I’ve been mixing my own music for 5+ years now. Over the weekend I mixed the same record around 9 times and could not get it sounding right. After watching one of your videos and buying the vocal template it really changed the way I view my whole process and it came out exactly as I envisioned it.

That is so true about what Cruz said about Full Sail. I'm an Alumni and they told us from jump to not only get your school work done, but also work on your craft on your own. Whatever audio field you decide to work in work on that! School is the foundation for me, now I have to build from there! Proud to see alum working together!

definitely a great episode!
I love that yall touched on "cut tracks". As a full time engineer here in Atlanta, having those cut tracks are absolutely mandatory.
If you want to take your speed a step further, add a couple drop tracks under your cut track. Tracks you can drop your vocals on quickly until you have a bit more time to put them on the appropriate track within your template.
Its a game changer.
(I even have specified "playlist" (mono and stereo) tracks that are always muted that i use exclusively for playlisting everything.)

FOR RAP VOCALS ITS ALWAYS COMPRESSION FIRST. YOU WANT TO EQ AN ALREADY COMPRESSED SIGNAL . ADD COMPRESSION AFTER EVERY 1 OR TWO COLOR EFX ADDED. COMPRESSION IS LIKE A STAMP PRESS. USE IT TO LOCK IN THE FLAVOR OF YOUR COLORING , AS WELL AS THE GROOVE OF THE VOCAL IN THE BEAT

S.O REAPER GANG!!! WE the STRONGESTTTT daw in the game, most customizable daw in the game. we got LUFS METERS IN THE BOUNCE WINDOW... THE REAL NERDS ROCK WIT REAPER!!! (on the new mac chips reaper started glithching after 112 tracks added..... PT stopped working after 72 tracks ..... reaper performed best out of PT, LOGIC ,, FL , AND STUDIO ONE @ 1024 BUFFER RATE...)
