes I can't help myself from saying something weird because there is a lot of things that I want to say inside my head but I can't describe it, so I use drug like marijuana to reduce my brain process to normal. I know its a drug but after I use it's easier to control my thought. Maybe I can quit someday......

      jonathan dossy instead of using marijuana you should use binaural beats which gives you same feeling as marijuana but binaural beats isn't harmful at all. You should even meditate (Zazen Buddhist meditation) to reduce your brain thoughts.

    • @shahrazade26
      @shahrazade26 Před 4 lety +3

      @N a r a You have chosen to see lack of planning as a weakness. I make a lot of detailed plans when it is needed and/or it makes sense to plan. That does not make me a planner. It certainly doesn't mean that goal setting is a good idea for me. It hurts more than it helps and is not needed. If I really want something and am passionate about it, I will accomplish it no matter what obstacles I face. If I'm not passionate about it, no amount of goal setting is going to make me do it. Either way, goals are a waste of time.
