Eric, you sure are a true down to the bone farmer, dragging hind end tired, late at night and you still take the time to clean up the mess on top of the silo. I admire that, the sign of a dedicated farmer, doing the right thing. I know that's a trait instilled in you by your dad and all the generations before. Most farmers don't know anything else but doing the job to completion. I sure do love those aerial shots and the silo ones too. Thanks, I enjoyed this one, to you and all your family, have a great week!
Great video today. So much going on. That sprayer looked so space age. Dutchess is getting bigger but is still a terrific little "helper," I always love the view from on top of the silo, and sunsets and the always weirdly satisfying harvesting too. Just hope you never have to remove that one lone tree. I love that one lone tree.
You and your father are like my dad and me back when we were dairy farming. I really do like getting my farming fix from you guys. Your work habits are awesome and you are a great farmer. A#1 chain replacement, no cutting corners( one and done). Thanks for the enjoyment you two give me. Have a great day.
@@christianterrill3503 My father has been gone for some time now and I am 72 and retried. We both loved farming just as they do. It is a tough life to live, but one worth living. Very satisfying
Yea a lot to do getting hay put away and spraying corn , milking cows an cleaning the mess up after your done. And keeping barns an milk barn cleaned . And a beautiful scenery at night time .
Great video Eric! Very satisfying to see a successful harvest. The sprayer was impressive - much less apparent crop damage than i expected. Great views from the silo and the drone. Lovely sunset. The skid steer has proven to be a good purchase with your maintenance and care. Thanks for the video!
I’m not a farmer. You and your dad put in a lot of work and your attention to detail and pride in your living is written in everything you do. Thank you for the videos.
Beautiful view from atop that silo. Amazed that you know exactly where to kick to make things work. Always a pleasure watching you and your Dad working together Eric. Thanks for the great video.
Updating equipment is always essential. That sprayer looks like something out of Star wars. That bedding chopper was a good purchase. Dutchess is cute and doesn't get in the way all the time. Stay safe.
Your fields look beautiful….so much green compared to where I live in Kansas. Glad you’ve had moisture. Love the drone views and those from the top of the silo. Climbing up there is good cardio exercise for you! Thanks for another interesting video!
When I was a kid about 1960 to 1968. We had an all over trailer more with a 7 foot circle. We pulled it with a 25 horse silver king tractor, and in third gear. We went about 8 miles an hour at full speed. That was the best more that anyone had in our whole area. I watched other people mow at half speed we did. It’s spot close to the speed that you’re driving with your disk bine.
You guys do such work n repairs daily to keep the dairy farm up and running. I love milk and drink plenty daily. Everytime I drink a tall glass it reminds me of your hard work. Thanks Guys and the gals!
Dutchess! Cutest little puppy-butt farm dog on You Tube! Beautiful drone footage and I agree, top of the silo shots can't be beat. Another great video! Thanks 👍
I keep thinking that your family farm is blessed to have to financial wherewithal to buy new chain and expand the barn. I’m guessing this channel is a huge part of that. Love you guys.
I'm not so sure it's "huge" but it certainly helps. Spread the word and watch the ads and maybe one day it could be HUGE. One thing I do for my favorite tubers is to just hit the replay button and let the vid run again with all the ads. Then just open another tab and continue on with my youtube time. Have a good one Michael C.!
Yeah building a barn takes loans and yeeeeears of paying them off, trust me, my family built two chicken barns in 2019 and my kids will be taking over my parents debt one day😂 but wouldn’t change it for the world
I think you should consider the drone for spraying the corn when it reaches that height unless it cost prohibitive. I think the coverage would be better and no corn run down.
when i was youg i worked from sun up to sun down and thought i was a hard worker. looks like you guys work through the dark! im always impressed you do matainance before things break and become a problem when time is short. God bless and keep you all strong for the work.
Your crops look really great - never a dull moment on the farm - there’s always something to repair. You and your dad have a wonderful working relationship, and I admire how you care for your stock. 😁👌👌👏👏👏👏❤️❤️
The corn sure looks nice and healthy. You sure got some good exercise going up and down the silo a couple times today. Great video, lots of chores to share with you. Thanks.
Hope your staying cool this week, we're frying across the river in NJ... was lugging cement up to the 4th floor all day today to refinish the side of the building, 80lbs at a time. Thought I was going to pass out. Those new tires are looking sweet! Nothing like new rubber
Smooth as silk as always Eric!!👍🏻 Props to you and your dad you two are some go getters, could use more guys like you in this world!!!!! Until next time!!🤘🏻
Lot of work all done in a day. Show another drone video of field where the tall sprayer was working. See how much the corn has recovered, Good video. Thanks
Great Alfalfa stand. Looked like a great yield on the 3rd cut. Loved the drone footage. I used to be able to work like you Eric. Your farmstead looks really good.
Your green fields are beautiful Eric!! It's a big contrast to our Texas crops suffering the weeks of no rain and blistering Temps of 105 degrees. Love how you and your dad work together.
We have Harvestor silos with what looks like the same center fill pipe on the top, ours are enclosed on the bottom with just flat plate metal with several tarp straps over the top to hold them in place I believe there are about 3 or 4 separate pieces about 2 feet long each if I remember,we don't use the silos anymore
Thanks for the video Eric Dad and Duchess :) great content as usual! Could you fabricate a cover for the open part of that gooseneck? Seems to me that could save a lot of feed and frustration…not to mention the having to get it cleaned up in the dark with only a headlight.
You talk about raking in the evening. I remember many times hearing dad getting up at 3 am to go rake hay so that we could chop first thing after milking.
Just a thought and I am not sure if it would work for you. Take a few totes cut the ends off to allow for free pass thru. Use clamps to hold them to the side of your grain shoot while filling the silo. Would create a temporary enclosure keeping the grain going where it is suppose to.
How late did the chopping crew work? I'm guessing it's better all around to do at night with this crop? Probably machines run cooler too? That's one long day there wow.
Man that was so painful to watch the sprayer moewing down corn like that, hope the benefits outweigh the negatives! Cool seeing some new toys on the farm!
Sunrise...sunset! You and your dad get through an incredible amount of work in one day, but it is a long day. Beautiful drone shots and from the top of the silo. Just one fascinating video from beginning to end. God's peace be with you all.
3 questions for you. At what age did you start climbing to the top of the silos? How tall is your tallest silo? Last do you still get a little nervous when you are on top of them? Thanks for the videos.
Eric - last summer your wife brought out Evelyn to ur tractor when u were working in the fields and they rode with you for a short time, do you think you will do the same with summer but include Jack? It was fun to see you in the tractor with ur wife and daughter. Hope to see Jack, the 11th generation soon!!❤️. You’re a hard working family.
Hey Eric I don’t know if you remember me I sent you a letter about 2 years ago I live northern Michgan I live on and work on my uncles family dairy farm. Just this year we put a 150 expansion on our farm. We are now milking over 850 cows. I just wanted to let you know you inspired me i am 14 now and when I am old enough I am going to build a farm like yours.
When you are doing silage to put in the solos you can lay down plastic to help catch the silage that fallen to the ground and on top of the bin.Something think about

Same here, used to Dairy farm with me dad and got into chickens in 2008
@@christianterrill3503 They do dairy farm.
Looks like you had a good cutting. The more you grow...the less you have to spend to feed the cattle.
Your crops look so nice. Picturesque.
This video is very interesting from my opinion.
Eric which ones are better that brick ones or the blue ones for storing feed you think
That chain replacement process was impressive 👌
Sometimes video exaggerates how quickly/effortless a job is but I don't think that's the case this time. Good job by the guys!
For me climbing that silo at night might be my fear factor. Iam used to roofs!
Good one Eric. Cheers 🇨🇦
Corn is looking great
Yea a lot to do getting hay put away and spraying corn , milking cows an cleaning the mess up after your done. And keeping barns an milk barn cleaned . And a beautiful scenery at night time .

Your green fields are beautiful Eric!! It's a big contrast to our Texas crops suffering the weeks of no rain and blistering Temps of 105 degrees. Love how you and your dad work together.
A bale shredder! That’s exactly what I can use for bedding my cows, horses, pigs, sheep and goats.
Loved everything about this video time went fast !! Thanks Eric hope Emily & the kids are enjoying the beautiful summer!! 🙋♀️😊
I love watching you guys chop alfalfa! So satisfying!

Great video ERIC. Go put your feet up will you! Almost time to get up! 👍👍👍
Seems the chain replacement was the smart choice. Enjoy your videos
